Our family group of 4 had the BEST pizzas EVER (way way better than other more famous express chains). Fantastic mozarella garlic bread starters too. Excellent customer service - our lovely group leader wanted her fried egg (on the Fiorentina pizza) cooked in a very specific way, and the lady waiting our table (and the chef) duly obliged, with patience and a delightful sense of humour too. The food was hot, pizza toppings were fresher than fresh, and the customer service was faultless. Next time we're back in Bangor we will definitely come here again!!! Another reviewer called this place a "hidden gem" and that description is 100% spot-on!! We left a little heavier than when we entered but we were a very very happy group!!

We had an excellent lunch here. As I am Coeliac I have to say the gluten free options were plentiful. The food was well cooked and nicely presented. We both chose omelette. The food had obviously been freshly cooked. The young lady who served us was a delight and a credit to the restaurant. She was friendly, polite and a fount of knowledge on the local attractions as well as the GF side of eating out. Thanks.

Gluten free margherita pizza was freshly made which took some time, but we were warned that the dough was being made fresh, and it was excellent. Gluten free spaghetti was cooked superbly, the homemade meatballs tasted great but the tomato sauce was good but consistency was a little thin. Gluten free raspberry and almond cake (as a take-out) was fairly good but a little heavy and not as good as it looked. The pizza is worth the visit as it tasted very close to a great Italian pizza made from normal flour.

AVOID THIS PLACE! Overpriced, small portions with waiting times that ruined our day. Wouldn't recommend and won't be going there again. We turned up for a quick bite to eat before going to a show in Pontio. The place was quiet with only a couple of tables with customers. We ordered 4 soft drinks and one coffee, 3 toasties, a lasagne and a pasta dish. 40mins later our drinks were brought over and we asked if the food would be much longer as it was getting close to the time of the show. We were told it won't be much longer. We waited ten more minutes and still nothing so we asked if they had takeaway boxes so we could take our food with us so as not to miss the show, we were told our food was "literally coming out now". Another five minutes passed and our food was served, plated and not in takeaway boxes like we requested. We had no time to eat it as they had taken so long to make what was 3 basic toasties and a bit of pasta. The lasagne was laughable...a tiny child's size portion in a massive oversized bowl for £13!! the toasties were £12 each and came with a thimble of coleslaw and a couple of chips. Ridiculous pricing for a 2 triangle toastie consisting of 2 slices of bread. So to summarize we were robbed to the tune of £77 and left hungry and had to leave half our food to get to the show they'd made us late for and missed the start of. When we raised the matter of the wait times and poor service as we were paying and leaving we weren't offered any takeaway boxes to take our remaining food with us and we're only given a half hearted appology. We chose this place because my partner used to go often, the food used to be well worth the money and didn't take all day to visit! Very disappointed to find it's gone downhill. We will definitely not be going there again!

Popped in for brunch 15/07/2023 and it was busy when we arrived. We always call into here when in the Bangor area. Had the full Welsh breakfast and as usual Nick had cooked everything to perfection and the food was presented in a fine way, my wife had poached egg, beans and bacon on toast, again cannot be faulted, both breakfasts were washed down with a nice pot of tea. It is clear to see that Nick takes so much pride in all his cooking and Clare is the perfect host. They always make you feel very welcome and the cafe has a wonderful atmosphere . It is clearly a popular venue for local people and visitors alike whether you are on your own or as a group and dogs are also welcome. Extremely good value for money, you will not be disappointed. In our opinion you will not find a better breakfast in Bangor.

Our second visit in just over a week. This time, in addition to their traditional mince pies and the totally yummy frangipan topped mince pies this time they also had meringue topped mince pies. Resisted taking some home with me but will DEFINITELY get plenty for Christmas. I was really stressed when I arrived. I received the usual friendly warm welcome. By the time I had had my coffee and another frangipan topped mince piece, I left feeling so much better. This place really is an oasis of calm (and totally delicious home made goodies)!!

Reminisce about back in the day when you would visit a cafe with family or friends and you would have a whale of a time. well, this place has its interior stuck in the early 80s and their prices fast forward to post-inflation 2030's. extortionate prices for a very little amount of food. mediocre coffee and an owner who looks like he'd rather be anywhere else than where he was. the cafe was almost in darkness. no lights in the toilet and freezing cold. chain smoking customers sat right next to the open door so all their smoke comes in. won't be long before they're closing their doors if these standards are maintained.

I went in to the café with high hopes after seeing a sign for gelato milkshakes. I asked for a milkshake and was told to choose between a crusha milkshake and a gelato milkshake. I chose the gelato milkshake, taking it was the ‘thickshakes topped with fresh cream’ that was advertised on the board, costing £2.50. I was charged £3.95 and was told to wait for my milkshake. While waiting I looked at the board for any milkshake costing £3.95, there weren’t any. I watched the milkshake being made and saw that water was being used as a supplement, and no cream topped my milkshake. When I confronted the waitress about my confusion in price, she said that the boards were incorrect and that the gelato was made on the premises. I’m glad that the gelato is homemade and wouldn’t have had an issue paying the price if it was clearly and correctly advertised. I was left dissapointed and my concerns were quickly and rudely disregarded by the waitress.

Been here a couple of times through lack of other lunchtime cafes available rather than choice. Always felt it was over-priced for average food. Today I had a soup and sandwich combination. The soup was watery as anything. I'm assuming it was because it was the end of the lunch sitting and it was a way of stretching what was left. The bap with a bit of tuna dolloped in the middle was as enticing as bush tucker trial. I did mention the issue about the soup to the waitress (I only had a couple of spoon fulls) - I may as well had talked to the wall.I shall avoid this restaurant at all costs in future.

We've eaten here twice recently. The cafe itself looks much better from the outside, and could do with some serious modernising internally. First time we came for breakfast, neither of us were impressed and felt it was massively overpriced for poor quality, and small portions. On that visit I was however intrigued with the menu and the Italian dishes on offer & planned to return for lunch in hope of a better experience. Came back a few weeks later, we had a calzone and a burger. The calzone was nice, didn't taste all that fresh though, lots of dried mixed herbs and tinned tomatoes(?). The burger was most definitely not fresh, and tasted like a frozen Iceland product. It was all perfectly ok and edible, but most definitely not worth the prices we were charged.

Visited today with my 8 year old daughter whilst out shopping. Although I was a bit dubious of the shabby insides I thought I would put any feelings to one side as the menu looked lovely. My daughter ordered the children's menu Margarita pizza & I ordered "Freshly cooked chilli spaghetti with a salmon supreme". What arrived was a burnt (completely black underneath) pizza with not a homemade tomato base but some stale, tinny tasting one which my daughter refused to eat. I had the pleasure of a bowl of spaghetti mixed with a bit of ordinary sweet chilli sauce (that u may dip a spring roll in) and an completely dry salmon fillet plonked on top. Only nice things were the bottle of Sprite & Peroni. Although the waiting staff were really friendly, I just wanted one of them to ask if everything was ok. I think as they didn't, they already knew the answer. Watching the chef through the kitchen, he was more interested in his mobile phone than the quality of his food. Horrendous place. Don't go.

If cold coffee and poor customer service is what you're in to.. This is the place for you!Very hit and miss.. But I must admit, it's faults don't stop me going there, mainly due to the queues at Costa and Nero! I can only assume that this is how it survives?Food isn't great, it's okay, but nothing spectacular.Decor could do with an upgrade and and the layout of the counter can make it very squished when entering and leaving. It does the job if everywhere else is busy though.

For a starter, the layout is cramped and unappealing but being a local and having never sampled the 'delights' of Antoniazzi's I figured it was worth giving it a try.The place was busy, with about twelve people in with us. It was tight and cramped, and my boyfriend and I were placed right by the kitchen door, so were constantly having to shout to hear ourselves talk.I wasn't too hungry so asked for a portion of wedges and some garlic bread - this came to around £7, which is rather inflated for what it's worth, but I hoped it would suffice. My boyfriend ordered a burger. We waited, and waited, and waited. An hour had passed. By now I was expecting garlic bread and wedges of the highest calibre.FINALLY food arrived. In a tiny bowl were about six wedges. Six slug sized wedges and three slivers of Asda value garlic bread. I thought back to my mum's fortnightly iceland shop and realised I could of made these at home.Disappoiningly, one bite into the longly awaited garlic bread revealed undercooked tendencies.I asked the waitress to cook them for me a little longer, and as she walked off with my dirty napkin, she suddenly turned back and asked if I wanted my dirty napkin back! When my garlic bread arrived, the waitress walked over to another table who were still deciding. This is the actual conversation they had:Waitress - are you ready to order?Couple - no we are just looking at the menuWaitress - enjoyYes! Enjoy looking at the menu! Enjoy your dirty napkin. Clearly she appreciates the simple things in life. Was it worth the wait? Well, that's a dumb question.

Sat outside for our visit, but the insde seemed pleasent and welcoming. The coffee and cake was really good value for money, but the service was quite slow and the young girl who served didn't seem to be very interested in her customers. Would go again, if only for the coffee and outside eating area, helpful when you have a dog with you.

Went for a 'quick' dinner today before doing some shopping. We were waited on quite quickly - but the place was quite empty. The waitress was rather gruff, she was impatient as my four year old was speaking as I was trying to order. My parents were with us too. We ordered some toasted sandwiches and my daughter had a pizza. The drinks came in an ok time- the tea was fine but my parents coffees could have been hotter. The food however took ages to arrive. This isn't a one off - this is the norm - i speak from experience - I should have remembered! The sandwiches came with no side salad just the toasties plonked on a plate. My daughters pizza was tasty but soggy. It's ok but if your in a hurry avoid- and the older waitress with long plaited hair really needs to learn to be polite rather than biting your head off . Not on a hurry to return.

After a morning at the local hospital my mother and I decided to have lunch somewhere nice in Bangor, we asked around and someone recommended Antoniazzi's. Maybe the italian name lured us too. We asked for the Crispy Battered Cod with Tartare Sauce, however when it came there was no tartare sauce, the fish was breaded and clearly from a packet with heaviest breading I've ever seen, so sad as really looking forward to crispy batter, light and crisp!!The poor waitress was charming, but had no power, the power was in the hands of the grumpiest, surliest (tartare!!), this side of the Volga. The food is very poor, their ice creams look good, and are probably home made. My advice is stick to what you do well, and be the best you can. I really think people are more gastronomically educated than people think. Have a small menu of fresh locally sourced food that you make really well! I would advise the staff and owners to go and have a meal at the local opposition, like Blue Sky Cafe (which we would have done had my mother been more able), take notes, taste and try to improve.

We've had a lovely lunch here while we were staying in Bangor. The sun was heating the few tables outside just to the degree we wanted and we enjoyed watching people go past. It was recommended by the cyclist gentleman next to our B&B and it was a decent place to go. We had two courses from the two courses for £12 (or 10? can't remember) board and I thought it was excellent value. I had a decent size panini with a side salad and it was lovely. Our waitress didn't seem too familiar with the menu though which is a bit of a shame. We ended up having a slice of cake in the end and as my girlfriend loves strawberry ice cream I got her some "Strawberry and Balsamic Vinegar" ice cream. Yeah, even the name of it sounds real bad, but it actually was lovely, and she quite enjoyed it in the end. Wouldn't hesitate going back.

I was served by a lovely woman-v.polite and attentive. However, the youngest one(with a bun in her hair)was so rude and miserable-if I were the owner I would get rid of her.She never smiled once at the customers and I don't think she even said thank you.Her attitude towards the other(nice)woman was AWFUL.She talked(or grunted) to her as if she were dirt. She stood behind the counter with her arms folded and her face like thunder. I don't think I'll be going back which is a shame as the food looked lovely and they had a great choice of pannini fillings.

Fantastic hospitality! friendly family run business with a relaxed atmosphere, top quality catering and service! people need to support independent businesses like this and not waste their time and money in usual high street chains. The homemade ice cream was YUMMY! I like to think myself a bit of an ice cream connoisseur and this was one of the best (maybe even THE BEST) that I have ever tasted...in the world! My family and I will be returning to try some different flavours when next in the area :)Thanks for brightening up a rainy day in North Wales :) x

There is times of the day where there's no alternative for having a coffee in town. We went here twice during our visit of Caernarfon. I did not take a coffee at the second visit as I didn't like it. It is less clean inside and everything seems a little loveless. The sweet cakes etc. are great though. At least, the products are rather inexpensive.

We made the mistake of going back to this pub having visited several times over the years, it was completely dead and the bar lady had a serious attitude problem, when two other guests arrived the bar woman was now siting in the corner and i pointed her out simple saying the bar woman was over there - she completely turned on me obviously annoyed i’d called her a bar woman ( she clearly wasn’t a solicitor) which also resulted in her partner becoming extremely aggressive and was expecting a physical assault to be taking place, luckily i managed to de escalate the situation which if full of locals would’ve only been worse. The woman clearly has mental health problems and probably a drug user and shouldn’t be working in an environment selling alcohol.

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome
