We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry...
Awful.
The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.
Could not fault this place very friendly and helpful staff we enjoyed lunch that much
we returned next evening for a meal which we also very much enjoyed views from
restaurant were a real bonus definitely be back.
What an amazing Sunday lunch, by far the best we've ever tasted. Staff very friendly and helpful, cant wait to go back to try their bar menu and such a lovely setting.
A superb Christmas lunch for 12 adults. Nothing to much for the staff as we had a few who had starter and desert envy. So they were catered for as well. Portions were very generous, the beef and turkey were very tender. Nothing was rushed and we have all decided we will return in the New Year.(Sorry).
This was the first time I came here it was so nice inside and the bakery next door was great as well the food in foam was amazing and the staff was kind and lovey to chat too and it’s got lovely views of the boats.
Booked a table at 6pm for my fathers 85th birthday. Arrived at 5.55pm stood in restaurant to be told our table wasn't ready yet and to sit in the bar and have a drink . Tables were all pre laid and at that point in time we were the only customers in the entire restaurant. Went to bar, no staff , waited until a staff member came along asked for 2 gin and tonics and was told he couldn't serve me. Another member of staff came along and served us. At this point our table was ready. Service was slow and the staff seem very half hearted about serving you , almost as though they couldn't be bothered. Food was very well presented but dessert (Xmas pudding ) was just luke warm. A plate with happy birthday and 3 macaroons was presented at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. All in all a bit disappointing for a meal that came to almost £160 Ior 3 people I expected better.
Our first breakfast out since Dec 2020 and we were very disappointed. We weren't greeted by any staff when entering, many if them didn't even acknowledge us. My drinks order was wrong, I ordered a mocha and was brought a latte but out of politeness and due to the amount of people there I didn't say anything. Food was extremely poor. I ordered eggs benedict and after a 30 minute wait my partner and I were brought another tables food. When ours eventually arrived, my eggs benedict had serano ham (rather than normal ham which it did not state on the menu) which I don't eat. Both pieces of my toast were rock solid, only one piece of toast had hollandaise sauce on (which the sauce itself was like water) and both of my poached eggs were hard. My partner had a BLT which mostly consisted of excessive amounts of lettuce and not much else. We were so looking forward to being able to dine out for breakfast again but were both left pretty disappointed by both the food and the service.
Absolutely the best Indian meal I have had in such a long time .
The waiters were all very friendly and attentive . They helped us pick our food choices and they didn’t get it wrong . Plenty of delicious flavours .
We will definitely go back in a heart beat .
Plenty of parking and a lovely clean restaurant
Was looking forward to our visit as it has been many years since we last tried the Wolfe inn, under different owners which was dreadful back then. The food, this time was great, hot and well presented. However, the waiting time was awful. 1hr and 10mins from arrival to finally receiving our food. Getting additional drinks for the table was difficult, and not once did anyone ask if we needed anything further or if everything was OK with the meal...disappointing really. The prices were a bit steep for certain menu items, which when coupled with everything else I have mentioned and the stuffy room, when it filled up with diners was overly hot, put us off returning again, shame as the food was good, just the whole package needs tweaking!! We would have loved to stay for dessert but we feared another long wait and work beckoned in the morning :(
We visited the inn whilst on holiday on Saundersfoot. What a great pub.Very quirky inside with excellent real ale and delicious food. We liked it so much we went back again the following night!
AMAZING !!!!! What a fabulous place for lunch.
Very dog friendly.
Great Food, Lovely Service, Great Location.
We loved it and would highly recommend this place.
We will be back.
The chippy is called Môr Ffein, which google translates to “so fine”. These were much more than the common usage of ‘fine’, these were old school vintage levels of the word ‘fine’, these were the best chips I can remember having ever. They’re like a chip / french fry hybrid with all the best qualities of both. They were even able to accommodate the gluten free, coeliac of the group with a choice of beef or vegan chilli on a jacket potato. Lovely staff, very happy visit.
Vey nice meal service reasonable good staff very friendly and courteous food very reasonably priced will tell family when they next visit definitely reccomend
