Harbwr Tenby in Pembrokeshire

We escaped a downpour here, we weren't planning on lunch, but ordered a sausage sandwich to share and it was great. The place was packed and very busy, but we'll run. The buildings are interesting, a maze of properties joined together, with the brewery downstairs. There's also a shop and coffee shop part of Harbwr. There are many places to eat and drink in Tenby and this one should not be missed

This pub is huge and like a tardis, it goes on for ever. There is a brewery on site. The food and service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. We ate there most days, because there was such variety of diffent items on the menu. The beer garden is huge and is a sun trap. Dogs are allowed.

Stayed in Lydstep for a week in June (my wife, myself and Luna the dog), our son and his girlfriend visited us for a day and introduced us to Harbwr, Wow! What a gem😁 Food was excellent and choice of beer (brewed on site) was also faultless. I think I must have sampled them all during the week. Staffordshire all friendly and helpful and the same for customers, some were local and others visiting. The venue in Tenby is like a TARDIS, it just keeps going back ( we enjoyed the Tap room). We enjoyed so much we are returning for another week in September.

I've never visited a pub before where you can just freely walk into the on-site brewery and actually see the beers being made, which most others don't let you do. This pub goes on and on right into the next street corner and it all feels part of the same complex. It also has an excellent shop which sells Harbwr's range of beers, local spirits and clothing, I purchased a wonderful sweatshirt.. The food is excellent do but I felt my special harbwr dog was a little on the small side, however my three lamb sausages which formed up the "dog" were all delectable and the chips are scoop shaped to pick up more sauce. My colleague has some of the best fish and chips she has ever tasted and my second colleague had some grilled chicken. For the non ale drinkers there's also Japanese regular Asahi and also Guinness and Madri. We were all astounded by the vast range of food and drink and we will all be returning if we are in the area again. I think in future you should offer beer flights, because there's quite a good variety of beers and gives the chance to try three at once.

Arrived at the front bar and ate in the tap rooms, informal order at the bar , top range of their own beers We ordered the cod special Cod loin roasted , romesco salsa, local new potatoes and a good selection of green veg and whole carrots all nicely cooked and just the job on a wet welsh day

A warm and very busy pub restaurant on the main street. We were so lucky to get a table at lunchtime on New Year's Eve. Despite being packed and really busy with orders for food, the staff were friendly and very welcoming. We all enjoyed our - my fish pie was fab. They were serving a brew called Crimson which my husband particularly enjoyed too. Highly recommended!

We visited on New Years Day and this was very busy. It is a bit of a maze so if it looks full at the front there may be room at the back, particularly on the outdoor patio. There is a good selection of beers from their brewery downstairs and the sandwiches are excellent.

Great food and service along with a decent family atmosphere. Felt like the hive of activity on a rainy January day. Burger was great value and tasty, as was my wife’s bangers and mash (complete with samphire and heritage carrots). My daughter had a good kids’ meal too with her fish and chips all being finished. Would definitely recommend for a hearty informal, chilled out bit of eating!

Brilliant beer, service and food as always! Looking forward to our next Tenby visit already. A visit to Harbwr always needs to be done.

Love it here. Lovely venue and hadn’t realised quite how big it is. Only ever sat in the bar at the front but on Friday they took us out to another building at the back as the bar was full. Loads of outdoor seating on the way which would be lovely in the summer. We were out by the fire as it was so cold which was really thoughtful. The food we ordered was fresh, good quality and the portions were a decent size. Plenty of choice for drinks and a nice atmosphere. Would definitely recommend. We always make sure we visit when we are in Tenby.

One of the tastiest roast dinners I’ve had in a very long time. I highly recommend the beef. Flavours were stunning. Service was very quick and attentive and will definitely return when back in Tenby. Thank you.

The staff was friendly and helpful. They made sure everything was alright and even had a friendly conversation when they found out I was from America. I got the bbq rack of ribs and it was amazing. The chips and Cole slaw that came along with it were also great. The serving size was huge and made up for me skipping lunch. This was an overall amazing experience for my first night in Tenby

I don’t know where to start on this place. On the day we arrived in Tenby we decided to pop in for a drink so sat in the courtyard in little beach hut with a heater which was a plus. Then discovered the brewery and all the other hidden areas, it was like the gift that kept giving. Unfortunately we left it too late to book for an evening meal so decided to book for the following evening and boy were we glad we did. We sat in the main restaurant area which was cozy on a stormy night, thanks to Storm Agnes. We had the 10oz Sirloin and the sea bass Greek salad. I genuinely didn’t want mine to end, the sea bass and salad was spot on, wish I knew how to cook fish like that. Thank you, what a fabulous place.

Friendly helpful staff. Fantastic locally brewed beers, decent wines. I had the minted lamb steak. When I ordered it, I said, "It will be pink, won't it?" and the bar person replied, "I'm sure they know what they're doing." I wasn't entirely convinced... It arrived with a steak knife and my heart sank - it was not pink which was so disappointing. It tasted good but was a bit chewy, without the wonderful juicy tenderness of perfectly cooked lamb. That was the only bum note. My lamb came with a pile of well cooked veg: cavolo nero with no stems, baby carrots, green beans and new potatoes - more veg than I could eat, and I can eat a lot of veg - and a nice gravy. I had a glass of Shiraz which went well. My companion had a pint of Trawler's Dread which was delicious - I had a sip - and a bowl of halloumi fries with spicy mayo, again a generous portion. I thought the prices were reasonable for what we had, especially by Tenby standards. We were lucky to sit in a great little two-person booth. I would gladly eat here again, though I wouldn't order the lamb.

This bar serves up it's own beer. There are many to choose from. Between us, we liked all the ones we tried. Lovely ale.

A busy summer holiday lunchtime but the service was super efficient, food was excellent and portions were huge! We returned later for a couple of drinks in the alleyway tap room - beers and seaweed gins were excellent too.
