Firstly the restaurant isn't even named correctly as its situated in a differently named pub? The roof had a leak and the background atmospheric music is from the local radio station. As for the food, the pasta was overcooked, the lamb was burnt and the pizza was of the quality of a cheap frozen supermarket variety. Seriously overpriced for the quality of food.

Very poor vegetarian breakfast, and very expensive for what I had. They claim to have veggie sausages but it was mashed potato made to look like a sausage. The fried eggs were so hard and the whites rubbery, it was as if they had fried a whole batch and then left them under the light. The only thing that was good was the mushrooms. I paid £9.95 for that and the quality was very poor. It probably cost them about £1.50 to make. It cannot be price the same amount as the meat version. So disappointed. My husbands meat version wasn’t much better, very cheap produce for the price.

We’ve visited The Black Lion on previous holidays for drinks & to watch football matches but we’d never eaten here until our last visit. We luckily booked in for one of the last tables for Sunday lunch & so glad we did as it was very busy and well worth the visit. We both thoroughly enjoyed our beef & chicken roasts which were accompanied by delicious veg, never had such tasty sweet potato mash! The service was quick, staff friendly & views of the sea to die for. Can’t wait to visit again!

Great hotel with a very easy check-in. Wonderful staff who were so helpful. Great views of the bay and parking was easy. The food was plentiful and tasty, with a good menu. The rooms were spotless and breakfast was amazing. I also went back for lunch. I recommend this hotel and thanks to all the wonderful staff

Lovely place on the edge of town and close to car park and loo. Had a fab cheese/tom panini and a coronation chicken baguette. Decent coffee, views and dog-friendly.

The restaurant was terribly dirty. Cob webs were all over and toilets were in a terrible condition. The sharer we ordered came with two items of food missing. There was one waitress that was very friendly and tried to help find the missing food. The bar staff are abrasive and did not appear at all interested in serving. The tables are filthy and there doesn't seem to be any hygiene standards.
