Thai Asian Delish in Cardiff

Wonderful chicken curry and rice at this friendly stall in Cardiff Market. Eating in is a bit cramped at the side of the stall but worth it! To be recommended.

My wife came home with a couple of dishes for us for tea last night. They were wonderful! Just enough spice to be nice and warming on a winter evening. We'll be back!

Short review. They know how good it is. Amazing value fresh Thai street food made with passion. Fantastic lunch for £7 plenty of choice well worth the wait. Tuck inn. Yumm. Thank you see you again soon.

Friendly lady serving, we had red curry with 1/2 chips and rice, when I saw her dishing up rice and chips I thought here we go no room for the curry!! How wrong was I. The bowl was filled to the brim with a delicious, authentic meal( bar the chips😂) and filled us both up nicely. If you are in Cardiff it’s a must.

Absolutely delicious Thai food from a stall in the market. Phad Thai is amazing as Is the Penang curry, next time in Cardiff I will be back to sample other dishes. I would highly recommend. A bit of a wait but I didn't mind as everything was cooked fresh in front of me.

This place sells beautiful authentic Thai food , I eat here often & the food is fresh & delicious. The staff are also lovely & very helpful 😊 .

Wonderful food! Between 5 of us we sampled a number of dishes all v pleased with our huge portions of very tasty food. Can’t recommend enough - best Thai food I have eaten for a long time. All felt full and happy for only £35!

This little Take away cafe located inside the market is an absolute Gem. The food is cooked fresh and is lively and vibrant. Amazing flavours plus the portion size is huge ! Only in Cardiff a few weeks and I've visited 3 times already. Probably the best Thai Street food I've had outside of Thailand!

Every single bite is wow!! Good is full of flavor and very tasty! We ordered the red Thai curry and the moo ping and both were great!

We visited Cardiff Market on a Monday afternoon and stopped by Thai Asian Delish. We ordered pad Thai, fried rice with chicken and sweet & sour chicken. The food is generally nice.

We headed into Cardiff Market to hide from the rain, and when we found that booth, we just had to give it a try. And what can I say? We liked it so much, that we returned the next couple of days.

I have visited Thailand on several occasions and travelled all over. Thai cuisine is by far my favourite and until visiting this little gem in the market I have struggled to find good Thai food in the UK. The ladies on this stall are always welcoming and serve top notch grub for a good price. I only found out this place existed recently and have already been 3 times and told everyone I know about it! Every dish I have tried has been delicious and they even provide takeaway. Can't recommend highly enough

I have visited Thailand a few times now and struggle to find somewhere that replicates the Thai food in an authentic manner. This place we found by chance and that's why after smelling the sweet smells from the store. It was definitely worth a gamble, the massaman curry and sticky rice was perfect, I tried this dish quite a few times across Thailand and it took me straight back there. It cost £5.80 with rice and/or chips. I don't think I could sum up how good it is in words you just have to try it for yourself.

We've eaten at this food stall many times and had good food, unfortunately things went sideways the last few times we've arrived after 2pm. Today we ordered chicken pad Thai, paid and sat waiting for our meal. Ten minutes later we were brought two bowls of chicken pad Thai with an apology that "they had no vegetables left, were we okay with this?" We said fine, but we wouldn't have ordered from them if they'd disclosed this at the start. (it's worth noting, there is a green grocers 50ft away) Sadly, this was a real disappointment.

Housed inside the Cardiff Central Market off St Mary Street near Cardiff Castle you will find the Thai Asian Delish. The market unfortunately has seen better days and the market entrance is large but dark and dreary. As you go through the large doors the Thai Asian Delish is on the left hand side. The first thing we noticed was the five star food hygiene rating which is always a great start!! We arrived at three o’clock in the afternoon and there were two young Asian girls already eating (which was a great sign) and another two diners. You place your order and pay on the one side then if you’re ‘eating in’ walk around the other side of this Market Stall where you will find a bar area with six stools where you can sit and eat. There are three Thai women busy preparing and cooking your meal. I noticed other reviewers commenting on the poor service but to be honest they were pleasant enough. Also the Red Thai chicken curry I ordered was delicious and probably one of the finest I’ve ever tasted being rich and coconut creamy with a good hit of chilli. My daughter was happy with her choice of a chicken noodle dish with an extra side portion of crispy spring rolls and I looked on in envy at the other diners food which looked amazing!! If you’re looking for a restaurant experience then this place isn’t for you but if you want fantastically authentic Thai food at sshhhhh ‘Bargain prices’ then you must try this place- we paid £16 for two mains a side and two bottles of water!! My other daughter was in work and is jealous we ate here without her so we are already planning a return trip on Saturday !! Enjoy

Amazing food, amazing value, great service. We had a prawn pad Thai and a prawn thom yum soup (with rice). Just perfect. Definitely one of the best places to eat in Cardiff. We will head back again soon.

I have eaten here a few times & it’s really tasty. Today I watched the ladies that run the place clean the place down before closing, they scrubbed everything clean & bushed the floor even under hard to reach places !

What a fined. Tucked away inside Cardiff market at the St Nary Street entrance this authentic Thai cooking is just amazing.

This stall smells amazing and tastes amazing. The green Thai curry is the best I’ve had outside of Thailand and is a massive portion! There are a few stools or you can take away. I loved it and I thought the staff were lovely! They did a little portion of sticky rice for my baby!

Does it pay to be polite? I'm not asking for Michelin-starred service, just simple decent minimal hospitality will do. If I'm nicely asking if I can takeaway the rest of my meal as I can't finish it, I don't expect to be glared at, murmured to, spoken about in the kitchen (loudly) then simply given a takeaway box to pack the food. If you weren't happy with me asking for me to take it away just say so. No need for melodramatic, I'm here for a meal not a theatre. Didn't know I signed up for How to Be Rude 101 when I ordered my padthai. Foods decent. Been coming here for years but lately service has just gone down the drain. Won't be coming back anytime soon.

I'm a regular there... I always go for pad thai but the curry also looks yummy.

You must have lunch here if your in town. Just like being in a Thai back street with the most tasty food. If you like Thai your like this. Trust me just go an try.

The stall is near the high street entrance of the market. I've had takeaway here several times since it opened. I usually order food, then do a little shopping at nearby stalls whilst it's being cooked.

Went here for lunch in Cardiff Market. Lots of choice. Quite busy. Good cooked to order and piping hot. The meals were delicious and definitely be back

Have lunch here pretty often. The Penang curry is superb but the staff are not overly efficient or friendly. Still good value and yummy food.

Taken here to eat by family that have eaten here once twice and regular and want to share the experience.All I can say is mmm wonderful must try.Its delicious authentic and great value for money.Street food at its best!

Me and my partner were looking for something under £10 to fill both of us up. We found this Gem just by following the scent and incredible smells. We ordered 2 Pad Thais and they were so so so so so so good! I've eaten thai in afew places across the UK and this was by far the most authentic i've eaten. Thank you for such brilliant food and on a budget as well! Wagamamas a pad thai would cost £12 for just one dish and doesn't even come close to what the ladies prepared us today inside cardiff market. Highly recommend to anybody. I will be back to try the entire menu!

Unexpected gem in Cardiff market. Visiting the city for university open day and in need of lunch. Food cooked fresh in front of you, served up at a bar which only seated six so need to be early! Exceptional street food, pad Thai with generous chunky prawns or chicken. Hope the offspring chooses Cardiff so we can visit again!

Fresh ingredients prepared right before your eyes. Taste like it should within a very atmospheric surrounding. Slowly working my way through the menu.

Just inside Cardiff Market is this little bute. Food cooked freshly for us and served in good portions. Great noodles with king prawns and brilliant chicken green curry. Very good prices.

Had the red Thai curry was lovely highly recommend and good value for money £5.60 for curry lots of chicken and rice

What an amazing place, and as a regular visitor to Thailand and a great lover of the food, it's exactly the same as being there I like the Isan dishes and have struggled to find larb moo, and it tastes just as fresh and delicious here as it is in Thailand. This is my new regular lunch spot.

Tiny place in Cardiff market, in the left aisle as you enter from St.Mary St. Food is excellent. Well balanced, nuanced, fresh flavours. Noodles were cooked perfectly; restrained chilli bite but lovely lime and tamarind freshness and perfumed, herby aftertaste.

I've been coming to Cardiff for year & I've seen this stand in Cardiff market sooo many times. The food has always looked fabulous& the little place is always busy .

Love this place. I've been here quite a few times and had various dishes and they are always lovely. Price is a bit steep though.

My wife is thai as soon as she seen this place it was a must for her she was very happy with the staff and the food was very very good we will be back again top stuff

Every time we go there food has been so great so far. Each time we go there we take pad Thai and Tomyum With prawn and they use quality big prawn. We have tried all the dish so far and all going great. Overall food is beyond the price. Rather than spending 5-6 quits in McDonald's or any other fast food restaurant I'd jump to this little shop For healthy Thai Food ..

A stall situated in Cardiff Indoor Market staffed by Thai women, providing tasty, freshly made food.

I eat here probably once every week or two, and usually get a pad thai (which they cook in front of you) or a red curry. For what it is, a small takeaway that offers a quick lunch, it's top class.

Feeling peckish while walking through the market. Haven't had Pad Thai for some time so gave it a whirl. How glad I am, service typical Thai, friendly and efficient and the food was better than any Thai restaurant I've been to in Wales! Can't recommend enough and will be back next week. Great value at £4.90 with loads of chicken made while you wait too, so could not be more fresh.
