Second visit in as many weeks, this time for a Marmara breakfast. What a wonderful meal for the two of us, a lovely selection of cheeses, meats, pastries, bread, olives, jam, honey and menem - eggs scrambled with peppers, tomatoes and onions.
Deliciously simple and very moreish meaning another visit is on the cards soon, not least for the wonderful family who run the place.
Highly recommended!
Oh I miss this place so much! Can’t wait for this dreadful situation to improve and for HSS to reopen its doors. I’m longing for the Social Smash and a Mrs C’s coffee!
Was looking for an early morning breakfast so went to the address, Sully’s is no longer in business, has been replaced by a kebab place which wasn’t opening until later that morning.
Looking for somewhere to grab a light bite, we came across this amazing little community run cafe/shop. Delicious light bites - cakes, tea cakes, even had a couple of gluten free options. Friendly and helpful servers and lovely and quiet
We have eaten here before, so I chose Callatis again for my birthday. Magdalena is an excellent hostess and her husband is a fabulous chef. Our 3 course meal was stunning and we eventually managed to waddle out with our full bellies!!!
I don’t eat out in restaurants or cafes, however this cafe was a exception on approach to the premises it was clean, inside it smelt clean and inviting. The food was outstanding the staff were polite and friendly and professional. Definitely going again with the rest of my family. Breakfast the best 10 out 10.
Fabulous beef with trimmings Baguette this morning
Coffee as always freshly made 100 percent flavour
All pastries and tarts hand made and delicious
Thank you as always

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience: the welcome, the dining room, the polite, friendly and helpful waiters, the three course lunch which was delightfully presented.
Everyone involved helped create a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere.
The "front of house" was excellent, he must be so proud of his students.
This place is just amazing. Lovely place, great food, great coffee, cakes to die for. This is how to do it!

We had a lovely time here. My daughter had a breakfast, and I had a huge toasted tea cake with a latte. Well run. The only criticism is that the butter was too hard, and I had to wait for it to soften . Well worth going 👏
Went for the Chinese buffet on Friday 2nd Feb, what a treat!
Even with a short staffed team the service was wonderful, you can see how the students are building their confidence and skills in both the kitchen and front of house.
Food was tasty, excellent value at £7.50 for 2 courses and overall had a really lovely lunch. Will be back 😄
Probably the most hygienic cafe I’ve ever visited!.
Very white, very fresh and VERY clean.
The warm husband-and-wife couple who run this petite venue are very friendly and like to get to know their regular customers.
Most customers seem to be buying well-packaged, quality fresh food to take away, although there are a few chairs and tables if one decides to sit in (the sandwich chiller is a tad noisy but not so much of a racket that one has to leave - or where earplugs!).
Although this is an easy-to-miss venue, nestling in a area full of apartments and offices, it does seem to be popular among local office workers etc (Mizzi opens at 7 am).
And, well, what a surprise! Mizzi has an excellent hygiene rating from the councils health FSA inspector.
