The Range Coffee Shop in Gwynedd

The Range is one of those shops you almost forget about, and then when you pop in hoping they have what you're after... you end up coming out with many items you needed. I prefer this experience to Amazon shopping.

The workers were all helpful and friendly.

Not a massive range that I'm used to but it did have a vast amount of items dor sale. It also had a cafe but I didn't use it so can't comment

A really nice, well set out, well thought out store. Highlights include the Café, the Pet Section and the Christmas 2023 Santa & Christmas 2023 Lights Display! Throughout the year The Range offers a great range of products at great prices etc. Thank-you! Not to be missed.

Lots of choice at competitive prices

Great store, but I am resently going there with disabled relative in wheelchair or mobility scooter lot of boxes in walkways making it very difficult to get around. Also theres a few items with no prices on ( have to find staff, wait for then to get prices, come back to you) lot of time wasted. The Range have lost out on sales with us because prices not seen. Update Nov 2023 still the same as difficult as it was to a wheelchair user to get around.

Haven't been for along time, but took the plunge last week. Disability parking rights outside the doors , all level walking. Something for everyone, pets crafter, even a cafe. Oh yes toilets. I love it.

Arrived 10 minutes early stood to talk to the fella on the door he was great to be told that we could come in but wouldn’t be served untill 10am we said thank you and no sooner had we stepped into the store did the manager come to us like a raging bull and hurry us out the door rudely saying NO U can’t come in yet we’re not serving untill 10 am then continued to slam the sliding doors shut in our faces and afterwards no apology or anything not acceptable behaviour at all ! Nothing bad to say about floor staff they are great and go above and beyond to make u feel at home safe to say won’t be returning anymore such a shame

Very good shop with lots of products to buy

Bangor - The Range is a very disappointing store. Unhappy staff, store not managed well. Untidy, cluttered. Checkouts only 1 person on when busy. Compared to other Range stores this is the worst one I have been into. Room for improvement.

I like the Range good value for money the only criticism I have is every time I go I need to ask the price on a lot of items as there are shelf labels missing

Lots of great things a affordable prices staff very helpful.Busy getting into bangor on saturday but The Range only just of a55 so only took 5 mins.

Always find what I want here 👍 , so much choice of everything from sweets, to sheets, cards, cutlery, plates etc, cleaning products, toys, picture frames .. the list is long .. plus, they have a cafe on the far left-hand side (with WC) 👍friendly staff, very helpful , all at great prices . Last example went to 2 supermarkets for dylon clothes dye .. no luck .. .. direction The Range and they have a good choice of colours 👍

It's been several years since I did a review of The Range (Bangor) where I gave it 3 stars so thought I would update it. Then it was a pain trying to access and shop as their Covid measures were among the strongest. All that has gone so it's business as usual. went in looking for picture frame and came out with double the amount plus sauces, spices, paint and t-towels all at reasonable prices.

Jack in Bangor store (North Wales) couldn’t do enough to help me. He was very busy busy stocking shelves when I approached him for his assistance. He was more than happy to stop and help me. He checked for the promotional price, helped me carry the very items to the checkout, even jumped on the till to get me through the till as he could see I was struggling with the weight. He then helped me get my items to the car and loaded my car with the items. Throughout he was very polite and smiling. Didn’t make feel like a nuisance. I very much appreciate his willingness to help with such a pleasant personality. A credit to the Bangor store and The Range as a whole!

hadn't been to this recently, so decided to give it a go. it was lunchtime and tried to order a baked potato. was told to wait an hour as they had just gone in the oven. at lunchtime ????? fortunately there are other places nearby that do it so much better and definitely will not be visiting here again

Went to Th Range in Bangor today, and needed a bit of help from one of the staff! She was called Julie!! Can I just say a massive thank you to her for all her help. It realy meant a lot tonthe both of us on quite a dufficult day. She was an Angel and went out of her way to help us get what we needed. Nothing was too much trouble for her!!! She is a huge asset to Bangor The Range shoo!!! If you read this please tell her Thank you again!! I think we would have a laugh on a nigjt out as we said😆😆. Bless you!!!!

We made the mistake of buying from The Range again. Our order is 2 days late and when my partner asked me to call for an update, I was told that even though I just want to know where the order is, I would have to get her to give me permission to ask on her behalf. I didn't want to ask any personal or payment details, just when it will arrive. So I filled in the online form and was told it could take 4 days to receive and answer! 4 DAYS? Is this because of the amount of complaints or a lack of investment in their customer service department? I suspect a bit of both.

Nice staff, the building is as bit tired, big car park though.

Great range of products. Accesable for people with disabilities. The only downside is sometimes there isn't enough checkouts open so you can wait in a large cue.

If I need something for the house, this is the place to go to, and without too much strain on your wallet.

Went to Bangor Gwynedd branch looking for curtains. Young staff member very helpful but as they didn't have size I needed she suggested I go on line. Internet connection in Bangor very poor so had to wait until I got home to order them. They arrived within just a few days and very pleased with them . This next advice doesn't really reflect on The Range but thought it worth mentioning. Had a snack whilst in store and coffee was lovely but my only negative was the burger. A plain bun with a hamburger and a cold slice of cheese, nothing else. Not complaining about the price but the burger was disappointing.

Always a good variety of goods, and some real bargains to be had. Downside is the increasing number of unpriced items.

Great place sell all kinds of homeward at v reasonable prices. Worth a visit.

Does what it says over the door. A wide range of everything at sensible prices.

Reasonable selection of fishing gear compared to other branches.

Everything is laid out well, products together colours, type, style so easy to find what you need. Only slight complaint is the pricing isn't always easy to see.

Some really good bargains here, and there's a cafe inside with great hot drinks and food, all very reasonably priced. This latte was £1.50!

Good range of products. Plenty of art-type stuff for kids which was my main reason for going there. Staff were interested and knowledgeable on what they sold and where it was. One criticism - the main doors are a complete mess, there are literally dozens of posters all over them, for the love of god remove them all!

Got exactly what I needed, great prices

Watch out for the parking charges, especially bad over the christmas period.

Bangor:- A really helpful staff member took the time in his busy day to tell me about his Xmas display, which clearly took many many hours to create, and filled him with pride. Thank you. We perhaps don’t appreciate how much time and effort goes into product placement, and changing a store layout from summer season to the festive period overnight, moving over 15,000 items. Well done, Merry Xmas.

As an ex retail store manager, first impressions count! I've never seen such a scruffy looking store front! If I was the manager of this store, I'd be up there with a pressure washer!

We were looking for an "archaeological" crystal digging kit for our G/daughter (crystals encased in stone you have to smash with a mallet). Couldn't find one anywhere - but The Range had a great one with 8 semi-precious stones in individual themed shapes on offer, so top marks.

Still Covid friendly. Hand sanitizer is available. Some customers were wearing masks. Great range of stock to suit all tastes at reasonable prices. Lovely cafe for a quick snack and drink. Toilet available.

I looked on the website for pond filters and found that Bangor store had 3 in stock. However after making a special journey to Bangor to buy the said filter only to find there were none in stock . Speaking to the staff they said this happens often that they advertise on line but they don't carry the stock. I was annoyed to say the least

Great food and value for money excellent service.

Terrible for wheelchairs, boxes, trolleys full of stock, steps blocking a lot of the aisles which are fairly narrow anyway, a lot of stock wasn't priced, disappointing!

Plesant and helpful Staff. Decent range of items. Keep till receipts, parking control can be nasty.

Awful interior, needs a refit. Quite depressing

The Range is always interesting to explore and the cafe is a welcome addition. I just feel so sad and claustrophobic in this cafe as it has no natural light and feels dull and drab almost hidden away and a not a real feature of the Range Shopping experience. I think it is time for a review and makeover!
