We called today (19/10/17), and after the fantastic greeting, even my Service dog, got a sausage. We chose Jacket potatoes (1 cheese and beans the other chilli and cheese) with side salad. The portions were sumptious and very filling, washed down with 2 big mugs of tea..Total cost £11.90. We have paid a lot more for less, the girls were very friendly, so this place gets a big thumbs up from us.

just a simple little cafe with plain unpretentious and wholesome home cooking. They will do their very best to please and nothing is too much trouble

Stopped off here today for breakfast all the other places in tywyn where crowded so we tried here. We got a very warm welcome, the menu was explained to us but I already new what I wanted. I had the full Breakfast with an added egg, and fried bread, and all it cost was £5.25 and that's with the extras, the staff said if they did not have anything in that I wanted then they would go out and get it and that to me is good service. Because the food is cooked to order it took a bit of time for it to arrive at our table, but it was served hot,, very tasty and virtually no grease on the plate. This is a local greasy spoon Cafe with the prices to match which in my eyes is never a bad thing so not many tourists will use it but I would rather pay local prices instead of what tourists get charged in other high end, cafes or restaurants which charge more. Great little Cafe give it a try

Arrived in Tywyn after a long day looking for accommodation. Very helpful person in Yum Yums suggested a number of possible places and we found one right across the high street.

Coffee was dire, and cold! Waited long enough for it so I was unsure what on earth happened with it to be honest! Café over the road was packed out that's why we ended up here, not surprised we were the only ones in there! Score on the door said 5, not sure how? There was even a dog roaming around off lead with the owners permission! I gave it a 2 on my review, despite my bad coffee the waitress was actually a really nice lady!

variety of food, price wasn't bad. The shop itself could do with a makeover as its suffering a little wear and tear here and there... but other than that its pretty average.

Popped in for lunch with family and we were the only four people in the cafe. The service at first was okay but things started to go down hill very quickly. There was a dog in the cafe that made us wonder about the cleanliness straight away. We all ordered our meals and the drinks then took nearly 15 minutes to arrive. The tea and coffee wasnt even hot and tasted awful. Two of our four were then served their meals while the other two of us has to wait another 20minutes (which was only a tea cake and omelette). When these arrived the omelette was good but the tea cake was stone cold. When we then came to pay I asked why there had been such a delay and the tea cake was cold, I was told to "ask the chef" who had earlier told me to ask the woman on the counter! The level of service was shocking with the words sorry never muttered by anyone in the establishment. The cafe on the whole was dirty and the attitude of the staff was a disgrace to tourists who bring a lot of money into Tywyn. There of lots of nicer places to go in Tywyn who actually appreciate their customers. To make it worse it wasn't even cheap, please avoid.

Poor Service and poor food! Looks better from the outside, but don't be fooled. It wasn't even busy but we waited an age whilst the person who served us popped to the shop to buy goods to cook !!!!! Drinks were forgotten and served at the end, Pie and Mash consisted of "Smash" and a burger was so over micro-waved it was rock hard. Sorry to be so negative, but compared to other eateries in Tywyn, this place has a lot to learn !!!!! Never again.......

Only a small place but well worth stopping for something to eat. The breakfast was lovely and not very dear. Along with cooked food they do some lovey cakes.

this could be a really good café but it cannot cope on busy times y ou have to wait along time for your food to arrive because the grill can only cope with 2 breakfasts at a time there are usually 2 or three of us and the waitress brings the plates with her bare hands so they are not hot either .. we usually order milky coffees that are not hot and quite often the tables are still in a mess from the day before and they don,t always open very early

I wouldn’t normally venture into a place with a name like this – I find it off-putting and suggestive (in a negative sense) of what you might find inside. But, it was a busy day in Tywyn (Race The Train), other places were full, so in we went. Yum-Yums is just a basic British café with a range of food and drink to match. On first impression it felt a little cramped. This is due to the large tables I guess, with not much room between them, but of course these are handy if you are a largish family group. The tables were covered in oilskin like cloth, which should be easily cleaned. Unfortunately ours was not – there were the remains of the previous occupants’ meal on the table, chair and floor. I assume a child had been sitting here, but don’t parents clean up after their children any more? And why hadn’t the staff cleaned up? They’d cleared the table of plates and cutlery, why not go that extra mile and clean the table too? Anyway, the cakes are bought in – nothing wrong with that, most places do it, and the cake was fine. The coffee, though, was, well, brown and warm – couldn’t say more than that. I won’t be going back in here, there’s plenty of choice in Tywyn. If the table isn’t clean you do wonder about the rest of i, hence the 'poor' overall review. But the families in there tucking into various unhealthy looking mostly fried meals seemed to be happy enough.

Alana is a scam artist. Sends damaged squashed and disgusting cakes and then refuses to refund, would not order again from these people

There is times of the day where there's no alternative for having a coffee in town. We went here twice during our visit of Caernarfon. I did not take a coffee at the second visit as I didn't like it. It is less clean inside and everything seems a little loveless. The sweet cakes etc. are great though. At least, the products are rather inexpensive.

We were looking for somewhere downtown harlech for a drink and food with our two boys, 9 and 14 years of age. We read the sign outside. Everyone welcome except for children. Dogs especially welcome. Adults only. A few of the local guys told me it's a swingers hotel where the dogs can get involved. Avoid. If you do want a good pint with holiday makers and locals all enjoying good food and drink and friendly conversation I would highly recommend walking an extra 200yds to the pub right next to the train station. Dogs, kids, humans all seem to be equally welcome

Very tired the pub is now! Such a shame as could be amazing and occupies such a prime position! Beer is expensive and unfortunately Marstons Pedigree and Rev James! Not great! Did not eat but saw food coming out, Tikka Masala looked dreadful! In urgent need of revamp inside and out! Come on Marstons!!!!
