Visited today, first thought was it was spacious, clean and tidy with well presented staff.
Drinks are expensive £6 odd for a pint of peroni, nearly £4 Pint of coke.
Starter garlic mushrooms small bowl, salty and watery not creamy with over toasted bread.
Lasagne again too watery with base made using tomato soup, not proper ragu certainly tasted like soup base!
Garlic pizza bread was nice and chips real cut but over cooked.
Unfortunately would not pay that price again for substandard Italian food.
Going on holiday tomorrow so had Sunday lunch at the Mountain Pleasant. A stuffing ball with Yorkshire pudding is an anathema to me but it worked! A delicious meal and such good value! Both my husband and I feel that our holiday has started well!
Lovely afternoon of drinks and great food. Excellent service (and photography skills!) from Alex Fisher - thank you for looking after us and making my friends birthday special :)

Wow popped in after going to resolved market. Will happily return for an evening meal. We had the breakfasts, portions were huge and service was quick.
We went for a meal with friends who had eaten here several times previously and rated it highly. The menu is quite small and no vegetarian options shown, although when asked there were two options available, veggie curry and cauliflower steak unfortunately neither of which appealed to me personally. I opted for the potato skins starter as a mains instead which was quite tasty but nothing I could wholeheartedly recommend. My meat eating companions chose off the chalkboard menu but were all left feeling slightly underwhelmed, cassoulet, gammon and chicken, none of which they raved about, in fact they were disappointed too as it wasn’t up to previous standards. The concept behind the pub was apparently to recapture the original Victorian feel but it just looked as if it badly needed updating. Staff were very helpful and friendly but without great food I couldn’t rate it any higher.
I’d heard of Colliery 19, but never got around to going there….until this evening, and we’re so glad we did. The food was wonderful and the staff so very attentive and totally customer focussed. It was lovely that some of the trainee chefs came to our table and asked for our opinion on the course they’d prepared. This just added to what was already a lovely experience. I think we’ll be going back, and soon.
This place is a real gem in the city centre. There’s a wide array of spices, germs and teas- so many it was hard to choose what to get. The lady who served me was very smiley and helpful so will definitely come back when next in the city.
Maravilloso pollo al curry y arroz en este agradable puesto en Cardiff Market. Comer en es un poco apretado al lado del puesto, pero vale la pena! A recomendar.
This place was recommended to us so we called in and have to say got to be the the best breakfast we've had 5 star and deserves every one gonna be our regular breakfast
I visited here for the first time this week for lunch and is was absolutely wonderful. We had a warm welcome and the food was delicious. There were plenty of veggie options and the prices were really reasonable. Will definitely be back soon and will be spreading the word around my office of this place. Thank you!

Hannah made a 4 tier wedding cake for 100 people for our wedding which tasted and looked amazing. The cake was decorated beautifully and each of the four flavours were delicious. Hannah was super friendly, professional and punctual. We also added on Welsh cake favours which went down great with our guests. I highly recommend Temptation Cakes, thanks again Hannah!
