Buonissima!!!! My family came over from Italy to visit us. And guess where I took them for dinner? In Three cockspur to combine excellent pizza and great beer from Antur Brewery. Well, it was a success. Zis Giustina's comment was "It's even better then some pizzas I had in Italy. The base it's excellent and you can really tell they use truly genuine ingredients! Bravissimi."

We love Nonna Caterina, the pasta and flavours are just sublime each week. Such good value. We love our sat night treat - thank you Alison

We had a wonderful experience at Chapters. This was a celebratory meal for us and it was a very fitting atmosphere. It felt special without being pretentious. The food was incredible. We both had a vegan menu which is catered for if you let them know in advance and we were really pleased. It’s not uncommon to feel short-changed in these types of places when having vegan options but we didn’t feel like that at all here. It was wonderful to have incredible flavours, to be surprised but also to leave having had just the right amount of food (I can’t stand leaving hungry after a fancy meal). It was lovely to experience a real variety and depth of flavours and every course was absolutely delicious. The Chapters gin was very enjoyable. There were also grown-up non-alcoholic options available. Service was great. Free on street parking nearby in the evenings. We will be back!

We were staying in Hay and Drover offer the only charger for electric vehicles in the town (and it's free). They were generous with their suggestions of using it overnight. They sell maps for local road and MTB rides too, so after we'd been out on one, we stopped by for a coffee and cake. They sell energy bars and gels too, if you're stocking up before or during a ride. A very friendly team!

First and foremost the scenery was exquisite, this little gem under the bridge is the perfect brunch spot. The menu was simple but the chef knows how to combine their foods. Halloumi, Avocado, Bacon, Chilli Jam and Spinach. Phenomenal! The staff were so polite and were genuinely interested in our travel plans and holiday experience. Would 100% recommend if you're looking for a picturesque spot with gorgeous view parallel to it's gorgeous food.

Very disappointing! Made a booking for a July wedding in December. Email communications were slow, however I eventually managed to have a phone conversation where we agreed a booking for the event. In April, after not receiving any communications since beginning of January, I received an email saying that they are removing my booking if I didn’t reply to their email THAT DAY! I replied the following morning saying I still wanted to honour the booking, however I received an email 9 days later informing me I was too late and they had cancelled the reservation! I’ve tried emailing them for more clarification. No response for over a week and not picking up the phone. Very unreliable and untrustworthy . Communications terrible. The only positive is they flaked with over 2 months to the wedding and not the day off. Don’t rely on this company for an important event, don’t trust their word unless you have a signed contract.

Had a tasty lamb and feta burger with rosemary salted chips. It was expensive at £12.5 for the burger and £4.5 for the chips but similar prices to other places in the area.

Very lucky to have this close by. We come here regularly and it never disappoints. The staff are fantastic and very friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. I'm gluten free and vegan and there's always plenty of choices. It has such a great atmosphere and is dog friendly! We would and do recommend this place regularly.

We stayed here with our two dogs for one night prior to attending the Welsh Kennel Club Champ Show. Our room was really well equipped and very nicely laid out, and very clean. We were made to feel very welcome by all the staff. The full english breakfast was spot on, and they went out of their way to ensure it was ready for us promptly as we had to head off to the show. We will definitely stay here again.

This is definitely our favourite cafe in Hay. On our recent week in Hay we went most days for coffee, brunch or lunch. The food is delicious, using locally sourced ingredients as much as possible. The staff are friendly and attentive without being in your face, and it has a lovely feel to the place. It can be a little noisy when full particularly if you are seated in the middle but otherwise what a breath of fresh air. Great room, light and bright looking out over the Castle grounds. Brilliant to be able to take our Cocker Spaniel in too.
