First time ever had food at the restaurant and would highly recommend it. Plenty of fish recipes, wife was delighted and enough options for me and the kids aswell. We were told there might be a possible delay on food, in all honesty it was the standard time you'd expect to wait and looking out to the harbour spotting boats and birds including a swan flying the kids were enjoying the view. Kids meals were plentiful, had I realised the size we would have ordered 1 meal and split it between them. Both adults meals were very tasty and we have already recommended going there to our friends and family.

Had a vegan dinner at Maddison this evening and was quite disappointed. The service was lovely and we were very well taken care of. We ordered off the vegan menu and the food came quickly however the portions were small for the price point and were very sad that the chips were oven chips not triple cooked as stated on menu. + Music was lovely

Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visits to The Ship Aground whilst staying in our bungalow in the area. As always, we received a warm welcome from Julian, Alison, the rest of the team and the locals, with the beer to its' usual high standard. The place was buzzing on the occasions we visited and I only wish that this pub was in Cardiff!! Looking forward to our next visit.

The Bothy Tea Room were an unexpected but pleasant surprise. Situated at the Colby Woodland Gardens, what set the tearooms apart from typical cafés at National Trust grounds was the array of loose leaf teas on the menu. There were some delightful-sounding herbal brews, of which we only time to try one, in addition to their black tea house blend. All teas and cakes were served in bone china, which made the tea-drinking experience truly decadent. There was a good freshly-baked cake selection too, which perfectly complemented their teas. For a tea and cake-focussed room, they had some surprisingly inventive bread rolls and baguettes, too. Service was polite and helpful, and the staff managed well during the busy time we visited. Located at the Colby Woodland Gardens, the location was perfect for lunch during the middle or at the end of a walk. It does become very busy during the middle of the day, though. There is a little indoor seating, with many more benches outside. We were delighted to have lunch and tea here, and would fully recommend it!

Booked a table for 2 for sunday lunch at 2pm. We were given a menu & we both chose the lamb, which we were told had sold out. Disappointing, but we opted for the beef. Our food was eventually served 50 mins later on cold plates followed by a tureen of vegetables 5mins after that , with a tiny jug of gravy ( to share!), which was also cold! We complained to the waiter who took both plates away to heat up, which took a further 5 mins & he brought them back one at a time, with extra jug of gravy. By which time the tureen of veg was also cold..but to be honest by then we had lost the will to live! But warmed up or cold, the meal wasnt good. While the beef was tasty, the roasties were like bullets, and the parsnips charred to a crisp & the vegetables were cold & tasteless. The mashed potato tasted & looked like it was from a packet. We did ask for the dessert menu, but since only 2 items were available, neither of which appealed to us, we paid the bill & left. As we made our way to the car park a man ,who was sat in the smoking shelter, asked if we had enjoyed our meal ( we think he was probably the landlord?!). My husband told him how how awful it had been, & all he said was "Aw..sorry bout that"! We will definitely not be returning or recommending this place to others.

Tues eve at gellifawr for an evening meal. Very limited choice but thankfully neither of us are fussy. We asked why there wasn't no music on and apparently speaker wasn't working which made things very quiet and awkward. The waiter was great, isaac, no faults at all, felt sorry for him if I'm honest. He offered us drinks, no lager :/. The meal then was very disappointing. Very greasy and small portions, no flavour. Tonight's bill was 47.. Last night's at a nearby pub was 26... No comparison. Last night's was 10x better. Very disapointed. 3/10
