Fantastic Place! Great decor Immaculate all throughout. Friendly staff Fabulous pint of Guinness Welcoming atmosphere. Brilliant cob sandwiches!

Had a very nice non-game Saturday afternoon, sharing pints with some lovely locals Dave and his 96 year old dad Jack. They didn't mind answering WtW questions from us dumb Canadians, and encouraged us to get our pictures taken behind the bar. Good drink prices, and tasty burgers from the truck outside

Just like it is kn the show. The staff are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Most impressive of all is how accepting they are of the tourists that have inundated them since the show. Thank you Wayne for the photos with the boys.

First orf, lets clarify; 'Hotel' is a misnomer. But all good, Wayne is an absolute star. I got super excited, straight orf the bat & asked for a pic. He was super kind about it. I wasnt asking for a selfie, just permission. But he; "Not right now sweetie, let me organise the... (the wordage I don't remember crowds/people) but he had me at; "Sweetie".. Damn, I feel blessed. Thank you Wayne, you are an absolute star & a gentleman Sir...Back to the bar.. Super interesting. Flew in from Kansas & got to see an actual game. Cool as, way more exciting than seeing it on 'FX' or 'Hulu'... Especially since I'm actually Welsh, so seeing Wales on the telly in the US, has been super cool. It's also helped my American friends better understand, after years of explaining, that England is NOT Wales..lol Although, to be fair, I still have an English accent after 23 yrs in the US. Anyhoo. If you have an inkling to visit, the now infamous 'The Turf' do it!! Decent array of beers/drinkies, amazing prices, especially, especially after 2 days in Oxford at £7 a pint.SMDH... It's surprisingly a lot bigger than it looks on the telly. It really is a great pub. Wayne is a doll & most locals are super nice!! ... Enjoy...

One of the best pubs in Wrexham as always. Nothing has changed can't fault Wayne and the staff when you have got it right leave it alone.

Amazing staff, amazing genuine friendly customers, 2 pool tables, jukebox, great selection of drinks and food. It's my new local as they make me feel so welcome. Thank you Wayne, Paul, Richie, Rachel and all the team.... Loved my wxm wicked cocktail last night xxxx

Visited for a quick pint which was one of the cheapest pints of Guinness I had in ages (and also of excellent quality). Despite the fact that this place is now famous and attracts tourists they didn't hike the prices up and remained true to their roots. Bravo to that!

Had a lovely visit to Wrexham football ground. Loved you could buy food outside and take it inside the turf to eat it along with a pint. Everyone was so welcoming the Turf was lovely and clean and inviting.

Great visit had drinks only but a friendly pub.

Clean, well kept establishment. Staff friendly and welcoming. Well behaved dogs welcome. Food was delicious, I'd reccommend the lamb burger.

Been touring Europe for 3 months now. Best beer so far at The Turf Pub. Gotta love the connection to the Football club as well.

The Turf Hotel in front of Wrexham Stadium is known from the series "Welcome to Wrexham". The pub offers some photo corners and fan corners, which is particularly interesting for fans. Some souvenirs are also sold. Unfortunately, payment is only possible in cash, which can be a bit inconvenient.

Having watched the documentary. We couldn't not come in. The barman was absolutely brilliant. Really welcoming to all and made sure he spoke to all. Great place with a good atmosphere. Would recommend a visit if you're in the area

Stopped off for drinks and sat outside on the benches to enjoy the lovely weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Will deffo come back at some point x

As an international fan it was a completely underwhelming experience. We were mostly ignored by the staff and locals who all knew each other and didn’t seem to want to bother with us to the point we felt uncomfortable and left after 1 beer. We figured they could at least have a guest book or board for all the international fans. Food truck was also not set up so there were only sandwiches at the bar. Bar itself was a fantastic fan bar with lots of Wrexham items and cool pictures so we very much enjoyed that. Went on to Liverpool where the connection to the football club was massive and people were talking to me about it with passion so it was odd how closed off Wrexham was.

As a football fan and the much media coverage of welcome to Wrexham decided to stop for a pint or 2 while visiting Wrexham. Been here before back in 2007 and the atmosphere was buzzing on both occasions.

We visited the turf today and the first thing ai noticed was the clean decor. It looked newly refurbished and was really well decorated. The atmosphere was very chilled 👌

Fun place! Came here while I was staying in Manchester over a weekend. Had a great time. Ate at the food truck outside, had a number of pints, and talked to a bunch of locals. Loved it — would be back next time I’m over here.

Such a friendly place - locals greeted us with handshakes as soon as we came in and were very welcoming. Chatted and joked around with our kids. Bar staff very friendly. Overall the best vibe in any pub in the UK we've been to. Great night out. What lovely people.

We are traveling from Germany to watch a Wrexham AFC game. Have been here 5 times. What we experienced today was the very last. We have never been treated so unkindly anywhere in the world. An "employee" kicked us and 10 other guests out and our drinks were at the bar. Please never go to the Turf!! NEVER GO INTO THE TURF! You are treated so unkindly. There are super nice and friendly pubs in Wrexham. Please go there, it's more worth it. It's super nice in the city and the employees aren't that aloof... it's a shame that they can't stand the "fame" here... Visited after the Crewe away game. The place was electric and bouncing. Makes you proud to be from Wrexham, and on a weird note, Rob Mchelleney Dad was there who looked exactly like his son but older, haha

International Wrexham fan so this pub was a must see. It is exactly as you would imagine! We definitely stuck out, as chubby Mexican Americans do 😂, but everyone was super friendly. I don't usually drink beer so was happy they had a wine option. We arrived about an hour before the game started and we were able to walk right into a crowded bar. As we left there was a line of people waiting to get in.

Where does one go after a late breakfast butty? The Turf! Great people, good atmosphere and a Guinness. We travelled far and were not disappointed by the team. Great Crispy tuna sandwich for the road was very good also. Thanks for a great experience!

Great food, great beer, and friendly staff. Got to meet Wayne Jones in the coffee stand. He was very friendly even though it must be difficult to be world famous. He was very polite and humble about it, which made the experience even better.

The Turf is an awesome local pub right next to the Racecourse grounds. Naturally, as an international tourist this is exactly the spot I wanted to visit and it didn't disappoint. While hanging around with friends, the locals were very happy to just come up and talk to us about our travels. The Turf offers drink only, but often has a food truck located outside. I would highly recommend it.

Met the owner. The place is just like one the show. The people are wonderful. The owner, Wayne is awesome. If you're coming to Wrexham this is a must.

Fantastic family run business, friendly staff and great customers. Recently been refurbished, very clean toilets, and brilliant disability access. Massive range of booze to choose from, great collection of gins. And with the burger van outside with a variety of hot foods you can sit on the decking and enjoy your pint with a burger 😊. Also a large seating area at the back where you can enjoy a cigarette.

By far the best thing we did in all of 2023 traveling 4560 miles just to hand out with the people who show the world what loyalty and pride truly is. Great place to stop over for a pint when you're waiting for a train! Plenty of good beer selection plus so much things connected to two famous Wrexham AFC owners! A group of us travelled from Scotland to the Turf on my 60th birthday (New Year’s Day) to celebrate and enjoy the atmosphere. Everyone was so welcoming to us and I really felt like it was all about me!👍🏻 Wayne greeted me on arrival and my family thought that was a great touch. I can’t remember how many times I was wished Happy Birthday 🎈. To top it all off. They got me a ticket to go and watch the game ⚽️⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 How special is that? I had a great day, a wonderful birthday 🎂 made better by everyone associated with and at the Turf. Thank you 🙏👍🏻⚽️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

My m8 is a dentist is in Wrexham decided to have a swift one in turf on way home as saw it on this is Wrexham. Forgot it was last Friday before Xmas(mad friday) it was heaving but a joyfull happy atmosphere. Will deffo visit on a quieter day

Nice pub but pity about the patrons - too many Wrexham fans. Would have been much better with more Newport County fans

Visited this place simply through watching the Wrexham series on the telly. As soon as we went in, we were welcomed by the landlord and invited to sit with him and his guests. Superb. Stories and jokes were told whilst we were in their company, and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. If you're thinking of going in for a swift one but are unsure, I urge you to do so. Great place with the friendliest people I've met in a long while. We WILL be back.

Everyone is very kind. We flew in from the US to see a Wrexham game and it was cancelled due to weather. But everyone we met at the Turf was exceptionally kind! If they had did there I would never leave!!

As most others we visited this place after watching the Wrexham documentary.Unfortunately they were away to Accrington Stanley that day,, "Accrington Stanley who are They? Exactly" Lol. Great pub great atmosphere and choice of drink, deffo worth a visit again.

An iconic place with lots of history, fantastic and friendly staff. Stopped by the club shop and bought some gifts and had to have a few drinks in The Turf! It wasn’t a match day so it wasn’t packed but fairly busy. The burgers from the burger van were really good. We definitely want to come back on a match day. Very clean. Comfortable seating. Several big screen TVs and a couple pool tables. Good drink selection too.

Such a lovely small pub right next to the Stadium. We went on a Sunday night and it was chill and the staff we’re lovely.

Good for a pint. A Wrexham FC fan favourite as seen in Welcome to Wrexham lots of the usual Deadpool paraphernalia etc. Staff were friendly and theres 2 pool tables with an outside seating area. Didnt have any food so cant comment. Good on them for doing well given whats happened historically in the area which was similarly depressed as where im from. Gets a lot of through visits from tourists now.

Had a pint before the match. Although it was super packed, was able to get prompt service.

A great place to go for a pint before the Wrexham game. A Good pint of Guinness and good value. They also sell Shipyard Ale from Maine, USA.

I didn't have anything to eat but there is food available and I'm told it's excellent. The pub is very popular now due to the tv programme but retains its local feel as well.

Great atmosphere, made very welcome

The atmosphere of the premises was probably the best I've ever witnessed tourist from America are regularly at the turf to visit and soaking in the atmosphere of the Wrexham pub. I was passing through as I was waiting for my next lecture and have visited as a fan in the past however it can get overcrowded during match days which can be hard being served although there is an outdoor area which I am sure compensate that. Very well recommended to visit as I am sure many have and will.
