A hidden gem, a well kempt secret, under the radar... Call it what you will, this place serves some of the best coffee in Wales. A flat white and a chat with Rob is a fine way to start your day.

Did the barista experience with Laura today. What a fantastic experience with a really knowledgeable barista. The cafe is great, a really laid-back, quirky place to sit and chill out with a coffee, followed by some hands on training and I feel that I actually know what I'm doing with my espresso machine now! Had the opportunity to learn what goes into making a perfect espresso and then how to use that to make a great flat white and cappuccino. I would thoroughly recommend this to any coffee drinker

Ubicado en medio de una fila de garajes y talleres, este café está ubicado en el lugar más improbable y nos tomamos un tiempo para encontrarlo. Pero nos alegramos de haberlo hecho. Los lattes y los blancos planos eran suaves y de gran sabor. El barista se encargó de preparar cada taza con cuidado y el servicio fue impecable.

Mi compañero y yo decidimos probar este curso de café para perfeccionar nuestras habilidades con el café. Pensamos que estábamos muy cerca de hacer un buen café de la manera correcta, pero ¡estábamos equivocados! Nos recibió un brillante barista llamado Beth, quien nos mostró todo, desde pesar y medir el tiempo de su café hasta la leche al vapor, ¡así que es perfecto para hacer deliciosos lattes! (No podíamos creer lo técnico que era todo) No podíamos creer cuánto aprendimos en las 2 horas que estuvimos allí. ¡Beth nunca nos apuró una vez y nos hizo sentir muy bienvenidos! Definitivamente recomendaría este curso de mini catadores a cualquier persona que quiera mejorar y obtener un tiro perfecto de espresso. ¡También asegúrate de probar los mini macarrones!

Recomiendo encarecidamente el curso de Barista, pasé un par de horas divertidas con Ash, quien fue muy informativo, alentador y ciertamente sabe lo que hace. Una gran experiencia, y el café es delicioso! !

Mi novia y yo hicimos un 1. 5 horas de experiencia de café barista con dom. Lo reservamos a través de la aplicación Wriggle, pero creo que puedes reservarlo directamente con Little Man Coffee. Aprendimos mucho en una hora y media sobre cómo preparar un buen espresso: cómo manipular correctamente, pesar el café y hacer un tiro. Cómo el procesamiento de los frijoles puede afectar el sabor y cómo debe adaptar su café expreso en consecuencia.  También dedicamos una buena cantidad de tiempo a aprender cómo hacer leche en microfilm para hacer nuestros propios blancos planos y practicar nuestro arte latte. Todavía necesito mucha práctica y, obviamente, hay mucho que aprender más, pero realmente hicimos mucho en un corto espacio de tiempo y todo lo que hemos podido quitar y practicar en nuestra máquina de café espresso. ¡Los cafés que hacemos en casa ya saben 100 veces mejor! Dom fue un gran maestro; respondió a todas nuestras preguntas, explicó las cosas de manera muy clara y rápidamente aprendió lo que nos gustaba del café y lo que queríamos aprender y adaptó nuestra experiencia en consecuencia. Para 30 para nosotros dos (fue 2: 1 proporción de alumnos por maestro) ¡fue un valor increíble! Muy recomendable si quieres aprender más sobre el café y, lo que es más importante, empezar a preparar un excelente café en casa:)

Very unusual, old garage place. Nice for spending a time a bit outside (but still close) of the downtown. Really recommend.

The Little Man Garage really is one of the hidden gems of Cardiff's cafe scene. There is so much more than meets the eye to the place, as the sparse entrance in a back lane leads to a quirky coffee station with an upstairs lounge which is great; a log burner and a relaxed vibe compliment the great coffees. We did the 'barista experience' and found it a brilliantly fun, informative and, ultimately, enjoyable way to learn about coffee and try your hand at something which is harder than it looks! Ash was a fantastic host for this; highly knowledgeable and extremely personable, so able to handle any questions without making you feel stupid for asking even the most simple query. It's an all-round winner and worth making a trip slightly out of town for. Highly recommended all round.

Great coffee in an unexpected location.

If you're looking for excellent coffee with interior that is stripped back and chilled this is absolutely the place to go!

We went to the Little Man Garage for their barista experience. Such a fab find! When we arrived we were made a coffee each to enjoy by the log burner in their cosy area upstairs, followed by several hours spent learning how to make the perfect espresso and steam milk like a pro. Ash was really helpful and patient. I’d definitely recommend this informal and relaxed session to anyone who wants to know a bit more about the art of making good coffee!

Great place to grab a coffee to go on the way to town or have a little sit down upstairs next to the fire. It's also a really decent place to work with £7 coffee for the day ✌🏻 Will be even better when they start serving food...

Great coffee, fab little place off the beaten track. Owner was really friendly, and they stock Oatly which is a big plus! Will be popping in again next time I'm coming through Cardiff.

I love this quirky little place! The stairs are v steep, but once you're upstairs it's a gorgeous cosy space with a wood stove and a view of the trains going past. The coffee is lovely and they have some nice cakes. Plus the all day coffee deal is amazing!

El lugar no es su cafetería tradicional, le dan la bienvenida las paredes blancas de ladrillo lavado, un tuk tuk, sin asientos, bicicletas colgando de la pared y una cosa estilo "cafetería" frente a usted. ¡El barista estaba realmente helado y parecía conocer realmente su café! Luego le pides un café y subes las escaleras para encontrar una pintoresca zona de estar con mesas, Wi-Fi y una frívola chimenea. El café en realidad era bueno, ¡no había blancos planos quemados!

The perfect place to chat an afternoon away with friends and family, with the added bonus of fabulous coffee and friendly, efficient, informative service. An unexpected pleasure just 5 mins from the station.

A little gem a short walk from central station. The coffee is amazing and the brownies delicious. Lovely comfy chairs by the fire for the winter or cute courtyard type area out the back for some sun.
