We were staying in Hay and Drover offer the only charger for electric vehicles in the town (and it's free). They were generous with their suggestions of using it overnight. They sell maps for local road and MTB rides too, so after we'd been out on one, we stopped by for a coffee and cake. They sell energy bars and gels too, if you're stocking up before or during a ride. A very friendly team!

25 Bikers called at the cafe by arrangement and we were served fresh food cooked while you wait. There was a good selection of wholesome food available and all top quality. Friendly accommodating staff made us very welcome. Only draw back is its outdoor and you would have to shelter in the cycle shop if it rains. Highly recommended.

Full marks for Anna and the crew for their friendly and efficient catering, and the bike repair services they provided for our group of 7 cycling around Wales. A prompt reply to my telephone query, as promised, re the possibility of leaving 2 cars there for 3 nights, Hay 'twee' and prices it ain't, but if you want hearty and magnificent toasted sandwiches/cakes and drinks, all sensibly priced, then this is the place for you, in a leisurely setting surrounded by a good range of bikes and equipment . However, they surpassed themselves with speedy sourcing of complex electrical gear mechanisms, for our female rider, who had been lucky to escape personal damage after the side of her bike had been deliberately rammed leaving traffic lights, Neath way. Other bike shops had been unable to help at short notice. She hired a bike at normal rates so we could continue our trip, and repairs completed on our return. Drover Cycles and Café crucial to our fantastic team trip. Many thanks.

A great pit stop whilst out for a days cycling - a huge mug of tea and a hunk of moist Barra Brith set me up for the next stage.

Excellent coffee and magnificent bacon butties ... What more can I say. Gorgeous bacon and locally roasted coffees, supported by freshly baked cakes. Al,oust enough energy to cycle back up to Hay Bluff.

Our group of 18 ate here before hiring their bikes. We pre-ordered, all food was served amazingly promptly when we arrived, and the big pots of coffee went down a treat too. The food was superb, staff lovely, and bikes faultless. Thanks Drover Cycles!

After climbing and descending the Gospel pass on a 70 mile cycle loop Drover cycles cafe was just what we needed. I didn't want to use the large expensive cafes in Hay-on-Wye but instead support the local bike store. I'm so glad that we did. The lady in the cafe was very helpful and couldn't do enough to accommodate all our fussy requirements. The bacon roll and coffee that I had was fantastic and great value for money. Everyone else was also happy with the rolls and baguettes we had. We all used the toilet which was also very clean and tidy. We also topped up all our water bottles using the cold water drinks dispenser. I can definitely recommend this cafe to anyone but especially cyclists as it all helps to support the sport we all love. Thank you.

We sat in the peaceful sunshine drinking Fairtrade cafetiere coffee. This is just a simple cafe next to the Drover Cycles shop, where drinks, cakes, light meals and sandwiches are available. Friendly atmosphere and you dont have to be a cyclist to go there. We visited during Hay Festival and found the coffee to be very good value.

Lovely local server. I had the vegetarian curry, which was (surprisingly) brilliant! Homemade, and tasted fresh and well-balanced spices- unusual for a vegetarian meal. Husband had ham, egg and chips.
