Lovely food , despite an abundance of bees landing on us whilst eating with 3 little children under the veranda , owners have got some bee attractions but they were all full . No children’s menu but we ordered adults food and shared them out . And no high chairs , so although children liked the animals we probs won’t go again because cafe no overly child friendly .

Just googling to see if they're open...on way to a regular breakfast treat. Easy parking. Great local shop for essentials on way into the caffi...well laid out unpretentious tables and a large menu to choose from. Food usually arrives without a long wait, and we have yet to find any fault with it. Been breakfasting here for years now...delighted that they are still dishing up tasty food at a very reasonable cost. Good coffee too :-)

Called in to the Cafe today for the first time. What a little gem of a place. Very friendly staff and very professional. Food is excellent with a good choice of vegan and intolerance friendly on the menu. Give The Cafe a try. You won't be disappointed. I'll definitely be going back...

Enjoyed a delicious home cooked Sunday roast with family. Quality of meat excellent. Choice of beef, pork which was plated with roast potatoes, parsnips, Yorkshire pudding, red cabbage & crackling if desired. Self service for peas, sprouts, carrots and gravy. Accompanied with condiments, sauces of your choice. £19.00 per head which included choice of dessert & half pint.

Never been here before but always wanted to try. Went in and ordered coffee for two and a piece of lemon drizzle cake. One coffee to be extra hot. Both coffees were served extra hot (one not asked for) and the lemon drizzle cake was awful. Tasted like synthetic lemon, the meringue/sugar toppings were tasteless. My partner said to the server that it did not taste right/nice and gave it back after one forkful. She mentioned it tasting very synthetic. The server said yes probably as probably from the supplier. Was not offered anything else, money back etc and there was too much of a queue at the counter to wait to see the person behind. I suspect the manager/owner. Also there was someone singing, in my opinion and the people at the next table (one took his hearing aid out) very badly. Very disappointing and would not dream of returning again.

Received menus from waitress who failed to tell us severall items were not available. We then went upstairs and sat to no avail, no one came to take an order. We went down stairs to place an order order then to be told their card machine wasn't working. I ended up eating sausages & mash which was swimming in gravy. All in all Loaf you failed on every level, well done.

Always have great food when I visit, homemade cakes are delicious, the prices are very reasonable too. I am a support worker and I take the ladies I support here for lunch, and they are always very accommodating. Always a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere too.

Beautiful food. On the night we stayed they served smoked salmon and capers, ham hock terrine and carrot soup with, wait for it, a peanut butter and honey sandwich and it was delicious (never would thought it but it really worked). Also, beef wellington and potato dauphinoise, gnocchi, delice, poached pear, chocolate mousse, sticky toffee pudding and cheese and biscuits. Three courses for £50. Wine started at £25 a bottle and they have a number of Welsh wines to offer. Service was friendly but discreet and the dining room is quiet and respectful. Loudmouths steer clear - it's not your sort of place. Romantics and foodies encouraged.

We had a takeaway this evening …. We’ve had a few from here before and we’ve eaten in there too … Not sure what went wrong tonight as it’s usually ALL 5 star but the Peshwari Naan was very wet inside and fell apart , the rice was very very greasy and the chicken in the Tikka Balti was very grissley . Poppadums were standard but oh my god the pickle tray is absolutely the bare minimum they can give out isn’t it , and it’s not enough for two people for sure . The veg platter was good , the seafood Silhetey was good but overall it just scraped a 4 out of 5 and my wife only wanted to give it a 3 …. Very disappointed and very surprised too if I’m honest . There’s so much competition nowadays that you have to be careful don’t you . We won’t go there again , like I said … it should have been a 3 star really 👍

We were looking for a good beer whilst in llandidloes and tried the Stag Inn. Modern take on a traditional pub where you can take your own takeaway in to enjoy. The beer was good 2 offerings from Three Tuns a great brewery and 1 from Purple Moose. Friendly welcome based on the one visit recommended!
