Bubbleology in Cardiff

There was only one person attending to customers. She was friendly and great at her job. I got two bubble cocktails. One to have inside and another to go with. Both were delicious and affordable.

Watch out if buying tubs of boba brought two tubs firstly there was a mix up they sent two small tubs instead of large jars ordered this was sorted quickly with no issues but they then sent two jars with only a few days date left this is unfortunate because other experiences going to the store itself have been great my daughter loves it there

Food actually did not arrive at all, it's been 3 hours and they are now closed, frankly, I am disgusted. The customer service is terrible they don't even pick up the phone, and when they do, the hang up immediately after saying hello. Absolutely outrageous I can't even reach them and it's been hours since my order, nothing has arrived and it says its been delivered. This is appaling.

Super speedy service from polite staff. We got two delicious vanilla milk teas with lovely soft tapioca pearls and I would 100% recommend!

I recently had a disappointing experience at bubbleology that left me deeply troubled. Discrimination and rudeness should have no place in any establishment, and unfortunately, my visit to this particular bubble tea shop was marred by both. Upon entering the shop, I felt a palpable tension in the air. The employee Agata seemed indifferent and uninterested in serving us, which set an uncomfortable tone from the start. We weren’t greeted when we entered the establishment. In our case, I felt discriminated against as the staff appeared to treat me with less respect and attention compared to other patrons. It was evident that they were favoring certain customers based on their appearance or familiarity, which is absolutely unacceptable in any business. Moreover, the rudeness displayed by the employees was shocking. They not only ignored us but also responded dismissively. The dismissive attitude and condescending tone they used made us feel unwelcome and disrespected. Unfortunately, my experience with bubbleology shop left me and my group with a sour taste in our mouths, and I definitely am not returning.

This bubbleology is the best one I’ve ever been to, never had a bad experience here and the alcoholic drinks are always spot on 💕

The tea has no flavour, and the tapiocas are undercooked but left unsold for too long then they became soggy and sticky.

My friend wanted me to try an alcoholic drink that I could enjoy. I don't like alcohol, but am a big fan of bubble tea. The cashier helped finding something more likely to be liked by me and she was very nice doing it. My non-alcoholic bubble tea and the one with alcohol that my friend got were both tasty. Plus, they have Biscoff bubble tea, which was my first time seeing anywhere.

Really nice shakes. Quite pricey but they are tasty!

The first time I visited was the best bubble tea I had,very quiet inside (no people), and stuff was very slow and not friendly. Though give a second a chance, empty aera, stuff acted like just been distracted with them phone. Choose my order, can't have it take away, and choose a different only option medium for £6.99. You can get much nicer services in a different place. Highly recommended, don't waste your many in this place

A lot of options in the menu, Need to try em all😄. Calling all bubble tea lovers. If you're in cardiff visit this place asap. The ambience is amazing. This place is my best spot to chill. They have alcoholic bubble tea as well. The customer service is really good and quick. I'm really satisfied with the experience. The price is normal and not that expensive either. Try this place atleast once. I love this place and higly recommend to anyone. Thank you. Will visit again😁😋❤️.

Super good and amazing but not the best

Like this shop in general, friendly service instant drink making, nice decorations! And also tasty fruit tea and other drinks. But there is a quick reminder :I personally tried two times of their milk tea. if you used to have other great milk tea from any other brand like moo-boo,boba time, cupp etc, you might won’t stand with theirs. It’s watery like, weird tastes, just not great. It’s not only bad thing about them, I’m a big fan of the mango fruit tea, with any popping bubbles like lychee, passion fruit will be amazing!

Really nice range and super tasty but the tapioca has recently been hot in the ice drinks, which is an unpleasant combo. Absolutely love the staff and their friendliness and adaptability to vegan diets though

I went for a supreme size taro milk tea with default tapioca boba, no sweetness + no ice for £4.19. I visited at ~13:00 tuesday, and there was no queue, drink ready in under 2 minutes. There are 3 size options, with supreme being the largest - the cup is ~750ml and tapioca is included in the price. At £4.19, bubbleology beats nearby competitors like mooboo, boba time, and tealith in both size and price. The taste of the boba itself is quite good, distinct brown sugar caramel taste. The taro taste is very nice too, but the texture of the drink itself is a tiny tiny little bit grainy - easily fixed just by mixing for a little longer, and really not much of a problem anyways. overall highly recommend. cheaper than all nearby competitors, tastes just as good, very diverse menu. steve job approved

First time going to Bubbleology. Was recommended the raspberry tea with strawberry popping boba. My goodness, it was really tasty! Would go there again.

Super cute place, and the drinks are nice and refreshing.

Been wanting to come here for ages to see what bubble tea is like and it isn't like regular Hot tea like I had expected and the tea itself was nice with tapioca pearls in it. I decided to do things that got stolen away from me back in March 2020 when everything shut down and trying bubble tea was one of them. It was a change from regular English Hot tea! I would come back another time though.

I really loved the options. Ambience I love the ambience of the place. Very good for pictures. The only problem is the absence of a toilet. Location It is located at the heart of the Cardiff City centre, 5 minutes from the train station and 2 minutes to the nearest bus station. Services You can order from the shop and get it delivered through deliveroo Pricing It is averagely prices and really nice for a good treat.

Very delicious and delicate boba bubbles the wait is about 5-10 minutes but depending on which flavour you choose its definetly worth the wait

I love the bubble teas and they are a great hit with the little one... Nice selection of flavours for the drink and the bubbles, etc (only tried the popping bubbles so far). My personal favourite is mango tea with passion fruit popping bubbles - great combination. My only complaint is the the plastic tops are really hard to pop with the straw without the drink exploding out everywhere - my last attempt must have reached about 2 feet into the air, impressive but not very cost effective 😂

A lot of variety. Went 2 days in a row! Favourites mixes were chocolate & coconut, mango milk tea and taro & vanilla.

So delicious!! Had peach tea with double tapioca and lychee jelly. Yum. Did have to go around 20-30 miles in the car but it's okay as I wasn't near so that's to be expected. Also had passion fruit tea with single tapioca and mango jelly. Love, love, love it!!

A little disappointing,what boba shop doesn't have any boba,so fills your drink with a ton of tapioca balls

Absolutely loved the menu and to have found bubbleology ! The staff was friendly and toon the time to explain some of the special drinks they had . We also got the bubleology book that comes with a drink ticket 🎟 so we are looking forward to getting back there again and soon

I find this place absolutely amazing. The drinks are very nice. I am not a fan of milk tea but they haves huge range of wonderful fruit teas and fizzes to keep me coming 😂. I really recommend trying out Bubbleology.

DO NOT BUY we ordered a chocolate drink, and we were given chocolatey-water, it wasn’t even edible! we asked for a refund and nothing was done. Service is terrible!

I had my first taste of Bubble tea today and can happily say it exceeded all of my expectations. The menu is diverse and varied. They are quite pricey, but well worth an occasional splurge. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I tried the Utopia Mermaid bubble tea and found the explosion of flavours absolutely marvellous (particularly when the tapioca balls pop in your mouth!). Everyone should try bubble tea at least once!

Great service and kind employees, lots of bubble tea options, can be confusing to figure out what kind of bubble tea you want as a first timer, I felt safe in regards to Coronavirus, lovely environment.

Really nice customer service. Helpful and can give lots of details especially if its your first time trying a bubble Tea . Personally I liked the milky teas more than the fruity based ones as it just tasted like sweet water . But the milky ones are great and they do have a variety of milk choices .

Ordered Pink Pitaya through Uber Eats, which is advertised as "Fiercely Pink", and received a golden/yellow drink instead. My favourite bubble tea in Cardiff. I was served by Agata who is very hardworking and always serves the best drinks. 5 stars! Can't wait to return!

Awful experience today. I'm pregnant and was refused use of their restroom facility. I've not encountered that from any restaurant or shop this entire pregnancy, which has always been very appreciated and any other mother knows exactly what I mean. Had I known beforehand that they would tell me no, I would have chosen another place for a drink. Literally anywhere else as no other would deny a pregnant woman access to the toilets. The drinks were average, nowhere near nice enough to warrant another trip there.

I have been to many bubble tea places in Asia, and thought this would be at least good enough, similar to those. But I was wrong. This bubble tea place is nowhere near good. The texture of the bubbles is horrible. The overall taste of the tea isn’t even near to actual bubble tea. I’m really sorry to be blunt but I won’t buy from here again.

Favourite bubble tea chain. There are lots of options for drinks and there's one staff member who always gives BTS stickers and plays kpop in the shop. I also love the swinging chair seating area :)

Now if your into the Bubble Tea thing this place is immaculately clean and the staff are helpful and know there stuff. The drinks in the photos are Coffee with the cream top and Taro which was like drinking malt biscuits.

Definitely the worst boba store in cardiff. Weak selection of teas, which aren’t even very good! Incredibly whitewashed. It’s like having chips at a chinese takeaway. Taiwan would not be impressed with this level of bubble tea. To be honest, doesn’t even count as boba in my eyes.

It was great! It would be lovely if it's a lot closer/maybe in shopping centre and if there's more seating!

Great staff, especially great shout out to Nat, Val, and Magda, always helpful and fun. Design of the shop is great as well, really liked that industrial-scientific vibe. Drinks are cool, nice variety of flavours.

Me and my friend ordered two drinks as takeaway. The drink was powdery and not mixed well at all with literal lumps of powder throughout the drink.

3* is being generous, it was okayish I guess. Went here as a group and didn't like any one of the drinks. The "bubbles" were hard and had a hard, underdone texture and the flavours were underwhelming. It is well overpriced and you can get much better nearby which are cheaper and better value. The decor and location are great so it's a pity!

I had the lychee tea with boba here, it was very tasty!

Não conhecia o chá com bolhas e foi muito maravilhosa minha primeira experiência. Fiquei apaixonada e tomei sempre que vi uma loja dessas durante a viagem. Sugiro chá de Lichia com Bolhas ou pedacinhos de lichia. Fantástico (mas acho que deve ter muito açúcar)

Pretty good bubble tea but the rose milk really needs a stronger flavour to it. I drink bubble tea literally everywhere and it just find it a bit mild here. The melon milk tea is good 🙂

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusted with this place. The drinks are disgusting. The texture of the bubbles when they pop in your mouth is horrific. The entire experience is traumatic! Shocking they’d cater these drinks for little children as well. Truly awful. With kind regards consider removing this establishment for my lovely city. Cardiff is the heart of all drinks and cuisine, this doesn’t fit that equation and is a major defect. Tourists will become terrorists if they attend this place. (The staff are ight though)

Good bubble tea place with a lot of choice, but when I asked if they had other things that tapioca pearls, they said no, and when I moved to pay, I saw on another counter a presentation of all their alternatives to tapioca pearls. So either the waiter was new, either they didn't want to bother helping me. It's a bit expensive too for bubble tea

I go here almost every day, as I adore bubble tea and my office is literally about 4 doors down, and the tea, as well as the service is always amazing. I don't understand why there are so many reviews citing "unfriendly staff," since they're always really nice to me.

Bought a salted cream bubble tea in store today 30/04, nice drink and the matcha flavour is perfect. However, the staff were gossiping themselves without noticing customers coming in. This was the first time I purchased bubble tea here and no one asked me for the selection of ice and sugar level. The drink is terrific but the store is not well managed.

I’m a regular customer at this place, used to go everyday while working in town. So disappointed yesterday I called placed my order over the phone with a new girl named Hannah, told her what I wanted I go there to pick up my drinks she made the wrong drinks and when I questioned her about it she wouldn’t give me a clear answer!!! So disappointed!!! Really bad customer service!!! I won’t be going back again!!

Appalling behaviour by the two workers in there. Firstly made a horrible tea, then when politely asked to replace the tea, girl in there stated that they “don’t give out free drinks”! I explained that I didn’t want a free drink but a replacement as the drink made was not made to normal standard. This went on for a good 10 minutes of back and forth with the both of them laughing in my face and saying there’s nothing they could do to help only to suggest I buy a new drink! No manners. Poor customer service. Laughing in a clearly upset customers face. Never going again. Only after looking noticeably upset did they think of finally replacing the drink.

Ordered a chocolate bubble tea. Absolutely disgusting, super bitter, no sweetener added at all. I'm not one to leave a bad review but it was awful. Called the store and wouldn't offer a replacement or refund.

A unique cultural taste with a highly customisable, bubble tea experience. I have always found Bubbleology to be relatively expensive, even with various student discount deals. However, the experience never fails to disappoint the customer, therefore, I would recommend this venue to anyone looking to try bubble tea!

Amazingg! Definitely the best bubble tea shop around, the shop has good vibes and smells really nice.

Had plain Assam milk tea with boba. Little did I know that plain meant no sugar in the tea or the boba. The tea itself was fine. Can't really mess up milk tea even if it doesn't have sugar. The boba pearls tho... Never tastes tapioca pearls so bland... It's like they didn't even add sugar to them. Will be visiting in about a month to re-evaluate and see if they read this review and adjust their boba recipe.

surprisingly good! the jelly is a bit too hard so just stick with the boba and tapioca pearls despite their reccomendations.

Lovely experience here. Wide variety of non alcoholic drinks. Something for everyone and friendly/hard working staff and very clean place. Very popular with students. A nice place to chill out! Recommend it! :-) x

I just went today for second time and I asked for matcha with boba. The boba was disgusting once you have it in your mouth, and the matcha didn't have any sugar. It made me really sick until I threw up the bubbletea. I'm not going to go to bubbleology again. The staff was friendly and the place its nice but I got intoxicated for that drink.

Amazing Taro supreme bubble tea with lychee and tapioca bubbles - the taro is really strong and the lychee bubbles are so flavourful. The cafe has a great aesthetic (super cute). Also loved the swinging chairs at the back, we sat in them for quite a while and had a great time.

I 100% recomend bubbleology, really nice and friendly staff. Amazing bubble team and the place is lovely. I always reward my staff with one every week... it makes them work harder hahahahha.

I am a tourist had many bubble teas before, I visited Bubbleology in London but the one in Cardiff is super nice, drinks are delicious, staff super friendly, chatty and what is important helpful, if you have never tired the bubble tea before I recommend this place 100%!

Don't understand why this place isn't really popular yet in Cardiff! It's a great place to spend time with friends. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Thanks for a lovely time and good tea! 🤗
