Went with my daughter and we both had a nice salad meal . Lovely flavours. Only reason I gave 4 stars is they were out of a few dishes , saying that it was towards the end of the day.

Great food, friendly staff, and excellent value for money. Small, relaxed cafe, well worth a visit. Lovely flavours and interesting vegetarian dishes.

Came across Ty Medi from an online recommendation, so had a visit when in the area. Opted for a quick and easy Granola bowl, only to have a 40 minute wait. Tables who ordered after us were served their full breakfasts before us, so we queried if they may have simply forgotten us, only to have a very dismissive reply of ‘We’re really busy with breakfast’ (There were only 4 other tables, only 2 of which were after us) The food itself was fantastic, along with one of the best Matcha Latte’s I’ve had in a long time. Just a shame about the overall experience.

Honestly some of the most delicious food I've ever had! So glad we found this place, it's got a really lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and the food was mind blowing; really fresh ingredients and divine flavour combinations. Ty Medi was such a highlight of our trip, we'd come back to Machynlleth just for the food!

We were blown away with this cafe - so much so that we came back the next day and arranged our 3 day trip around going back! The food was incredible - we tried 4 different things from the menu and every one was brilliant. Lovely salads, quiche and curries. Staff were friendly and service was really quick. One of the best cafes we've ever been to, and to find it in the middle of such a rural area was amazing.

Just recently I realised why we go out to eat... to have some exciting experience! And this was the case in this lovely place. We are not going out to eat bacon sandwiches.... This place has different yummy veg. options for lunch, we have been here twice with the kids and loved it. Good choice for deserts as well. Thank you!! sorry I forgot the name of the chef, but I am really grateful for the warm atmosphere and hearty food.

Mmmm. Reasonably nice food though both halloumis and felafels a bit oversalted, but nice cakes and decent coffee. Unfortunately though very rude, offhand staff - no smiles and always act as if they're doing you a big favour just serving you at all. As another reviewer says, the cafe across the road is less pretentious but much friendlier and does great toasties and almond croissants !

Excellent food, though opening hours on website are incorrect and food service times not shown on website at all, so disappointing when you especially make the journey to have lunch there.

Best meal since arriving in Wales

Excellent mushrooms on toast- we’ve spent the rest of our holiday thinking about them! A brilliant place for a relaxing coffee and food- wish we’d tried the cakes!

Always stop here on rare visits to Machynlleth. Service can be slow at times when busy - but drinks ands cakes always nice. Great feel inside. Worth a visit.

Best breakfast in the known universe

Amazing little cafe with a delicious vegan breakfast. You can tell effort and thought went into it and it was much more than just a bunch of stuff thrown together like some places do. Lots of flavour and really nicely presented. Highly recommend and I'll definitely be back.

Went on Friday 14 July at 11am Had the worst vegan breakfast ever. Took 40 minutes from ordering to gettingthe breakfast and only arrived after I had complained of the wait. When it came it was luke warm and the facon chewy. No apology, no nothing will not be back !!

We booked having visited last year for tea & cake. Sadly, this year it was awful. I had to get up five times to let others get past me. Far too many tables inside. Heartbreaking to see a couple try to get up on the high stools pushed in by others. The food was adequate - very dry falafels, far too salty halloumi fries. Service was dreadful - no almond milk, fries on the menu but weren’t offered despite seeing others having them, food pretty much thrown at us and clearly couldn’t wait to clear the table. Wouldn’t recommend and despite making a special trip to eat there, we won’t be returning.

Workers were lovely, service was efficient and friendly. Had the carrot cake, it was gorgeous.

Neither Google or their website mention that on Thursday no food is served. We made a special journey and paid for car parking only to find this out after we asked for menus. When I mentioned the website they said we don't use that, only "Socials"!! I'm sure their food is lovely but their marketing is terrible.

We were so disappointed today…. We’ve been here loads of times and rave to everyone about how good it is…. Last October upstairs was closed, menus at the tables and order and pay at the counter which was fine given time of year and post covid…. However today…. Still no upstairs so felt very squished and tightly packed in… not obvious what to do on arrival… menu only on a chalk board by the counter in small writing and halved from what was on offer before… prices increased as expected due to cost of living… BUT portions halved as well and really not to the standard we’ve always received before….to die for salads now mediocre 😞 awesome jacket potato wedges now frozen chips 😞 Sooo disappointed…..you guys knew how to knock it out of the park…what happened???😞😞😞

The staff are so friendly and we enjoyed our frappes (plant based milks available). Sadly we didn't have time for food but the menu looked great, I will definitely return here again as it's great to see options for vegans becoming more available :)

Loved this place. Quite a lot of indoor seating as well as outdoor (which was very handy during the comedy festival). Food was delicious, and the cakes. I had a soup (think it was butternut) which was v good, came with a delicious soft, hot roll. My husband enjoyed his falafel. Good variety of veg. The courgette and the coffee cakes were v nice too. Friendly atmostphere.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch here with friends and a baby. Beautiful setting with local artwork and the best salad and sweet potato fries I have had in a long time. Staff welcoming and food came in good time. Went back again for one of their special evening openings (spotted on their Facebook) - high quality food and drinks, and again beautiful setting for an evening out with friends.

Great find! We were passing through and headed here because of Google reviews, veggie AND dog friendly .....parked in main car park, plugged in our PHEV and pretty much crossed over the road. Really lovely café, waitresses friendly- seated us, cleared table and directed us to the counter for the daily changing menu,(always a good sign for changing fresh produce!), and easy enough to take a photo of and return to table for everyone to choose....and then great coffee and delicious food! We all really enjoyed our lunch and then a wonder around Machynclth.

A chance visit while paying through. Wonderful place and friendly atmosphere. Had the avocado on toast with seeds. It was delish and set to become a common breakfast in our house.

A delightful cafe which offers an excellent range of vegan and vegetarian food. We called by today and even though the kitchen had closed, they very kindly allowed us to order some food. We enjoyed lovely fresh salads, burgers and soup. Service was quick and friendly. It was exactly what we needed. Thankyou Ty Medi - you're doing a great job!

Stopped in Machynlleth on my drive home to stretch my legs and get a coffee. Really happy I found this place. Unfortunately I'd had a huge breakfast at my hotel, as the soup looked fab. Seemed very busy place, with lots coming in for pasties etc. Staff were very friendly The coffee was amazing. I could've stayed there all afternoon if I'm honest! Thanks for the caffeine guys!

Came for a quick lunch on route to North Wales. Very disappointed, dirty plates and cups left on the tables. Sign on entry very confusing, stating "table service only", but as you read on, you must go in to get the menu and order at the till? We had to find a menu, waiting staff did not assist at all. I ordered the Welsh cheddar cheese sandwich with sun-dried tomatoes. The person serving plonked it down on the edge of the table and walked away. It was not a sandwich - merely cheese on toast with sun-dried tomatoes. After all the positive reviews, hugely disappointed. Will not be returning.

Food of reasonable quality though not value for money, nice decor, bad seating arrangement and indifferent service. Forgot our order and not a word of apology when we reminded them.

We managed to squeeze in to this busy little place for lunch on a market day. I noticed that there was one table having a reserved sign put on it as we left so you can book ahead. The coffees we had were lovely and hot with a great flavour, much better than most of the chains you go to. All the food is homemade and delicious at a sensible price for what they are offering. Our daughter was eyeing up the homemade cakes as well, but none of us had any room left to try them. If looks are anything to go by then they are definitely worth a bash

Visited on our way to Aberdovey and although the food was OK we asked for our coffee extra hot and it was barely lukewarm so I asked the waitress could it be extra hot please and although she was pleasant and took it away to sort it out a different young woman with brown hair came back with the coffee and a small jug of hot water and said they can't make coffee too hot as it burns and we should ask for it hot in future if that's how we want it! I told her we had asked and she just tutted and walked off no apology just a bad attitude.... Go somewhere else if you want good customer service and coffee that is not lukewarm

Meeting friend to exchange Xmas pressies and have a bite to eat. Unfortunately wasn't serving food but rather than moving elsewhere we decided on settling for tea and cake. I can't remember what it was but sounded exotic sponge sandwich, it was delicious with a lovely tangy cream and a nice pot of tea or two. Friend said hers was delicious but she may do her own review.

Settled down for food here with my partner. As we browsed the menu, member of staff came over to say that they don’t serve food on a Thursday (what?). So don’t go on a Thursday if you want food 🤷‍♀️

Love it, we're not veggies but this is our favourite eatery in town. Great coffee, cake, salads oozing flavour, moussaka was awesome. Always busy, dog friendly, displays local art and lovely toilets. Wish we had one in Staffordshire.

What is there to say about an amazing place like this? I could tell you that it's a beautifully aesthetic place with great artwork and a rustic charm. Or I could tell you that the staff are extremely pleasant and polite whilst being very accommodating of our canine friends. Perhaps, the fact that it is one of the cleanest cafés we've been to, where the slightest touch of the dog warranted our waitress to exclaim "Well, best go wash my hands now" with a beaming smile. But you obviously care about that. What you want to know about is the food! Well, I'll tell you now; as far as vegan/vegetarian food goes, theirs was top of my favourites! The wraps were delicious, very flavourful and exceptionally more-ish. The prices were very fair and we were actually surprised it didn't cost more. So, go here, have some brilliant food, soak in the aesthetics and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere and cheerful staff. Go now, thank me later!

Really imaginative tasty veggie food

We stopped off in Machynlleth for lunch on a trip heading further down south to Cardigan. We walked around and it is very pretty little town, and we saw this place had tables outside and every one had someone eating something that looked good, so we thought we'd give it a try. I tried one of the specials, an aubergine and tamarind stew with a nice salad including some sweet potato, roasted beetroot, walnuts and grapes, some slaw, with a few new potatoes in butter and herbs. My wife had the falafel in a wrap, with a similar salad, and my son had the halloumi fries, with a garlic mayo dip, and we all shared a bowl of chips. My son had a smoothie with raspberry and coconut too. All the food was really good, the chips were amazing, super crunchy on the outside and almost burning hot and fluffy in the middle. My stew was tangy and sweet, and properly filled me up after three and a half hours driving. I had a good iced latte to finish, the bill was very reasonable at £42 including some other soft drinks, and the place was clean with nice relaxing music on softly in the background. I really liked this place, so I expect I'll drop in again when I'm driving this way next time.

Horrible customer service, we were waiting for the menu 15mins, then finally we asked for it ( they gave us one menu for 4 people ). It was almost nothing available on the menu - but they told us about it when we already ordered our food, we just decided to leave.

No customer service, 1 Menu card given for a table of 4 people… The menu itself is very poorly designed. After finally getting to order waitress then decides to inform is that over half of the menu is unavailable … what a joke.

A relax cafe specialising in delicious vegan and vegetarian food. A good range available on the menu; generous portion sizes all for reasonable prices. Service is friendly and welcoming but unhurried. There is a mix of seating throughout what used to be an old 19th century townhouse. Upstairs seating may be too difficult for those with limited mobility.
