We love this Cold Stone location—especially the peanut butter ice cream, which is always rich and delicious. The staff is quick and efficient, even when there's a line. It’s our favorite treat spot for a sweet fix. Never disappoints.
Plants healthy, all the Christmas tat you could hope for, cafe large, too large for the one person on the till & serving, excellent mega breakfast and the grimmest cafe toilets I’ve encountered for a long time
Placed an order on line for delivery, after 45 minutes no confirmation and no payment taken. I reordered as was waiting and was hungry, no confirmation yet again, so investigated more, to find out they were shut, so why take the order ?????

Food is fine staff are friendly I did go often but today I watch him handling uncooked food then building the burgers but the thing that finished it for me was when he licked his fingers to open the bag. Simple hygiene not followed.what happens around the back then
Our family group of 4 had the BEST pizzas EVER (way way better than other more famous express chains). Fantastic mozarella garlic bread starters too. Excellent customer service - our lovely group leader wanted her fried egg (on the Fiorentina pizza) cooked in a very specific way, and the lady waiting our table (and the chef) duly obliged, with patience and a delightful sense of humour too. The food was hot, pizza toppings were fresher than fresh, and the customer service was faultless. Next time we're back in Bangor we will definitely come here again!!! Another reviewer called this place a "hidden gem" and that description is 100% spot-on!! We left a little heavier than when we entered but we were a very very happy group!!
Disgusting wouldn't give it my dog. Looks so is dirty where you wait so wouldn't like to see the kitchen. Ordered special fried rice, chips, and a special sharer box was all cold the rice was brown and well over cooked the meat was in some sort of gravy ribs were dry the prawn toast was thick in grease totally disgusting how people can serve such dog food and charge so much money and get away with it. It shut down
Stayed there several times. Staff always very helpful and accommodating
This was in the 1950s when it was called the Marina Hotel.
Judging by the reviews it seems to have gone downhill a bit since then
This review is dated December 2023 - that's not correct - but there were no earlier options
Here are the facts and not opinions:
I entered the Greggs to get myself a lunch and asked politely for a sausage roll. As the sausage roll was being wrapped, I kindly asked for some ketchup to go with it. The manager (Wendy) stated that they do not do ketchup or sachets as they worry about food allergies😳 and for context, I must stress that there was no queue at all.
I paused for a while as I paid, I then asked her to state that if they had any ketchup at all behind the counter. Her response was they do but it is only for bacon sandwiches.
I then stated that other Greggs in the local area have never taken this course of action. Her response was “Well we are not other Greggs!”
Senior management needs to get on to this kind of attitude and lack of quality service as it is not a great look for any business, especially when this is the standard coming from a manager.
The standard of service is getting so poor in general it must be called out.
On the menu they had full English breakfast but I got to the till they said they stop serving breakfast at 2 pm so why do they have it on the menu then if they stop serving the all day breakfast at 2 pm I will not be eating here again !!!
We’ve been here a number of times over the years when visiting the area. Value and service is always excellent. Unfortunately the quality of the food has deteriorated. Why replace decent fry chips with rubbery skin on oven chip? That’s guaranteed to ruin ham egg and chips. Overall a bit disappointed this time. Would have given 5* in the past.
Reading some of the negative reviews on here, I was left wondering if there were some other Bryn Glo Tearooms in the area that we didnt know about? Been here loads of times over the years the family have been operating - often with my brood of feral kids (and later, feral grandkids), and the family who run this business have always made us very welcome; we visit Snowdonia a lot, as we live on the Wirral, and we always get a great feed and great service here, at reasonable prices for this area. The woman who appears to run the place only seems to be terse to those born with no sense of humour. I couldnt visit any part of North Wales without making an excuse to call here, and the pizzas, cooked outside in a wood fired oven, are absolutely fantastic. A great place to sit, relax, and eat some good food, and the proprietor's family are refreshingly down to earth and remember you when you revisit. My go-to cafe when camping at Dolgam (which we do often), everyone should visit them and decide for yourself. You wont be disappointed, five stars all day long xx
Overpriced and not great quality.
We went to try the takeaway for the first time and although we saw the prices were more expensive than other local takeaways we thought it would be better quality.
We were very much mistaken.
Not good value at all for the price - items were low on meat and the quality was not good.
We will not go back.
unmelted cheese on cheesy chips no pie and no gravy (how can you have no gravy) only upgraded to a two star because of the nice curry otherwise I am not impressed
