Have eaten here a fee times and the food is always freshly cooked, plentiful, and reasonably priced. Highly recommended

The food was lovely. It actually looked like the pictures( could teach macdonalds a thing or 2 about making a burger look like tge pictures lol ) . The portions are huge and it was absolutely delicious.

Had a breakfast with my son. Really good. Well cooked, generous and good value for money. So good, my son asked to meet the chef! Also popped in for lunch with my Mum after a swim in the local pool. We ordered Subs, which were HUGE. Very tasty and filling. Table laden with biccies and choccies - "help yourself". Free refills of tea and coffee. Lovely, quirky interior, this place is a hidden marvel. Do try it!

My daughter and I went here after swimming in Splott Swimming Pool in the Hub Centre, we ordered a sub with chicken and salad, to say it was huge and hot it an understatement, it was wonderful and they only cost £4 each, the number of food offers is amazing, they do a carry out but only in this area ie Splott, Adamsdown and Tremorfa and near, if you ever in this area please check this out, clean tidy sitting area, with an offer of free biscuits and cake, also water available, which believe me you need after eating this chicken sub!!!

Excellent place to go food it is out of this world. customer service is like no other, very friendly place to go I would highly recommend this to everyone once you go there you wouldn’t want to go anywhere else 👏 👏

I recently visited with a friend to try there new mini feast, needless to say it was absolutely STUNNING, everything was cooked just right, the staff were really friendly, chatty, and welcoming,If your a big eater this is the place for you, if your not, take a friend to help you, you won’t be disappointed, I will 100% be going there again

This cafe has to make the best burgers, I ordered an Elvis burger with fries to be delivered and amazing delivery was bang on time very polite, food still hot very filling very satisfying will defo be eating in or ordering from luvly grub again amazing

This was my first trip to Luvly Grub and I will definitely be going again. The burgers were fantastic! The burger patty itself was full of flavour and a very generous size, salad was fresh and the whole burger had just the right amount of sauce. Very generous portion of fries (perfectly crispy) and my friend upgraded to the dirty pizza fries which I recommend if you want to indulge. The milkshakes were also very tasty. I can't fault the food, service or value for money and can't wait to visit Luvly Grub again; hopefully for a sit down meal next time as this review is for a takeaway meal.

this is our 2nd visit and boy was it as good as the first time. the burgers and chips are fresh tasty and very filling. the chips are crispy and very good. Much better quality than the big burger chains,

Great little place, tucked away on the edge of Splott. Efficient and friendly staff, spotlessly clean and quirkily decorated cafe, tempting and reasonably priced food and even a selection of desserts that includes puddings and waffles. A great place for family outings because the kids are sure to find something they like on the menu. For the grown-ups there's a more spicy Elvis burger, with peppers, caramelised onions, chilli sauce and garlic mayo, a Popeye burger which incorporates hash browns, egg and black pudding or, if you're trying to be healthy swop the burger for breaded chicken breast or an omlette and salad. Vegetarians are not left out in the cold though, there are veggie burgers, toasties, veggie all day breakfasts and veggie curry or chilli options. Macaroni cheese, with a whole host of add-ons, is one of their specialities and sounds delicious but I'll be heading back there soon but a Luvly burger with mushrooms, cheese, onion strings and burger sauce. They have recently started an evening menu for collection of delivery only but I'm not sure how far afield they deliver. It is also worth mentioning that on Christmas Day when we were relaxing with family or friends these lovely people were cooking for and feeding the homeless in Cardiff. So they really deserve success.

I found this cafe on here, and now it’s our regular Friday lunch treat. Food is lovely, comes out of the kitchen rather quickly, and the staff are very friendly. Would recommend!

Went for lunch with my daughter today. Fabulous burgers at an excellent price. You'd pay 3 times the price if bought in town centre. Amazing quality. Liked the freebie table with cup cakes mince pies and mini doughnuts witnessed a couple of local kids playing football in the park nearby and popping in for a cake. Nice touch. Will definitely be going again. Just take a look at this bad boy

This is my 3rd visit and it was another fantastic breakfast , not cheap bread or butter for my toast which annoys me else where , service is always friendly and on point , friends and family that I have visited with have sampled other stuff off menu and has been fab to with good presentation so in all lovely decent grub at wicked prices

My boyfriend and I went for breakfast this morning and ordered an American breakfast (pancakes, eggs, bacon and maple syrup) and a veggie breakfast - both were delicious and very good value for money.

Fantastic place to eat can't rate it high enough. Great service, warm welcoming staff and food to die for. Food quality was outstanding and burgers were the best I've ever had & I consider myself a burger connoisseur. Had a waffle dessert which was huge and gives certain other well known, over priced establishments a run for their money. Already planning a return visit for breakfast.

I visited after reading a review of the burgers in a blog and was not disappointed. This is probably the best value burger in Cardiff if not anywhere. The patty is homemade and tasty and the string onions fantastic. It game with fries and homemade coleslaw all for £6. The taste is equal to any of the gourmet burger places. The only things I could fault were it wasn't served on a plate, possibly my age and they close at 3pm.

Well we had relatives who stayed over in Cardiff for a couple of Days from Sheffield.we were going to the tremorfa indoor flea market in Splott. So we looked up a local Cafe we were not disappointed we had quirky named burger meals Elvis ,Arthur ,Rooney and Luvly grub burger. Fantastic the place was buzzing a little wait bit worth it

Having heard through Twitter that this was a place worth visiting we headed down for lunch. I opted for the Luvly burger which was enormous and impossible to eat the traditional way, the onion strings were incredible. Looking around at other people's orders, all the menu offerings were of the same quality and unbelievable value. The owner (Nipper) is really friendly and accommodating definitely worth a visit

Went with the family on the recommendation of my sis in law. We were really not expecting too much but will 100% be back there when we return to Cardiff

My sister recommended we come here for something to eat after the heavens opened in true Welsh style and we needed a cuppa and some food to warm us up. She's been here a few times, but as I no longer live in Cardiff, I'd not heard of it.

I've been to Luvly Grub 3 times now. Twice with friends and once, most recently, with my family.

A few good friends & I meet up at least once a month for breakfast and it's been hard to find a decent cafe that serve a good quality home cooked breakfast!

Went to Luvly Grub today with two work friends for birthday lunch and was not disappointed.

I will admit from the outside it just looks like a breakfast cafe and wasn't expecting a great fare on offer. The menu was a good selection of subs, salads and American food as well as the usual cafe selection. I ordered the Rooney burger that was a fresh made patty and pulled pork on top with coleslaw, this has to be one of the best burgers I've had. Also with this I chose dirty fries, they were not bad frozen chips but the sauce on them was killer. There was cheese, bacon, chipotle and garlic mayo. This combination worked a treat. Don't think this is a normal cafe and try this place out now.

Really great to see a business open up in a building that been closed for a while. Looked like a nice place, driving past, but finally got to pop in this weekend, to pick up some bacon baps to take out.

Went here for a fry up with the parents after a day of DIY - spotlessly clean, friendly staff, really reasonable and the food was great. Totally recommend - obviously putting the effort in with the local community as well.

Luvly grub does indeed serve luvly grub. Have visit twice in March and had a breakfast meal and the special burger. Great food and generous servings for bargain prices. Attracts a mix of local residents.

I ordered some food on Friday the 10th of march for myself and work colleagues i rang and ordered the food at 11.10 and told the gelteman on the phone that I would be there at 1.20, he took my order and said that there would be no problem, i was five minutes late getting there and when I arrived i was told that the order was not ready, now i told the young man behind the counter that I only have a half an hour for lunch he was very apologetic to me but when the guy came out of the kitchen at 1.50 with our order i had no apology from him i will not be using luvvy grub again because of the bad service i and my friends have had. This is the second time that this has happened to us.

I love this place such good value for money. . The food is always amazing and the staff can't do enough for u this is my favourite place in Splott to eat now the cafe is also so lovely and clean.. I. Highley recommend this cafe for all

Wow, this place exceeded my expectation, from food, customer service, atmosphere and the super staff. Went with my 2yr old girl, a heavily pregnant friend & her 4yrs old girl. As soon as we got in, staff where very patient, went the extra mile with a genuine smile on their faces. Free sweets worked a treat from us all, great size meal. As if they did not spoil us enough, got offered free lovely welsh cakes! Great value for money, free offroad car park spaces. Luvly Grub is a credit to Cardiff & Wales.

I had an omelette witch was as freshas it could possibly be and as for the coleslaw that was beautiful!

The inside of this cafe is amazing,kids will love it. The staff are happy and helpful, the cafe is spotless. Great selection of healthy food and free refill of tea, cooked breakfast with free range eggs and toast with really nice bread, can't fault this cafe

Warm, welcoming, clean and fast service. This is a burger bar/cafe with some nice touches you wouldn't expect in a greasy Spooner. Coffee is great and the kids loved their Oreo Milkshakes. Free mince pies and choccys were a lovely festive treat.., Thank you!

Fantastic breakfasts, friendly staff especially the man who brings your food what a guy always makes sure your happy. I've tried the Rooney burger which is a must very satisfying. They lady who takes your order is always smiling and happy. Even if u just want a coffee it's worth the visit as they are nice also. I've brought my family here for breakfast who enjoyed it along with the atmosphere. A lovely clean set up

Warm and friendly staff, very clean premises and food is of excellent quality and portions, would recommend that if you are in this area this is where you need to go if you fancy a nibble or a meal.
