I had previously booked a table for a group of 25 people for a leaving party. Arrived there 15mins ahead of booked time to find the building in darkness and a sign saying it was closed due to unforseen circumstances. I had no call, despite taking all contact detail at the time of booking. Sign left in the door by environmental health stated a NUMBER of things about RATS, in and around the food prep areas, food, drinks and their (rat) droppings. Diabolical customer services. Never mind cleanliness. Absolutely disgusting & then to find out the reasons are RATS! In their kitchen, cellar, bar, on their food and cooking utensils etc.

What a lovely place to visit for breakfast. Came for mothers day for breakfast and the staff were so accommodating. They went out of their way to cater for my ceoliac daughter and made us feel very welcome. Food and coffee were fantastic, top quality and great value. Thank you for making our visit such a great experience!

Die Bedienerin war sehr freundlich und hat sich Zeit genommen. Ich kann den Laden mit ruhigen Gewissen weiterempfehlen.

Came here to see the live bands at the sea shanty festival and I am happy to come back in the future.

We happened across this restaurant travelling from Abergavenny to Cardiff. The homemade bread served with a generous portion of tasty olives was delicious. My husband’s gamberoni with home made linguine and tomatoes was freshly prepared and tasty. My ragu di Bologna was piping hot and lovely with a liberal portion of Parmesan to top it off. We both enjoyed a coffee to finish. We paid just under £60 (including a gin & tonic) and felt this represented good value for money. The staff were friendly & efficient. We left wishing we lived much closer to this smashing restaurant!

Lovely afternoon tapas - so many dishes to choose from, it was hard to decide what to have, especially with the additional specials. The food was absolutely delicious and the cocktail's were stunning. Jim gave perfect attention to all of the customers and was so friendly, even though he was really busy. Definitely going back to try the bottomless brunch and can't wait.

Went as a couple on valentines day, and when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant (and had a booking) however the waitress directed us to sit on a sofa before we could go to our table, this was just an indicator of how the night was going to go... I'll start with the positives, the food was hot and tasty, and there was a good selection of vegetarian options, I definitely suggest the paneer chilli masala! My vegetable vindaloo was not spicy at all however, which was disappointing. Not the best indian food I have ever eaten, but not the worst... Unfortunately the negatives far outweighed the positives. The service was slow and odd, to say the least. The waitress took our drinks order then proceeded to go and wrap cutlery instead of fetching the drinks, eventually they arrived, followed by our popadoms. Our dirty plates from the popadoms were left with us whilst we ate our starters. A long wait later our main courses arrived. Once we had nearly finished the main courses, the smoke alarm went off. No apologies from any of the staff, and no indication that it was going to be turned off. We asked for the bill, and the only other table asked for their food to takeaway, as there was no indication the deafening noise was going to end. We were then informed there was no card machine, so I had to sit listening to the smoke alarm for ten minutes whilst my partner found a cash point. A little advance warning if this would go a long way! As we walked round to the taxi rank we could still hear the alarm sounding. Overall a weird experience, made worse by the constant alarms and chirping from the bar area, and the deafening smoke alarm at the end! A lack of music in a completely empty restaurant makes for a very uncomfortable experience. If this hadnt been chosen and booked as a valentines treat by my partner I doubt I would have visited, and I cant say that I will visit again, as the food quality did not outweigh the issues listed above.

Ordered a meal off just eat from here . It took 2 hour to arrive when it eventually did it was awful. Stone cold, chips dry and inedible and looked like they had been recooked a few times. Ordered 8 popadoms and they were all smashed to bits. Ordered 2 chicken tikka madrases as well as being cold they were vinegary and had very little meat in them. Ordered a tandoori mixed grill , again it was cold , chicken was dry and tough it should have contained king prawns but there were none in it. Ordered a Keenan Naan which should be full of mince meat but there was just a tiny bit at on end of it. I tried to ring the restaurant about this but they had taken their phone off the hook. I’m extremely angry at the meal and am in the process of seeking a refund off just eat. Do not order from here
