Traditional, characterful pub owned and run by a decent man. Good local customers and selection of drinks. No food but if you want a welcome where you dont have to feel like a holidaymaker, this place is for you.
Nice beer and friendly owner/staff. Dog friendly. Stopped doing food earlier this year due to the drop in business over covid. A shame. May start again but unsure.
Lovely little cafe. beautiful food very friendly staff Samantha was our waitress she was a delight. Would recommend the home made cakes made by Fiona they are lush.
Stopped here on our way around Fishguard for an Ice Cream. Having recently started on a Dairy Free diet, I wasn't hopeful that they would have anything I could eat, but they had some Vegan Vanilla Ice Cream, which I ate in a tub. It was certainly the best Vegan Ice Cream I have had to date, and I wish I had asked which brand they used as their supplier. It made our return trip to our honeymoon destination memorable!! Great little place.
We stayed here in The Old Chapel cottage from 23rd - 27th Dec, just arrived home in fact.
What can I say? From arrival to departure it was an absolute treat!! On arrival the key was in the door & we unpacked & settled in nicely. The cottage was extremely clean & well furnished with a comfortable bed/mattress, comfortable seating & a small dining table. There's a lovely log burner for those who know how to get the best out of them, we didn't have much luck with it but that was down to us & not the burner. Kindling, logs & matches were provided. We also found a nice welcome gift of lager, wine & mince pies plus a well filled hospitality tray to start us off.
The site was very quiet, perhaps because it's Christmas week, but very well kept, immaculate in fact.
The clubhouse was open on Christmas Eve so we popped in for a drink & found the hosts & some locals to be very welcoming.
On departure we left the cottage clean & tidy & returned the key to the door as found. We did however meet a staff member as we left who was very nice to speak to, as was Jess, the owner of the cottages, when we met her on Christmas Eve.
Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable, we'll certainly be back again.
Went here for lunch but so wish we hadn't!! it's obviously changed hands from reviews a few months ago. Terrible service awful food and not even any labels saying what anything was or prices!! The customers that were there kept going up to the counter to ask for basic things such as a teaspoon, ketchup etc. Wasn't asked if we wanted brown or white bread with our choices until I asked!! Total waste of my hard earned money!!
We’ve been coming to Mamgu’s since when they were previously in Solva, their homemade Welsh cakes are always superb.
Today we stopped for lunch after a long dog walk on the adjacent beach, my wife had their savoury cheese and leek Welshcakes with beans which she enjoyed, I went for their Lamb Cawl.
The Cawl, by a very, very long distance, was the best I’ve had anywhere in Wales. Highly recommended, lovely flavour, decent portion, lots of lamb, fresh break roll. Will Go back for this again 100/100.
This was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. delicious local food, much of it from the farm. 8 courses for a very reasonable price. would highly recommend.
Best Breakfast in West wales.
Staff are superb, food is excellent
Dim problem parking. Green reviver is great.
Never any long wait for food. BLT is worth a try,
Excellent first time here. Roast was brilliant looking forward to the next visit which will be very soon I hope. Very good. Plenty of really hot vegetables. I had the nut roast which was tasty. Mum had beef which she said was nice. Staff were very pleasant.
Very good COVID precautions in practice.
Friendly staff.
Steaks cooked to requirement - didn’t wait long. Very tasty! So good we went back twice! Thank you.
