Great coffee and customer service thanks to Charlie, who up-sold me to include a double cookie without me realising it.

Simply fantastic. We were looking for a nice cafe after visiting the National Museum. Here it is! Great coffee, everything easy. Bagels, sandwiches, pretzels, whatever your heart desires. You just sit and chill in the park. Card payment is possible, of course. I would recommend Brodies to anyone after visiting the museum. Also with families and or teenagers. There is something for everyone.

Really really good coffee & cakes

I was pleasantly surprised that a Google review was on-point for a change. Normally, I try these highly rated coffee places, to be left disappointed (maybe I identify as a coffee snob :) ). The first taste was up there with the best coffee I have tried, and will definitely be back at some point :). Highly recommend you visit.

Hidden gem on the outskirts of town

Service that was, friendly, professional and with a smile. There was 8 of us including kids and everything we brought was really tasty and hot. Decided to go here after museum and it was a really good choice.

You guys are awesome..i don't know who started the help our homeless neighbour scheme..but to turn up in the morning knowing other customers have already bought you a drink really helps restore some of your faith in people...staff have great life stories they share when its quiet, some of the staff are in a band...ask to see a vid =-)

I absolutely love Brodie's! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Whether you're having a bad day or a great day, you'll always leave with an extra spring in your step. The coffee is exceptional (top tier imo) and the sweet treats are delicious, with plenty of gluten-free and vegan options. If the weather's good, then taking a seat and watching the world go by in Gorsedd Gardens is one of my favourite things to do (though I don't get to do it enough!) They also have a scheme where you can pop a coffee on the board, which is then donated to those experiencing homelessness in the city. I've not seen anywhere else do similar in Cardiff and I think this speaks a lot for how community-focused and caring the team at Brodie's are. Well worth a visit on every level.

Had a delicious mocha and was kindly made a plain cheese toastie despite it not being on the menu (thank you) the cakes and cookies looked fab too so I will definitely be returning!

I was at the museum and decided to visit brodies as I'd seen so much about it on social media. Quite a wet day so thought the business would be appreciated! Sadly my humble pound coins were not accepted here - ended up going to greggs! Still saved myself a few quid and sat in the dry!

Woman who worked there made me leave for taking my own drink into the shop. I was planning on getting some food here and to do some work with my friend, however this woman was very rude to me and basically told me off in front of the whole shop and asked me to leave. Would not recommend.

On day trip to Cardiff i stopped by for acupof tea and welsh cake which i really enjoyed very much the service was good as well

I can't fully express how much I adore Brodies. The coffee is amazing, the staff are so nice, and the environment is lovely. The El Pecado NEVER fails to perk me up, and the Autumn latte is adorable.

I always love a visit to Brodies! It's such a lovely place tucked away in the gardens. On this visit it had been a long day and I was treated by someone to a vegan hot chocolate and a peanut butter flapjack. I had such a nice chat with the person serving and they really brightened my day just be being themselves and having a lovely chat! As always the hot chocolate and flapjack were delicious and were the perfect end to the day. My dad and I usually message each other when we visit Brodie's because it's one of our favourite places and as we've both grown up in Cardiff I love that we have this tradition and memory.

Nice coffee, nice cakes, nice people

I frequent Brodie’s at least 4 times a week at this point and I have not once been disappointed! For such a tiny place they offer more than most other coffee shops!! Come rain or shine the staff make the walk there worth it, the friendliest staff I’ve met! As someone who struggles with going places alone this is one place I feel so comfortable and at ease. If you aren’t going to Brodie’s what are you doing?

Unassuming from the outside, but they pour one of the best cups of coffee around, well worth a visit particularly on a sunny day when you can enjoy the scenery.

I absolutely love coming to Brodie's for a coffee at the cabin. The staff are incredible, quirky and the coffee is to die for. I literally get a coffee every day. The service and quality that Brodie's provides I think Cardiff should take a leaf out of their book on how to run a successful business. They know how to converse with people. Clearly Brodie's care about the right staff to go with their brand. Have my money. Have it all.

I’m not one to usually write reviews, but Brodies/Bricks deserves all the praise it can get! I visit on a weekly basis, all of the staff are beyond friendly and very knowledgeable! My partner and I have both spent whole afternoons working in Bricks and have agreed we’ve never been more productive. Would seriously recommend their coconut mocha and vegan lotus banana loaf!

So much love for Brodie's! Every staff member is so lovely to chat to, great coffee and the biscoff banana bread is my go to emergency snack! ☕♥️

Nicest outside coffee in cardiff

This place is a sweet spot, nearby the town centre, but with green views and magnificent architecture surrounding. The coffee is the best I've ever tasted, my partner and I have been coming back here for a few years and do not have a bad word to say. You will always get a friendly smile and a delicious selection of treats including a good variety of vegan options. Brodie is a warm guy and all Brodies staff have their own unique coffee talents. Could not recommend this place enough.

We visited Brodies coffee shop today and were extremely impressed with the excellent service. Both staff members were polite, friendly, easy going, and welcoming. The coffee and cruffins (croissant and muffin hybrid) were delicious (10/10). Lots of dairy and vegan options for all to enjoy. Would highly recommend and will definitely be visiting again soon! The most genuine and down to earth independent coffee place in the UK, The staff here are always pleasant, and the coffee is great.

Visited Cardiff for a weekend away. Found this great coffee shop whilst doing the typical touristy things. Located in lovely surroundings with very pleasant staff. Took the cup home to keep purely because my dog is also called Brodie !! Would definitely pay them a visit when we next come back, highly recommended.

Great place for lovely coffee City Hall area

This place fully saved me during the winter lockdown by giving me a reason to get out of the house every day, to interact with friendly familiar faces who make lovely coffees and cheer me up on bad days. Thank you Brodies! They also do a lovely scheme where you can pay for a coffee and they will give it to someone less fortunate. What a lovely ethical local business to support! My extra hot coffees got me through the winter and the lovely ice coffees are making my sunny days even better now! They even give treats to my dog! I always recommend this coffee stop to friends and family. If you haven't been yet, you must check it out! :)

This little coffee shop has kept me and my family going through lockdown with not only the absolutely amazing coffee and cakes, but also their great spirit and humour. Love this little coffee shop and have lost count of how many times I have visited by now. (Their toasties are also pretty delish!)

Best coffee in Cardiff without a doubt (and I’ve lived there for 7 years). Mr Brodie and his team always deliver tasty coffee with great chat and genuinely care about you and your day. Best baked treats too and always something different to try!

Love this little coffee hut, great coffee with even better service :) always happy to make your drink how you like it and a free warm milk for the little one. The selection of flapjacks and brownies is outstanding, cherry and pistachio today and it tastes like magic!
