Blas Restaurant in Pembrokeshire

Hard to improve on this. Halibut entree was superb. Salmon starter was top shelf. Knowledgeable maitre d’. Attractive presentations of all dishes. Everything was cooked perfectly. Delicious sauces. Attractive decor.

I’ve been fortunate enough to stay at the hotel and have enjoyed this restaurant multiple times over the years. My dining experience this past Monday was absolutely wonderful. Each dish perfectly prepared and an absolute smasher. The staff as always were excellent, and the 3 courses I chose upon the teams recommendation were world class stunners. I can’t speak highly enough of the entire experience. It really is the best in Pembs and my favourite meal since I visited Daniel restaurant in NYC last year.

Very disappointing! Visited for Sunday lunch as a family and what can I say it was not good. We ordered four starters, the pancake rolls were soggy, served on wilted lettuce which was brown on the ends, the prawn cocktail was laughable and I had pate which was served with stale bread. One starter arrived around 12 minutes after everyone had finished which was awful. The Sunday lunch was ok but the veg came with cauliflower cheese (my daughter in law has an allergy) we had to ask for new veg for her. Dinner was served with sprouts (not in season) morgue tout which was awful and a mashed something which we couldn’t make out. No extra gravy was given! I spoke to the server who said she would speak to the chef and manager and that was the last we heard, no apologies or discounts. Shocking!!!! AVOID

Crab starter and Halibut main course was incredible. It’s a small seasonal menu, well curated. Some of the best up-market food we’ve had in Wales.

ein exzellentes Restaurant in einem exzellenten Hotel. sehr gute Fischgerichte wir hatten den heilbutt. die weinkarte ist übersichtlich und sehr fair von den preisen aber qualitativ absolut hochstehend. eine sehr ruhige Atmosphäre im Restaurant und ein perfektes Service runden einen gelungenen Abend ab.

Very good food and wine... the ambience would not be to everyone's taste, quite somber, with hundreds of pieces of contemporary art, but worth a visit.

Good presentation, bland food, odd service. We had starters, main and dessert on a Friday night. Mackerel starter was fresh but plain and very uninteresting. Not worth the money or small portion. Two of us had beef cheek for main, both over cooked and plain. For a £28 main and an empty restaurant, there aren’t many excuses for this. Kudos to the restaurant for taking both mains off the bill but there seemed to be personal offence for calling out food cooked poorly or asking 3 times for more water… ‘Chocolate’ dessert was tiny and tasteless - I wished I had picked something up from the Nisa on the taxi home for 1/3 of the price. For an empty restaurant, silver service, and prices equivalent to a high end restaurant, Blas needs to up their game.

Excellent, attentive staff. Good fresh food, well cooked. We were happy with the choices, but very small range, which was unchanged during our stay except for one thing. Vegetable accompaniments were limited to one potato and one cabbage dish, which we had every day!

Very smart restaurant, set in the the idealic setting of St Davids near Haverfordwest. The restaurant has a smart contemporary feel. The food is excellent and the service from Domonic very good. Thanks for a great visit

Fairly limited menu but interesting. Enjoyed starter and main course but the piece de resistance was the dessert. Delicious. Wine was good too. Service was also pretty good

We went there for afternoon tea. Delightful. Thank goodness they provide doggy bags - it kept us going for three days .

A little disappointing, never been asked to pay for a few more sandwiches anywhere else, only one type of tea offered and service a little shaky. However the food was reasonably good

Outstanding customer service and attention to detail. The food was beautiful, cocktails were delicious and staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommended, we will definitely be returning.

Well – so much to say. Chef didn’t seem to know the difference between rare lamb and raw lamb. Portions are stupidly small, even for fine dining. The staff were very nice – but what they are required to do is very pretentious. For the record we ate at Cwtch before it closed, and more recently The Shed in Porthgain, Tom Kerridge’s Hand and Flowers and Tom Kitchin’s Southside Scran in Edinburgh.
