What a fabulous restaurant. Great welcome and service was second to none. Host Fernando and his team could not have made you feel more welcome. Food was amazing. There were 16 of us and every meal was perfect could not recommend this place enough thank you Bev

Had Been to the Abergavenny restaurant a few times, so it was a must, to get to methyr as we live in the area. As Usual it was a high stranded. Quality very good and struggled to eat it all, so Portion size is not bad. We had starters as well. I had the chicken breast in the incredible rich sauce. With potatoes. Wife had calamari her favourite. That was also outstanding. Wife an ex chef and knows good from bad. This was Good and highly recommended.. Thanks to the staff. Certainly be back

Breakfast was a bit small Atmosphere was ruined by staff who were complaining about a man walking past with dogs Was out of place As the man was doing nothing wrong And could not defend himself Totally unprofessional from the staff would not recommend

Visited tonight with friends lovely food and didn’t take too long apart from one meal which had to be cancelled as everyone had eaten. As I was walking to purchase more drinks I heard from the counter kitchen staff/ chef shouting at other member of staff which can only be described as vile and highly unprofessional. I Also note that I was not the only customer that heard this as it was the talk of the restaurant. It really ruined my experience of the place and will not be returning. I understand kitchen work can be stressful but if you can’t stand the heat get out of the kitchen.

Came for afternoon tea once which I really liked, so thought I’d try lunch. I have to say all the soups tried had too much pepper and I’m sure chili flakes were used in all of them as well. But as usual all the cakes, bar the custard slice, were really nice. Friendly, helpful staff, will visit again.

The Drovers is a quintessential village pub with a fine history offering good quality meals and snacks plus a wide range of beers in a cosy and attractive environment. Landlady Cherryl offers a warm welcome and living in the village is a font of knowledge on local attractions
