An excellent choice.
Malaysian ran, nice portion sizes.
Good levels of meat in the dishes.
Crunchy vegetables.
Sauces great, not the salty/msg dishes you can find elsewhere.
Cash only, only disappointing note.
Ordered small haddock n chips, a small sausage n peas, not sure what fish it was plus far too much huge sausage, copious amounts of chips, most went in the bin

Food was ok, not bad, but one concerning practice that's off putting is the entire staff is not wearing haair nets and one after holding the broom went straight to making more pizzas which kill one appetite
Avoid this restaurant worst food i've ever experienced, stayed at the hotel for two nights due to attending a funeral at the hotel so obviously on checking in we wanted to eat dinner. I ordered Chicken Kiev with Caesar salad & fries my partner had Belly Pork both were inedible complained and was offered 10% off the bill. Breakfast wasn't much better very disappointing as hotel & staff were very nice. We ate out on our second night really don't know how this place gets 4*
Vile over price cheap food 🤮🤮🤮
Never again I thought I’d try it lots of people said it was nice ,,,,,
But the worst experience ever I never write a review but people need to know .😤😠
Excellent staff couldn’t do enough. Very thorough with nut allergy sufferer in our party. Ensuring food choice was completely nut free.
Quick service & advice re desserts
Looked at deserts, decided to get profiterole cheesecake. There was two cut slices left, ordered one and paid. I sat down at a table and a minute later the cheesecake came. The server muttered something along the lines of “sorry I forgot you ordered cheesecake” which I thought was odd.
Then I looked at the slice of cheesecake, it was half the size of the slices on display, a slither of one of the slices (so thin it was barely standing up on the plate). So after seeing the product and paying for it, the staff are then cutting the item in half. This is false advertising and deceptive of them. If customers are paying for one full slice of cake shown on display, they expect the receive the one full slice they paid for. I hope this was a one time mistake and not common practice
An excellent Sunday luncheon. A comfortable and pleasant hotel with a pleasant bar & dining room, open fires very warm & comforting on a cold day. A Duck parfait starter followed by. Sirloin of beef. Ideal spot for a late Sunday lunch. Beautifully presented and well deserving of 2 AA Rossettes.
