The best restaurants in Pont-y-clun Rhondda Cynon Taf South Wales

I’m quite shocked to see that the miskin arms does not have a 5*. We visit frequently if we ever fancy some nice food and it has NEVER disappointed. I’m also shocked to see that people are writing that the portion sizes are small. I’ve always left the feeling of my stomach about to burst as I struggle to eat it all but can’t bare to leave anything as the food is so good! I often recommend this place to family and friends for any occasions or date nights, it really is our go to (coming from someone who loves good food!) the manager / owner (older gentleman) always makes the effort to come and chat and ask about the food. The service is next to none, could not recommend anymore. With all that being said, for context, we often travel close to an hour to come here, so it goes without saying how well worth it, it is for me!

Always have a great time at The Bru, the place has completely turned around in the last two years, with the comedy nights and the regular live music, it’s the best place in Pontyclun for a night out

Welcomed with our dog, found ideal seating. Choice of 2 different menu’s, very reasonably priced. Went for the Fish Chips & Hunters Chicken, superbly cooked. Received excellent service from Lola. A further visit whilst on holiday, is expected

The staff at The Boars Head were super accommodating and really patient with me while booking a large group for an outing with colleagues. The service when we got there was excellent and the food was good sized portions and tasted delicious. We had a great time and the atmosphere in the pub was relaxed with quiet background music.

couple of friends recommended this establishment as the food was excellent. thought i would give it a try. Noticed that there was no halal warning on their website so made a phone call. All their food is halal, so i will not be ordering food from them. Halal slaughter is such a barbaric act to carry out on animals. Why i am sensitive with halal, i am an ex farmer and passionate of animal welfare.

Had a brilliant 2 night stay. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast was cooked fresh and extremely good value. Set in a stunning location with 3 lakes, you wouldn't know that you were so close to 2 industrial towns.

Friendly, Well Run, Craft Beer Bar. My Wife and I Called in for a couple last Saturday and ended up staying all afternoon. The welcome is friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed, there are always at least 8 craft beers on tap. This is a Gem of a place!

Bad customer service Rude staff

Had a lovely experience in the cafe today , I have visited there a few times and this one was the best by far. The two young girls Megan and Brook were full of smiles and politeness as they served me and my wife today. The coffee was amazing and despite the cafe being busy the service was very quick and enjoyable. I will continue to come here and recommend to friends and family.

Excellent food and service definitely better than the normal sit down food Really tasty and great variety I had the special and it was superb

I don't recognise any of the comments in the negative reviews. Always friendly and helpful, the food is exactly as described. Having tried all the cafes in Pontyclun and Talbot Green, I haven't found a better one.
