We took our friend who is in a wheelchair. There are 2 doors, one with a difficult ramp and one with an easy ramp. When I went in to ask if we could use the easy ramp I was told 'no thats for takeaways only'. I explained the wheelchair is manual and we aren't very strong. Bearing in mind its all the same room, no one was waiting (it was half empty) and tables are right there ready to be used. Again the staff said 'its takeaway or nothing'!! It took 3 of us to lift the chair in! Very strange atmosphere, it felt like they had all just had an argument and the tone of voice and attitude towards us was borderline aggressive. When we realised how dirty it was as well we decided never again. Shame its a great setting. Guess where we had to walk through to pay!!?

Staff stood eating at the counter constantly, licking fingers in between preparing food and drinks. The premises is not particularly clean. A customer was changing a dirty nappy right by the till/food. Customers allowing dogs to stand up with paws on table.

More of a seaside bar than a pub, food all day is a big bonus. Good choice of food, including basic pub food and Thai curries, so all the family were happy. A bit noisy on the Saturday night we visited, but liked it enough that we went again midweek and was a bit more laid back, but still busy due to a quiz night (think it's bingo on Tues, quiz on Wed). Good service. Got the impression that inside was mainly locals, but as tourists we were welcomed in along with many others sitting outside enjoying the last of the sun and the view of the sea.

We were utterly shocked at the prices, they were asking £9.00 for a sandwich, £4.70 for a sausage roll, Still water 500ml £3.30 Can of Pepsi 330ml £2.20 the prices go on. Come on National Trust this is extortionate to charge these prices. Whoever is in charge of the pricing is clearly out of touch with normal folk. I dare say your staff are on minimum wages and have to bear with the raised eye brows of their shocked customers. We will bring a packed lunch next time, shocking!

This is a great place to eat and very local to us when we holiday in St Florence. 4 of us had something different off the menu and all food was home cooked, piping hot and delicious. The menu is not extensive. Just good pub food and the dining area is nothing special, but quiet, so you can have a conversation in peace. Recommended if you like plain and simple.

Visited with family. Such sad news at the passing of a great lady. As usual however the food was great an olde worlde type, no new coffee still just the same old coffee taste great. Reading one previous review I think if you want soya and lactose free you need to visit Costa! This place caters for those who want a great meal after a walk. The scones with jam and clotted cream were nice, cheese on toast very good, coronation chicken sandwich beautiful. This is a place to visit and revisit as my family and I do yearly at least three times v

Service with a smile but the place was pretty dead and felt very out of place here as a visitor.

If you are somewhat fed up of trying to find a table in an overcrowded Tenby pub or restaurant at this time of the year, then why not take a short drive towards Pembroke, next to Penally station, you'll find The New Overlander pub and restaurant. It will be worth the drive. Simple, yet delicious home cooked meals, well presented by accommodating and welcoming staff. If you are not the driver, try one of their many cocktails to conclude your visit.

We had Afternoon Tea booked for us as an Anniversary treat from Family members. Very Welcoming, friendly and plenty of smiles right from the start. The staff couldn't have been more obliging to us 3, and also our pooch. The Afternoon Tea was fabulous - plenty of everything and so much choice. What we couldn't manage to eat the staff boxed for us to take away. We enjoyed it so much we booked to return for Sunday lunch in 2 weeks time. Lovely to have a local cafe to have breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea - good prices, and really enjoyable food. Absolutely recommended 👍💐💖

We returned to Whitesands for our summer holiday after a 7 year break and were so disappointed with the cafe. It used to have a vast array of affordable beach equipment, pretty much anything you needed for the children could be found at reasonable prices if a last minute breakage had occurred. We bought a replacement bodyboard at the shop only to find one in the City £15 cheaper! Now the range is very poor and overpriced. The menu has been drastically reduced and massively over priced and the staff (with the exception of one lady) are glum and unwelcoming. Everyone in our party passed comment on how they felt they were an inconvenience just being there! Prior to the holiday we’d told them how fabulous this place was only to be left quite embarrassed at how they were received and how dismal and overpriced the products were. This cafe used to be the heart of Whitesands beach but an obvious attempt to minimise the food and product range for maximum profit has knocked the heart out of it. As a positive the fish burgers are delicious, the coffee is good and it looks and feels clean, although we soon found alternatives for our days on the beach out of sheer disappointment, we were there for two weeks. What a wasted opportunity Whitesands Cafe. This place could be so much better without exploiting your customers in this beautiful, isolated spot. We’ll be back next year as Whitesands beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Wales, full of wonderful wildlife, walks and history, it’s just a shame that what should be means of encouraging visitors to this isolated spot is falling so desperately short.
