Ordered food at the bar and was not busy when we ordered our food once ordered we sat down with our drinks
30 mins went by and other people who arrived in the pub a good 10-15mins after us were being served there food to there table
My partner is a diabetic too so she asked how the food would be the lady told her 5mins
Time went by then the lady came over to our table and said so sorry but your order didn’t get to the kitchen
So at that point was completely cheesed off at this point and left the pub
The lady gave my partner a mars bar as she’s a diabetic but service was awful unfortunately
Popped in for a drink after work and decided to stay on and have food. Opted for the steak and a chicken schnitzel. Both dishes were excellent. Fresh, full of flavour, delicious.
Mock timber frame manor house retaining much of its character and charm. No lifts. Breakfast was choose your own pre-packed cereals with a cooked option. Dinner was a mini-taster with delicious options which we watched cooked on TV cameras. The room was clean but dated with an en-suit crammed in. High windows restricted light and views of extensive gardens and river. The staff were friendly and willing but lacked service training. Guests our age do not wish to be called 'you guys'.
The Ice cream is nice and there are a wide variety of flavours. The young lady that served us was very moody and unpleasant. We were also told that it wasn’t possible to have sauce on ice creams in cones which we found odd.
What a little gem. Working away from home is always difficult, but The Railway Inn is a complete respite from engineering life on the road, and so friendly and welcoming. It's a beautiful quiet spot, fantastic food, comfy bed and great shower (what else do you need?) And the cooked breakfast is fabulous, and fuels you for the day. 10 out of 10. I'm definitely coming back here! Thank you to all the staff for taking care of me. 👍👍👍👍
Ate here for 1st time last night.
The food was absolutely delicious.
As it was a Sunday they do a special menu all for £14.95.
It has a great choice.
Poppadoms, then a starter of your choice & a main course with either Naan bread or rice.
The staff we very friendly and attentive.
Had a lovely atmosphere too.
We look forward to a return visit.
Looking for a place to eat in Brecon on a Sunday evening and gave it a try. They were very accommodating. Food was very good and the ambience was also nice. We would go again if we are in the area.
Bought some cakes . They were ok but bought a can of coke after opening it and starting to drink it found out it was 5 months out of date . To late to take it back as was in the car on the way home
