Lovely little pub by the castle, great atmosphere and lovely staff, especially the manager Sharon, shes 😍 lovely

Fantastic place for a drink with views in front of the castle

No soap or toilet rolls in the toilets, slow service. Toilets could do with a good clean. Wont go back there .

O dear. Wondered why nobody was here. Bought a drink and we both had mould in our glasses. The floor was sticky. Nice to sit outside...and the drinks were a lot cheaper here than the ones nearer the castle.

Although a regulars pub the staff were friendly & we didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Great prices on the drinks too!

Didn't realise ''Craft Union'' had taken this pub over, like the rest of their establishments it is the biggest dive in town. No Craft beer as it's name implies but just different standards of chemical tasting lagers the three worst Fosters, Coors and Carling a smoothflow and apple-free cider. Its got a prime spot but the tourists give a wide berth due to the pub providing outside seating where the few locals who do visit put off anyone considering visiting. Barmaid takes ages even when there aren't many customers in.

Walked in, asked in both Cymraeg and English for a pint of Guinness and wether food was being served. Met with absolute silence. Guinness wasn’t great, staff were terrible. Don’t bother - go somewhere else.

Brilliant pub £6 for a pint of guiness and a pint of lager. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was brill.

After a crazy day climbing snowdon my bro and I were keen for a few drinks. After getting bored at numerous other pubs in the small town we managed to find this place. We kept asking locals where the most lively place was but as you can imagine it was impossible to understand them being as we are from Essex and none of them speak English to a high standard. Once we’d stumbled Into the door of Morgan Lloyd once we finally found it, we were greeted with the cheapest cherry sours shots ever and the worst smell of BO. The stench was either the rotting carpet or the punters but we weren’t bothered by this as we were there for a good time not a long time luckily. Would we go back? Possibly if everywhere else was shut and aliens decided to invade earth. Decor: -4/10 Punters: 3/10 (only because there were some English folk at the bar) Drinks price: 23/10 Music: 1/10 (my bro paid the dj to play better music, put it that way) Overall: Mental.

The sort of pub I like!!, not too 'Modern and Flashy', in my opinion, a PROPER pub, Oh and when I went there mid-week, it was £2 for a pint of Worthington's Bitter..Yes, that's right....£2!!

Cracking lil bar and lovely building, made a few friends because everyone was so lovely, and also made a few ears bleed on the karaoke 🙈😂. Would return and recommend 😊

One of the worst if not the worst pub in Caernarfon, not clean full of drunks and worse avoid this place especially if you’re visiting Caernarfon

A rough place all round. Popped in after dinner in town. Karaoke on! The do not serve wine, Prosecco or Port here which is quite remarkable for a pub nowadays. Potent beer here though and we saw one guy sitting on a high bar stool simply fall flat on his face to the floor sustaining a very bloody nose. He just got up and simply left the pub clearly very inebriated. Visitors - come here only if you are curious to see local life.

Good place to go for a drink at the end of the night.

Had some nice times here, including at tables outside, in the sunshine. Helpful staff. Late on Sunday night, they gladly called a taxi for us and when it didn't come phoned them again and got them to come straightaway.

This is what every pub should be like great atmosphere and prices highly recommended conveintly located in the town main square near the castle and all shops , cafes etc . Frequented by locals which is always a good sign .

Friendly staff, but disappointed by the range of beer on offer, we opted for a cider and a nice pleasant seat outside to watch the world go by.

Must give the Morgan Lloyd 5 stars for the procedures they have introduced due to covid 19. Felt totally safe there. Bar staff and door men vigilant and made sure social distances adhered to and was on the ball. Well done

It is by my opinion the best pub in canarfon

This is clearly a place for the locals. Decor is in need of repair, the ladies toilets were held open with a sanitary bin, not very private. Toilet paper stuck to the floor behind the door. No soap in the dispenser. Staff member was pleasant and friendly.

The Morgan lloyd is a friendly pub the owner is friendly and the place is spotless. Karaoke nights on sunday from 7:30 brilliant atmosfear. Nice place for a drink and to relax.

Staff are always welcoming, there's always a good pint here. The toilets are seriously clean and the pub's interior too, which makes a nice change compared to some pubs in this town.

It's a little pub on one level with very little seating. The beer was OK and the staff were helpful.

Had a pint a few weeks back and it tasted weird, but i carried on drinking anyway, after i finished i looked at the bottom of the glass and it was caked in mold, it was horrible, apparently it has happened to a few people! Clean your glasses properly

The pub is situated in a lovely square with shops, cafes, open air market and a great view of the castle.

Horrible service, horrible food, horrible drinks and honestly horrible customers. Wouldn't go there again if you paid me. Absolute bunch of delinquents. The lot of them. If I had a choice between dying and going here I would gladly die. Please, for your own health, don't go!!

Not dog friendly. It says thay are. Bar staff said no. I had being comming with my dog after walking on a sunday afternoon just for one drink. Poped last week to be told no dogs aloud.

Absolutely lovely pub. Staff and management very friendly and welcoming. Only had a coffee on a cold wet day after visiting the castle but it was a really nice drink. Will definitely visit again in the future!

You can sit and people watch and look at the viws. Very reasnable prices £2.50 for pint of bitter. A really good boozer.

Went to this pub and really used to like it but we were charged £13 for 2double whiskys and diet coke so we won't be going again it's £6 in wetherspoons

Pub muy tranquilo cuando entramos, sólo un par de copas, me sentí un poco incómodo al principio, pero que pronto pasó cuando uno de los "habitués" hablaba. Más tarde vinieron familias a comer y el pub llena rápidamente. Cuando nos fuimos el barman dijo gracias y adiós, un agradable toque.

Thanks to the staff at the Morgan for letting us in as a family of 4 for a few Guinesses and J2O's after a long day exploring Harlech and Criccieth. You were the only pub that would and this was the last place we tried. Very friendly all round experience and will come back again. Great to hear the welsh language widely spoken as well. Keeping it alive is excellent. As a humble tourist it was great to see.

Popped in to check if we could bring our dogs in here on a dull grey cold windy day to be told in a very welcoming way that we could. This was just what we wanted to hear! We grabbed a table and ordered coffees and drinks and our dogs relaxed under the table. Thank you so much for giving us a place to sit down and relax - the only dog friendly place we could find!

Good music on the jukebox but think the pub lacks identity at the moment .. But I'm sure once it has one it will be a fine pub ...

We ventured into this establishment as part of our stag weekend in the town. I can only say that we were speechless! The place was soulless, the staff were all wearing their outdoor coats (presumably due to the number of cigarette breaks they were taking) and they were humourless. The clientele were amazing, a real education. Jeremy Kyle, eat your heart out! i can honestly say I have never been anywhere quite like it, and believe me I've stumbled into and out of a few hostelries over the years! Try it, it's an education!

This is a local pub with a welcome for all and the pint is the best in Caernarfon if you like a good pint give it a visit

Tired and thirsty my husband and I dropped in for refreshment. The welcome was not at all warm, I was served by a man who uttered not one single word, no smile, no engagement..........zero customer service! Avoid!

Sorry folks, The Morgan Lloyd is closed again, mind you, it was so terrible no one is surprised. The Disco wasn't bad but the venue, yuk.
