Visited this pub twice on a weekend away. The Landlady was really helpful, both in booking the tables and also as regards sorting out taxi numbers for us. The Staff were lovely, very helpful. Food was amazing, especially Sunday lunch, we all agreed it was the nicest we had ever had. Thanks to all, will definitely be visiting again

Have had a few takeaways from the Bush Inn Llandissilio since lockdown and we cannot fault the food. Last night we had a fabulous curry with rice and chips, a tasty homemade Cottage pie including peas and chips and a Bush burger with accompanying chips. All hot, tasty and very reasonably priced. If you can support this local pub by treating yourself to a takeaway during these strange times, then please do so.

Due to this horrid virus the Bush inn have started to make takeaways. As a family we have had delicious meals there during this time. It’s so easy to order and pay over the phone and the staff are really lovely and accommodating. The menu is really varied and they offer new specials each week. We also find the prices are really fair. I also like the fact that they have such a great no contact pick system where they stagger each customer pick up. Cleanliness due to this virus is also very important to them as they clean the table thoroughly after each customer which is reassuring to see. We are very lucky to have such a brilliant restaurant within our community giving us the joy of having a takeaway during these strange times. Well worth a visit. Many thanks.

Dined at The Bush Inn twice over the Christmas holidays, firstly there were twelve of us for Sunday lunch the weekend before Christmas. Had a brilliant afternoon/night, food was faultless, good home cooking with fresh veg and every meal served quickly and hot. Second visit was New Years Day evening this time there were seven of us having various meals off the menu, all meals again cooked to perfection especially the sirloin steaks that myself and my partner had. Good banter with all the staff.

I visited the Bush Inn on the Sunday before Christmas for Sunday lunch with my husband and 90 year old mother. Although they were very busy with Christmas lunch customers, we were made very welcome, the staff were friendly and very efficient. Our meals came promptly, hot and on hot plates - plenty of meat and loads of well cooked vegetables. The desserts were delicious. All in all a great meal, great staff and can thoroughly recommend it. Well done all at the Bush Inn - especially the landlady who obviously works very hard to make the inn a success.

My boyfriend and I visited while staying in Bluestone. We fancied something different and googled somewhere local. The Bush had good reviews so we gave it a go. It did not disappoint! I had the gammon, which was the best I’ve had. A huge plate with salad, veg and onion rings. I had the creamy garlic and herb potatoes on the side, which were so tasty. My boyfriend had the mixed grill. It was huge and such good quality. Both of us were very impressed and are gutted that we live so far! Well worth a visit!

Phoned on a Sunday before our visit (staying very local to The Bush at a B & B) to confirm opening hours etc, and had a warm response - they had just served 100 Sunday Lunches/Dinners that day, so must be popular! We were not disappointed, on a wet Monday evening we received a very warm welcome and excellent service. Our meals were delicious and hot, and very reasonable in price. Would have no problem in recommending The Bush Inn to other customers.

Arrived just after they opened, to a very warm welcome by the two ladies. We'd been watching the rugby in the car on the way up and they immediately put it on their TV for us and also put comfy chairs in the alcove so we could carry on watching it. The food was absolutely amazing - the brocolli and stilton soup was out of this world. My husband's gammon so was big he couldn't eat it all - very generous portions. I had the salmon and it too was stunning. The service was always with a smile and very friendly. Unfortunately we were too early on the way home to call in again, but we will definitely be calling in again en route to our holiday destination of Cardigan.

Menu same old same old.... lacks imagination. Vegetables as a side I believe from their texture and the water were frozen (well certainly the broccoli). I had lamb shank which was tasteless, dried to a crisp presumably during reheating so most of meat inedible - so much so I thought it was bone! Served with mash and came with peas but no mention of thise so had a side of vegetables which were unnecessary and included more potatoes (?). Also no children’s menu.... (?)..... Management - please take this as positive criticism- there is so much potential if you get it right!

My family and I felt so comfortable straight away. We were able to place an order straight away and we were seated very promptly. When the food arrived we were amazed, with a large plate of beef, roast potatoes, 2 Yorkshire puddings, stuffing, and parsnips. With the meal came a large bowl of vegetables with lots of variety, along with a bowl of leak soup and a large pot of gravy (which was very tasty). The waiting staff was more than excellent they made sure that we were happy and everything was good. After this meal I can assure you that I will be returning. Thank you very much.

I joined a group of ladies for a birthday lunch and as there wee 14 of us I did wonder if the kitchen would cope with such a large number of varied meals. I was not disappointed - all the meals came out piping hot but not dried out from sitting under a hot lamp. The portions were generous and the chips were proper fresh homemade. I had bangers and mash with a gravy boat of onion gravy so I could have a much or as little as I wanted. It was delicious!! The icing on the cake for me is that all the meals (like the b&m;) are served with fresh mixed vegetables - WELL DONE JO! as so many pubs just add a spoon of peas or an excuse for a side salad which always disappoints. Oh, the lemon & lime cheesecake was homemade and gorgeous, served with a choice of ice cream or cream.

Living just the other side of Clynderwen, we used to frequent The Bush all the time many years ago before it was, as far as we were concerned, done up and ruined by previous owners. However, on learning it had changed hands we decided to give it try so went with friends for supper there on Saturday. The staff were extremely friendly and polite and there was a good atmosphere. The menu was short which, in my eyes, is always a good sign as it means the food is usually homemade and fresh rather than taken from the freezer and microwaved and this assumption was correct. Three of us had excellent rump steaks which were perfectly cooked and delicious and my husband had the homemade curry which was also good. I am delighted to have somewhere serving good pub food close by and, as we run a B&B;, will certainly recommend it to our guests as somewhere to go and eat. The food was very good value and we will certainly eat there again.
