Simply the best full breakfast for miles around, top class ingredients cooked freshly to perfection. If you don't fancy that go for the eggs royale, absolutely sublime. If that doesn't tempt your taste buds, sample the milkshakes, the best in the north west.

Tried this cafe for brunch. Great decision. We had full Welsh breakfast, inc. Sausage, bacon, eggs, tomato, mushrooms, beans, super thick toast and a pot of tea (served in proper tea pot and cups). Kids had sausage & bacon butties (on super thick bread). All food was excellent and for a very reasonable price. Really nice cafe old fashioned cafe / tea room and really nice staff. Would definitely recommend.

Our family ( including the dog) were made really welcome here by the lovely lady who was serving. It is a beautifully decorated quaint tearoom with the food served in proper China Great selection of food and drinks which were all delicious and very reasonably priced. The Victoria sponge with rhubarb and ginger jam which had been made that morning by the lady herself was out of this world. Thank you for a lovely visit we will definitely be returning.

Called in with my wife for a coffee and gluten-free cake after reading good reviews. Waited twenty minutes for the coffee and had the tiniest piece of gluten-free cake ever, certainly not worth the money I paid. The small cafe wasn’t busy either. I won’t be calling again.

We decided to call here today at 1pm to have the Welsh breakfast and are so glad we did. Beautifully cooked, fresh ingredients - very tasty. Shout out to the lady who was cooking-superb. We plan to call back next weekend to try the homemade sponge cakes which look delicious and are filled with cream and rhubarb or blueberries. This is an independent, local business - we should support and value these - especially in these difficult times.

Cannot comment on the food or service. Placed an order to be told they can't accept Scottish money and didn't accept card payments so had to leave rather embarrassed. Could maybe have a sign up to let people know beforehand? Haven't had a problem anywhere else in this lovely part of the county 🤔 slightly amused they tender tunnocks carmel wavers and logs which us Scots consider a national biscuit but will not accept scottish sterling notes..

Not long moved to Penmaenmawr and decided to try out the local cafes.Walked in lovely first impression, made to feel very welcome. Ordered and sat down and had a chat with some of the locals, was told was dog friendly so we brought ours in and made to feel just as welcome. We ordered the full Welsh breakfast and is one of the nicest we've had in a long time. Thank you for a lovely experience. See you soon Nessa, Dan and little Louie :)

Visited the cafe today, great impression as I entered, ordered tea, coffee and cakes and was embarrassed and disappointed to be told after being served that the cafe did not take Scottish bank notes, nor did it take card payments. Was told by member of staff to try another shop in the village to change our £20 note. As we had arrived yesterday, all we had was Scottish notes. Was told by member of staff that the bank would not except Scottish notes either. Have had a message from owner telling me that the legal side is Scottish notes, along side some other notes are not legal tender. Also that they have had a lot of forged notes in the past. Sorry, I Don,t except that. Not one place in North Wales that we have visited so far have had any issues taking our cash. If that is the case, they should have a notice somewhere in the cafe stating that they don't take Scottish money.

This is a convenient and handy stop on the Bangor Road from Bangor to Conwy, close to the free parking in the centre of the town. We stopped for lunch, and had a splendid time! Lovely food, nicely prepared and presented and no music, which is a happy feature these days ! Real Welsh butter on the bread! A real treat, and usually off limits for a diabetic like me, but once in a while, very special. Two very happy customers, sorry to leave. Wish we lived nearer, but hope to go back soon.

Table of four for food totally confused them. Toastie and chips, toastie arrived about 15mins earlier than the chips. There was probably 10mins between each of the four of us receiving our food. Which is down to the practice of doing one dish from start to finish before starting the other member of the table's food

We arrived wanting a snack during a break in our journey to Anglesey. It was 1.0pm and we were 5 minutes too late for chips as hot food finishes at 1.45pm. We ordered tea for 2 and received 2 mugs of tea, not the pot for 2 we were expecting (pots per person listed on menu), but the tea was good. We ordered 2 salmon sandwiches (we wanted a side order of chips). The sandwiches were good. Advertised on the menu and at the counter were home-made cakes but the display was empty. We asked for Bara Brith but were told it had been a busy week and the shopping hadn’t arrived yet. Presumably then the Bara Brith was not part of the home-made selection. We were the only customers in the café and the member of staff on duty proceeded to spray and wipe the tables, including the ones immediately adjacent to ours. This was a little disconcerting and we took the hint and paid. Nice sandwiches and nice tea, but lacking a few other niceties and details.

Popped in for some late breakfast, we both really enjoyed the food, nothing was too much trouble, a great variety of food to cater for vegetarians and gluten free dieters, which i was suprised to see for a small village cafe :) my partner had a cafetiere with local ground coffee beans (so they do serve more than instant, where otherwise stated in reviews) and it was lovely! They even gave our dog some yummy treats!

My husband and I stopped off here on our way to Anglesey. I have been past it many times on my way to Conwy. Actually visited it today and what a delightful place and very welcoming. Sadly we were a bit late for hot food as they close at 2pm on a Saturday, however my husband tried the apple crumble tart which he loved and I had a teacake. Betty's looks attractive, tucked beneath the Victorian wrought iron arcade and did not disappoint. Inside we found a cosy, little cafe, with a warm friendly atmosphere. Although we were approaching the deadline for ordering hot food, they were really obliging and we enjoyed some really tasty, freshly prepared hot sandwiches. The first reviewer seems to have landed in the wrong cafe altogether, as Betty's is NOT the American restaurant, which is found further along the road. I can only say our experience was the polar opposite to their opinion and we would not hesitate to return to this lovely little cafe. Great people, lovely food and really busy with many locals - always a good sign,

Tried to charge for a squeeze of Costco ketchup on my son’s chips after I spent £15 on drinks and chips. It’s easy to spend my hard earned money ANYWHERE else. Usually really like going out of my way to support local independent business that go the extra mile to attract more tourists to the area…. Won’t be coming back here unfortunately. Shame as the location is great. Perhaps this is a little petty, but I thought it just plain mean.
