We had the pleasure of an evening booking for a tapas menu. The food was delicious, some tapas we had not experienced before and which were superb. Very generous portions.

🍝 That’s Amore! Italian Feasting at The Italian Job, Swansea When I tell you this Italian spot serves hearty, tasty, and oh-so-rich dishes, I’m not lying. This place is pure chef’s kiss perfection, with flavours that transport you straight to the heart of Italy. 🇮🇹 We had: 🍅 Mt Etna Arancini 🥓 Kingsway Carbonara 🧄 Cheesy Garlic Bread Loaf 🍝 Mini Godfather 🍅 The Mt Etna Arancini were perfectly crisp on the outside, with a molten, flavour-packed center that was pure indulgence. 🥓 The Kingsway Carbonara was a creamy, decadent masterpiece with just the right balance of smoky pancetta and rich sauce—comfort food at its finest. 🧄 The Cheesy Garlic Bread Loaf was soft, fluffy, and oozing with cheesy, garlicky goodness—an absolute dream. 🍝 The Mini Godfather, a smaller portion of their signature bolognese dish, was hearty, comforting, and packed with rich, slow-cooked flavour. Was very impressed when we walked in, nicely laid out, sat in booth area. Both of us decided on fish and chips Friday offer, we were given a mug of tea each, we were not offered a drinks menu we had to ask for that. Fish & chips arrived fairly quickly, very disappointed reminded me of the home brand frozen battered fish, tasteless and batter soft, chips were no better. We were looking forward to this, overall not impressed. We might come back and try again in future.

It was about my fifth trip to Vittorio's and I'll keep coming back, service is excellent even when it's packed. Food is extremely good - I've bought my Italian mother here and she agreed ;) I think it's excellent value for money having moved here a year ago from Cardiff you'd be hard pressed to find such quality in Cardiff at this price; starter, main, sides and dessert (and an extra dessert to take away!) and bottle of prosecco for two at £100. I can't wait for my next visit :)

This is a proper pub with a great landlord. The Guinness is spectacular he knows his cellar craft. So welcoming and warm spirited...

Went as a couple on valentines day, and when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant (and had a booking) however the waitress directed us to sit on a sofa before we could go to our table, this was just an indicator of how the night was going to go... I'll start with the positives, the food was hot and tasty, and there was a good selection of vegetarian options, I definitely suggest the paneer chilli masala! My vegetable vindaloo was not spicy at all however, which was disappointing. Not the best indian food I have ever eaten, but not the worst... Unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the positives. The service was slow and odd, to say the least. The waitress took our drinks order then proceeded to go and wrap cutlery instead of fetching the drinks, eventually they arrived, followed by our popadoms. Our dirty plates from the popadoms were left with us whilst we ate our starters. A long wait later our main courses arrived. Once we had nearly finished the main courses, the smoke alarm went off. No apologies from any of the staff, and no indication that it was going to be turned off. We asked for the bill, and the only other table asked for their food to takeaway, as there was no indication the deafening noise was going to end. We were then informed there was no card machine, so I had to sit listening to the smoke alarm for ten minutes whilst my partner found a cash point. A little advance warning if this would go a long way! As we walked round to the taxi rank we could still hear the alarm sounding. Overall a weird experience, made worse by the constant alarms and chirping from the bar area, and the deafening smoke alarm at the end! A lack of music in a completely empty restaurant makes for a very uncomfortable experience. If this hadnt been chosen and booked as a valentines treat by my partner I doubt I would have visited, and I cant say that I will visit again, as the food quality did not outweigh the issues listed above.
