Tiniest bit of cod I've ever had. Not even an inch wide! £4.50 for probably 3 bites. Sausage was grey inside. Chips were OK though. Edit, I understand the concept of a cod bite being half a fish, but even if you doubled the size I was given it would only just then be half a fish!

Very enjoyable evening meal with good service. Great to visit a pub that caters both for holiday makers and its own community. The food was lovely. I had the fish and chips whilst my wife had the burger and chips after sharing the small plate choice of calamari. Great value too!

Well where to begin? My wife and I decided to celebrate our marriage with a low-key intimate evening meal with our families in this amazingly quaint, characterful and welcoming nook, set in a beautiful place. The owners were kind enough to go out of their way to open the restaurant specifically for us on a Thursday evening, and they constantly made us feel welcome, doing everything they could. Being a party of 22, they created a stunning dining space and decorated it impeccably to our taste! With the log fire on and views of the river, we felt so grateful. Despite being a big party, and only the two owners working, we never felt rushed and nothing was served too slowly. They even provided complimentary olives and focaccia which was amazing. The main meals themselves were generous, tasty and full of flavour. The majority of things, including the delicious Kimchi salad, was picked from their garden and the fresh fish to die for! The lobster rarebit was something else! Deserts were also amazing, although it was a challenge to eat such generous portions at the end! The Barti Tiramisu, excellent! We will be forever grateful to The Old Point House for facilitating our special day in such an amazing place and will recommend it to anyone! PS; a special mention for Sydney the Seal who decided to gate crash our photos by sunbathing in the background!

The chippy is called Môr Ffein, which google translates to “so fine”. These were much more than the common usage of ‘fine’, these were old school vintage levels of the word ‘fine’, these were the best chips I can remember having ever. They’re like a chip / french fry hybrid with all the best qualities of both. They were even able to accommodate the gluten free, coeliac of the group with a choice of beef or vegan chilli on a jacket potato. Lovely staff, very happy visit.

Me and my partner called in for a nice cupa and a bacon roll, as we went in i took a seat and an older lady with short blonde hair who seemed to be the supervisor was very abrupt no smile whatsoever and asked "how many" i replied "Two we are ok here are we?" She said im keeping this table for Four and we were then told where to sit like children! The decor was dark and morbid a bit like the staff! Lack in customer service. Couldnt wait to leave been here many of times and was never this bad before. They have a rope at the entrance to wait to be seated as if being caged in like an animal waiting to be freed!! Horrible atmoshphere never returning. Finally the lounge dont make me laugh! Should be renamed the dictatorship !!!! 1 star as the bacon roll was nice.

Great ice cream selection. Man working there was lovely. Other staff didn’t acknowledge us. Very unorganised place- our order came in drips-and-drabs. Very expensive for what we had- tried to check the recipe was right but there was no items listed on it. It’s okay as a cafe but wouldn’t visit again.
