We ordered the small fish and chips. It was cooked amazingly quickly, was piping hot and well presented, all for a very acceptable price. It made for an excellent lunch on a walking day, and the whole experience was lovely.

Came across the cafe by accident....what a great find. Very dog friendly, great menu including gluten and dairy free. Lush looking cakes which we may come back to sample after a dog walk. Such friendly staff. 5* all the way

Sunday lunch. I had turkey, beef pork veg option.veg carrots, broccoli (both cooked to perfection, just a small bite but not as hard (raw) as some places. Also coliflower cheese, mash potatoes and roast potatoes. The gravy was really tasty. Very much recommended.

Firstly the good. The coffee we had was really nice. We ordered 2 meals, a cheeseburger and some scampi, both came with chips. The burger looked and tasted very nice (I was told by my other half). My scampi was also nice, unfortunately the chips that came with my scampi were awful. Half of them were undercooked and a bit hard in the middle and the rest looked really horrible, with black parts still on them. My meal was about £12 and was not worth the price. I would not go here for a meal again.

We had a selection of sandwiches and paninis for lunch . They were very well presented and good value for money. We didn't have a big meal but we saw others eating enormous fish and chips which looked delicious. We also had hot drinks and there were cold drinks and cakes available.

The welcome was rude and very unprofessional- one lady kept on banging the cups and trays and clearly was not capable of customer interface - in hard times ahead for us all keeping customers happy is essential- clearly not important here! Won’t be back but looks like a nice cafe across the road !

Four of us had lunch sitting by the river. The food was really yummy and very reasonably priced and the service was brilliant - the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had fish and chips and it was so good! Really crispy and fresh. My husband had a sandwich and he’s usually quite fussy but he thought it was really nice, especially the homemade coleslaw. Another bonus is that the cafe is dog-friendly - they have water available, they sell doggy ice-cream and they even gave us some treats for our pup to enjoy while we had lunch. No, they didn’t have a couple of brands of pop, but they’re a small cafe in a small village so I think that’s forgivable. All in all, we had a very pleasant experience.

Pleasant place, but terribly disappointed. If you’re going to run a restaurant, make sure that you have enough food in place to run it. I don’t know if I’m a snob or if my tastes are just discerning, I just think condiments should be Heinz (especially at these prices). Upon sitting down, I was told we have no chicken. I thought that’s not very clever, you have Chicken and Mayo and coronation chicken sandwiches on the menu, but no chicken? Ok I’ll let that go… Then I was told sorry we haven’t got any Diet Coke either. Our server said to me If you want a diet drink, that they have water? WTF 😳 If you’re paying £5.50 for a ham sandwich that had one and a half slices of ham in it and a bit of mustard, salad on the side and a bit of coleslaw, I’d rather not have the coleslaw or salad, but have a loaded ham sandwich for that kind of money. £6.25 for a goats cheese and chutney panini. The plates were also different designs. Lol (See Pic) I’m from London and the price of the ham sandwich and panini was more than where I’m from. Wales 🏴 is not a cheap place to go for your holidays.

Good choice of drinks, including beer if you want it, good coffee, and really lovely, friendly ladies serving you and having a cheery chat at the same time. Really nice, we will definitely come again. Recommended.

We just fancied a cream tea last Saturday. None of it was homemade. Scone had been warmed up, the jam was in a plastic pouch and barely tasted of anything and worst of all the cream was plastic sweetened cream. Even the earl grey tea was watery. And we paid over £7 for the experience! The service wasn't much better. The worst cream tea I have ever had! We live in Harlech and visit Aberdaron regularly, we will never go there again and will advise anyone else doing the same!

We had lunch here and found the staff friendly and welcoming. Hubby had the ham, chips and egg but unfortunately his egg was very overcooked and rubbery, the ham was thin and quite fatty and the chips not great either. I had jacked potato with prawns which was OK, but the marie rose sauce on the prawns had a slightly strange taste, so it wasn't the most enjoyable meal for either of us. Nice location by the stream outside, but I don't think we'll go again.

Choice of seating....inside or outside, we decided to sit inside. Good choice on the menu. We both chose scampi and chips.( Could have had salad instead of chips)Didn’t have to wait long and a huge plate of scampi and chips arrived....and it tasted really good. Sachets of tartare sauce already on the table. The 2 ladies serving in the cafe were charming....couldn’t have been more pleasant. Rarely find scampi as cheap as £7.95 and it was well cooked, plentiful and the chips were good too. We both thoroughly enjoyed the lunch and unfortunately didn’t have room for a cake which all looked inviting.

We called in here at lunchtime for a bite to eat after walking the 4 mies along the coast path from Porth Ysgo. It was quite busy but we managed to find a table outside in the sunshine. The table was still covered in crockery and spilt milk from the previous visitors, but this was quickly cleared away. Orders are taken inside at the counter, we did wonder how long the food and drinks would be as everything seemed just a little disorganised. We need not have worried, the drinks arrived promptly soon to be followed by two lovely egg and crispy bacon sandwiches. The drinks were both piping hot and the sandwiches, side salad and coleslaw very fresh. Unlike some places where the sad salad has been hanging around all day, this was freshly prepared with a tasty dressing.

My wife and I were going to have a picnic on Aberdaron beach, but wanted a cup of tea first. However, upon entering this newly-refurbished cafe, we were very impressed with the style and cleanliness and the friendliness of the staff. We thought a bowl of home-made soup would be ideal and took up the offer of Soup and a Sandwich. The soup, Mushroom and Thyme, and it was a thick, absolutely delicious soup. My prawn sandwich was very generous and my wife had the ham sandwich, which again, was very generous. However, I noticed they had local crab sandwiches, so I treated myself. I am glad I did, as it was so tasty and again, a generous portion. With a pot of tea for two, which enjoyed our visit and found it to be very good value. We will definitely be going again.

On a recent visit to Barmouth we found this little Gem of a place that is open on Sundays. There was a special board out side and it was the Cheese and Onion pie that drew us in . Both my husband and me had this and it came with new potatoes and salad . It was delicious and very reasonably priced . We were naughty and were too tempted by the delicious homemade sweets and puds they had to offer . I had the jam and coconut cake and my husband opted for the apple pie. They were presented lovely with fruit and a pot of cream on the side. The staff were friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning next time we are in Barmouth

Fair prices and very friendly service. Outdoor seating where you can eat your food whilst enjoying the beautiful views of Llanberis and its surroundings. Also does delicious cakes, milkshakes and hot chocolate. Highly recommended.
