The pizza was good; drizzled with basil oil, I think. The interior feels confused. Needs a better layout that is less cramped in circulation, and an interior design worthy of its setting.

Arrived at The Village close to 5pm when most restaurants were closing. Found my way to the Town Hall Cafe which was still selling desserts. Running out of time, I bought the first thing I saw, a yellow cake with layers of jam, white frosting and chocolate dripping. It was delicious! I have enclosed a picture. Does anyone know what this is called? I would love to get more or attempt to make some but have had no luck with Google searches. Thanks in advance.

We had jacket potatoes which were nicely cooked and I had coleslaw which tasted homemade and it was absolutely lovely! The side salad was fresh and delicious! The chefs seem like a happy bunch, the pizzas looked great too. On a side note. There was a polite lady on the check out, but apart from that the staff seemed more interested in having a chinwag rather than greeting and serving customers. When we first walked in, there were three or four team members having a chat, no one greeted us, we didn't know whether we just walked in and sat down, or if we would be shown to a table? We took a guess and headed for a seat, no one stopped us so we guessed it was right. My partner ordered food and was pointed to the chefs to make an order then pay the lady. We stacked our plates on the tray before we left as we couldn't see anywhere that we should have put them?

No outside seating available until we had waited around 20 minutes. What wasn't clear was that there was additional seating available inside which we would have preferred. No pizzas or linguine available. To cap it all, two mouthfuls later, the fire alarm went off. There were insufficient staff to ascertain that this was a false alarm and so we all had to disperse, along with our half-eaten food. This increased the waiting time even more, needless to say.

The best bit of our visit to Portmeirion! The fish was freshly cooked and the batter was very crispy. The restaurant served us quickly, and it was good to sit down inside for lunch. However Portmeirion itself was pretty disappointing: We paid £17 to get in and had explored the whole village (the bits you are allowed access to) within an hour, including browsing all the shops. Very touristy, but not a good tourist experience, sorry. The plate of fish & chips was very good though!

for £35ish we were disappointed. As a group of four of us went somewhere else. One of us went for the beef burger, the buns were soggy and the patty was just lighty heated up as if it was just thrown into a microwave quickly. I personally got chicken curry with chips, the chicken was grinded up with chunk of chicken which was fine but the actually curry was very watery , oily and it looked like it was just thrown on the basic chips. My younger sister got a margarita pizza. Dam, I never personally seen so much cheese thrown on top of a pizza. Finally the worst one out of the bunch, the vegetarian curry with chips. Holy, the sogginess of the food made me uncomfortable, the vegetables were soft and mushy which made the chips(same ones as I had with the chicken curry) off-putting.Do I recommend that you eat here? Simply, No. There is a restaurant further down the path which looks way more luxurious and is the same price or cheaper than here.

They are trying hard during coronavirus but honestly - if you are thinking of visiting the village make alternative plans for food in advance. We ordered one adult pizza and one children’s pizza. Low quality frozen pizza - like the bad ones. The strangest thing of all was that both pizzas were the same size - despite the children’s one being £5 and the adult one £10. When I questioned this, thinking there must have been a mistake they told me that’s what they always do. Charge two different prices for the same pizza. As if that’s normal. I just thought it was strange and if they can make money on the pizza at £5 what’s the markup at £10? It doesn’t really matter since it was really horrible anyway. Not a good experience.

Having visited Portmeirion many times, we decided as we had previously eaten elsewhere in The Village we would try the Town Hall. Not only is it difficult to get seated it is not wheelchair friendly, and the waitress kept sighing and rolling her eyes at us as we tried to stow my wheelchair. She then came and told us that they were not serving hot food as it was about ten past eleven and they didn't start lunches until 11.30 so I asked if we could order anyway, have our drinks whilst we waited, she didn't really seem to understand me. Another waitress came and took our order, only for yet another person to ask us if we had ordered, the staff just didn't seem to have a clue how to serve customers. When we food arrived it was just awful, the bread was dry and stale, the onion rings seemed like they had been reheated and the salad had a weird dressing on it that made it taste awful, and some of the salad leaves were brown. We managed a few chips and the meat from the sandwich (which to be fair was nice). We went to pay and when asked if all was okay they seemed shocked when we said no. The girl at the till fetched the person in charge to discuss this and he was adamant all the food was fresh that day, if that is the case they need to get a new supplier. He did however give us a small discount on the meal. Would never eat there again and would not recommend it.

We didn't even get to eat here and were messed around about wether we could or couldn't when we had 3 young children in tow also that were hungry. Apparently the till were down so the rude and abrupt young waitress said they couldn't process orders. We suggested writing them down and we could pay with cash- she rolled her eyes and sighed- went away---cam back and said ok---then came back and said no using the same reason. Saying then they couldn't process payment so the chefs had stopped cooking- absolutely ridiculous. We said we can calculate the order and give them the cash so they can process it when the tills were back on as surely this wouldn't take long and the kids had already waited long enough just to get to this point- a resounding refusal and very huffy/puffy attitude from the waitress- really not impressed. God help them if they didn't have computers to do the thinking for them-then again----maybe a robot would have better manners and customer service skills than what we experienced. Some professionalism and good manners would've gone a long way in this situation- not bad attitude and being messed around

We stopped off here during a visit to Portmeirion and found it to be excellent. We had a sandwich and a beer each, which were served quickly in what was a busy cafe. The sandwiches were tasty, good value and were complimented by friendly service. Definitely recommend for a lunchtime bite.

Was really surprised by this little place -- a hidden gem. Ordered the chicken korma sandwich, which tasted amazing, and the bara brith was delicious, and only £2. The staff took a long time to bring our bill (we had to ask for it three times), but they were all super friendly and helpful and brought our food out quickly. A great little place with a great ambiance and really good views on a sunny day (really good outdoor seating area).

We stopped in this cafe twice, we had early morning coffee/ hot chocolates and returned lunchtime for a sandwich. The sandwiches had tasty bread and a good size filling served with a nice salad garnish and a few crisps. We shared a prawn cocktail and a coronation chicken, both good value. A sandwich was around £7 but worth it. We sat outside watching everyone walk by and the staff were very friendly. Great place for lunch. They do proper meals to.

On a visit to Porteirion on a cold day in March my partner and I decided to have lunch in the Town Hall Restaurant. We were made very welcome by the staff. Our lunch of baked potatoes and salad was hearty and very competively priced.

Not cheap for a roast red pepper and gucamole sandwich but a £6.95 I think it was well worth it. It came with crisp and a side salad. The dressing on the salad was one of the best I have ever tasted. A lovely break in the afternoon. We left feeling very refreshed.

Went in here for an afternoon drink after a day out whilst staying in the hotel. Nice ambiance and service was good. Closed at 4.30pm on a Saturday which was a bit early but they did not rush us out.

We went in for a meal , we ordered burger and chips , and quiche and salad. The food was fairly quick to arrive. My partner said the burger was rubbery, and tasteless and the burger bun was dry. The salad and quiche, were ok. We were over all a little disappointed, has we expected more. The staff were pleasent, and the place clean .

The staff in this cafe are very friendly, it's just a shame about the food. I got a scone, which was tiny and kind of.. soggy. I asked for a latte and got a tiny cup of what tasted like dish water. (If you want proper coffee, I later found No.6 cafe near the entrance which sells actual, real coffee that tastes of coffee in a normal sized cup). We also got pizza and salad for my daughter. The pizza was passable and the salad was very nice but the chips were pale and greasy oven chips. It was fairly cheap but personally, I'd rather pay a bit more and eat proper food. It was clean and the toilets were in good order.

The service was quick and friendly and the food was good quality. £50 for a lunch for four people including beer and wine represents great all round value.
