Had a brilliant 2 night stay. We felt so welcomed, the breakfast was cooked fresh and extremely good value. Set in a stunning location with 3 lakes, you wouldn't know that you were so close to 2 industrial towns.

Attended her for a baby shower. Lovely venue and the food was excellent. Good quality and quantity. I would love to know where they buy their bread as it was really delicious.

Very poor and extremely pricey (£140/night) accommodation given it’s the other side of the entrance from the parked cars. Room smelled of bleach. Breakfast charged separately. I thought there might be the usual cereals available but you had to pay extra for these! Really wish I had not stayed there.

Very good food and service from friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room but the setting was stunning and not far from Cardiff. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Stayed overnight and the room was lovely and clean with modern decor. Beautiful surroundings and very very quiet. Some of the best food we have ever tasted too. Highly recommended.

Booked here for mother's day only a week in advance, tried a few other places first but was unsuccessful. Checked a few reviews first which seemed mostly good, but for twenty pounds a head wasn't expecting a lot. Started by asking what red wines they had, after choosing a merlot was told yes that's a good one, it smells nice, really? Was sat near the window which was a nice view except for the two dead flies on the window sill that I mentioned and were scooped into the palm of the waitress, again, gobsmacked. On to the food, which had to be pre ordered, which upon arrival seemed odd as there must have only been five tables occupied out of 8.No pink in the beef my mother and I had, no choice either. Starters and dessert were ok. My main complaint was the lack of general front of house etiquette, which was epitomised by one waitress discussing quite loudly to another table how her son had been smoking a type of marijuana in her car etc etc, 10 out of 10 for sheer stupidity, never again!!!

We stayed at this pub/resteraunt in order to visit the Royal Mint. We chose it for its proximity to Llantrisant. We were given a very warm welcome and found our accommodation to be spotlessly clean and comfortable. There were the usual choices of cereal, fruit etc as well as a full English which was freshly cooked to order. The evening meals very tasty and quite generous portions. The service was prompt and perhaps a bit too quick. Empty plates were whisked away before we had both finished eating.

First of all we were told we could on order from a certain menu because of where we sat.... this wouldn't of been a problem if we weren't the only 4 people in the restaurant. when I ask for a large coke the old lady of a waitress asked me if I wanted diet and she pulled the most horrific face when I said no original please to then I was asked are you sure you don't want the diet one? By this I was absolutely applaud. I felt like leaving from this moment on. Apparently all the food is cooked from fresh but for fish and chips, 2 x carbonara and a pie and chips it took the whole of 6 minutes to arrive.... no way was it all fresh! The corbonara sauce was gritty and un edible, I'm not one to leave bad reviews but honestly am absolutely disgusted with the service and quality of food.

Do they want the business? No life there. Was thinking of booking a party there and the reaction was laid back.It seems like they don't really want business

I had salmon pancakes to start which were to die for and a steak as my main. Beautifully cooked, tasted fantastic and the prices were reasonable. There were 24 of us all together, we were accommodated well, our starters came out together and our main meals came out together. All in all top marks

I used to love this restaurant years ago, so persuaded my husband whilst visiting Pontypridd after living away for many years to have lunch here. An absolute disaster!! The Manager looked stressed and didn’t know where to sit us (or the couple in front of us) and eventually we were shown to the area upstairs. A number of people arrived after us, we chose to sit at one of the tables laid with a nice white tablecloth. Eventually the waitress arrived -but moved us to a bare table explaining that the table we were at was for “afternoon tea” only! We were finally asked for our order after other people had given theirs. The couple in front of us having almost the same non-existent service-then walked out. We gave our order for our first and main course together with a request for wine to accompany it. After half an hour the waitress having served other tables then finally brought our two glasses of water …and gave them to the next table! We asked if we could at least have our previously ordered glasses of wine whilst waiting…. Still Nothing arrived! We then reluctantly decided to follow our fellow diners example and leave which is what we did. Such a disappointment! We will never go there again!

This popped up so I posted a review about my feelings on the place which are valid but out of date. I used to really like your place so hope it is open again soon and back to how it was at the start.

Called here this morning for a quick coffee break whilst out walking (keeping our steps up) and just wanted to say we were served by the most lovely young man, I didn’t take his name but he was very tall with brown hair and a beard, he was really kind and so I wanted to leave a positive post for him, he deserves some recognition for being so helpful and pleasant.
