Very good fish and chip shop. The fish was very good and crispy. The Chinese curry sauce was also nice. I was served in just a few minutes even though I was fifth in the queue.

Visit here a couple of times a week staff are always polite and friendly good great

Very good fish and chip shop. Clean, good selection and competitively priced. Quality fish. Don't know if the owners or management have changed but the quality mentioned in the first half of this review no longer exists. Been disappointed on three occasions now and will not be returning. Fish was predominantly batter and not the quality it was. Curry sauce containers have reduced in size and one batch was very salty. Think whoever is purchasing the products has changed.

Lovely food, good prices and friendly service. Definitely would recommend. Had to wait to get in as very busy and very popular.

Asked for bo salt & vinegar on my chips but when I got home and opened them there was salt & vinegar on them .My daughter could eat them so we threw them out. Thanks.

Bought food her on 18/05/23 and had jumbo sausages, chips and curry. the curry was lumpy and didn't taste very nice and through the night I had an upset stomach and my daughter spent the night being sick. Didn't want to post as have never had problem before.

This is by far the best chippy in Merthyr, if not Wales. The gravy is out of this world, as is the curry sauce and the fish. Came back again today, shop packed which is always a good sign. Staff are superb,still smiling even when really busy. Shame most customers were grumpy,staff were doing their best to serve everyone quickly,give them some slack. Will definitely be back regularly, thank you team webbers

There is no doubting that the food here is excellent if a bit expensive. However, where the business really falls down is the total lack of preparation for large numbers of customers! Chips are never ready, fish seem to be only cooked once ordered. This inevitably leads to long waiting times and a shop full of customers. There were 5 staff serving tonight and I still had a 20 minute wait from ordering. Excellent food, poor organisation hence only 3 stars. Pity. I thought to be fair I would visit twice more to see if long waiting times were a one off, unfortunately the wait for food was unacceptable with people coming in last and served first!

Absolutely the best chippie in Merthyr Tydfil. I've lived here 16 years and only recently found it. Such a large range of fish to be had. They just need to get in some Wallys (large chip shop gherkins)

Enjoyed the service for years but today was not a great experience. 3 customers who came in after us were served in minutes with similar orders to ours(ours taking 15+mins) and the staff didn’t seem like they were in a rush and were quite happy to talk between each other. The main concern for me was the miss calculation of one staff member where she overcharged us by £1.50. Our order was 2xlarge chips=£5.00, 1xlarge battered sausage=£1.50 and 2xsmall curries=£1.60. We were charged £9.60. Please make sure your staff can use the till correctly.

I give only three stars for my first experience of this very clean and smart fish bar for the simple reason of presentation. I ordered one scoop of chips, large sausage and mushy peas in a tray. When I opened it I found that the mushy peas had been thrown all over the chips. It looked like a dog's dinner and made it impossible to really enjoy. I cannot comment on the taste of the chips as every one was tainted with peas. The sausage I have to say was delicious. In future I hope that lessons will be learned and peas served to one side in a much more dignified manner. I will use this establishment again because I think that this was simply a case of poor training of serving staff and that it will be addressed.

Not nice at all the fish very greasy & not cooked through put me right off fish the chips were reheated & the service it terrible got to wait a good 20 min for bag chips no organisation at all sorry but that’s my opinion & am I titled to my opinion

When shop first open the fish and chips were excellent but gone down hill lately went there last Friday fish was greasy and chips we like cardboard. Had to put them in the bin.Staff are friendly and shop is spotless.
