We were utterly shocked at the prices, they were asking £9.00 for a sandwich, £4.70 for a sausage roll, Still water 500ml £3.30 Can of Pepsi 330ml £2.20 the prices go on. Come on National Trust this is extortionate to charge these prices. Whoever is in charge of the pricing is clearly out of touch with normal folk. I dare say your staff are on minimum wages and have to bear with the raised eye brows of their shocked customers. We will bring a packed lunch next time, shocking!

Well I say lunch but actually when I saw they were charging over £9 for a "grilled cheese and onion sandwich" I didn't bother and had a coffee and rather disappointing chocolate sultana tiffin. My husband enjoyed the vegan pasty which he has had before and our daughter and her friend had the over priced sandwich (£6.80 if you forego the salad and coleslaw, although that didn't appear to be advertised. It was because the customer in front of us asked rather incredulously if the salad was extra again on the £9.10 and was told no in was included!) and a jacket potato at £8.30. Both OK but not fantastic and definitely over priced. Come on National Trust you should do better, members no longer get a discount, we pay for parking and the young staff have to field the customer raised eye brows and complaints at the prices. We had excellent fish and chips the following night for 4 from Pembroke for less money than 3 basic lunches and two tiffin, and 4 basic drinks.

Living just up the road this place is halfway round our favourite walk. We don’t often stop as we are always disappointed with the standard of food here. Lovely location , coffee is generally good. Long since stopped having scones here! Tried eggs on toast this morning. Two overcooked fried eggs on dry rock hard sourdough toast. Is there a problem with simple cooking or putting butter on toast ? Bonus though was feeding the toast to all the chaffinchs

This place used to be an excellent location for coffee, cake and a sandwich. Not any more. No longer any proper cups or cutlery, expect cardboard cups and disposable spoons, etc. Even the scones come in a paper bag instead of on a plate now. Don't expect service at the outside tables. Order inside and they page you when it's ready to collect. Coffee just about drinkable. Food quality OK. I wouldn't mind the overpricing if the service and quality was up to scratch. It wasn't. This place has gone seriously downhill over the last few years. Next time I will be going to Mencap Gardens cafe instead which is a couple of miles away, set in a very old walled garden. It has good quality food, proper china and cutlery, table service if you are sitting outside, clean and tidy toilets. And free parking. Bingo!

I checked web site in the morning to see opening times for lunch i planned to walk with my 87 year old Mum from Bosheston, a long walk for most and a few big cliffs to climb, we were very disappointed to find this cafe closed. A long with other places around Pembrokeshire businesses are slow or not bothered to update their opening times to the time of year. My lesson has been learnt to phone venues before taking long walks particularly with elderly relatives. The walk back was still beautiful and thankfully the weather held good. They open for season again Saturday 11th Feb and from previous experience good food

How disappointing. Years ago this was a thriving cafe renowned for fabulous food in a lovely location. Every time we go now it gets worse and worse. Stopped here for a post walk lunch and I have to say the food wasn't good. We ordered a sausage roll which I think was a good quality product, based on the flavour of the sausage, but was ruined by being microwaved. This made the pastry soggy and greasy. Paid £3.75 for a cheese and chutney sandwich which came as described - no attempt at garnish. Bread was unappetising as was the filling - screamed 'rip off'. Great Location and just what is needed after a long walk across the cliffs and around the Stackpole Estate. Good ice cream parlour too.

Lovely cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating. Quality of the food is excellent. Run by the National Trust. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Favourite spot for us when walking the Pembrokeshire coast path in the area.

We live in the village. Keen to support local business ... but sorry... Awful. The food was awful! Dry and old. They did offer an alternative but it was SO awful that I was happy to leave. Never again.

Went for lunch at this venue yesterday. Don't order the garlic mushroom starter as it's a rip off. Got one puny slice of bread with what would probably equate to about two button mushrooms and creamy sauce, although it tasted great, come on £7.95 for this. Previously had more value for money with the previous owners. The small plate ham & egg was very good though and the service off Gleisny was good as always.

Didn’t disappoint. Lovely meals all served with humongous Yorkshire puds! Lashings of gravy and the cheesy leek dish was the best!
