Doesn’t look like in the photos - very run down. The car park was full of litter & inside the pub then just so many flies - very unhygienic. Menu was too big & just falling apart - it made no sense. I just wanted a hot drink because the weather had taken a turn whilst I was out, but they just sat me next to an open door & half an hour later my coffee still hadn’t arrived - there was no sense of heat coming from the kitchen, no oven going, they obviously planned on microwaving my entire meal if they ever got round to taking my order. The meal prices were expensive & my sister was shivering so when they finally came & asked for my order, of which they did not have in stock, & the waitress didn’t suggest anything else I decided to leave. Not delving back through their broken menu, bless my parents they felt bad, but no way was I letting them hand over a penny to these people. My coffee was still nowhere to be seen - the owner Andrea quickly began making them because I said I was leaving & charged my parents for it even though I’d cancelled & left. Italians are supposed to understand food & hospitality but there’s more passion at Mcdonalds - the staff just stood around posing - & I’ve just lost my Italian temper.
Arrived and were told to sit wherever we liked when we asked to sit outside.
Waitress gave us menus, took our drinks order and then returned with our drinks.
She never returned to take our food order, we had to go inside to find her.
Food arrived quite promptly but what a disappointment. Bread was on the stale side and the avocados were hard and tasteless.
We wanted to order a second drink but the waitress never returned to our table.
I used to love it here but I won’t be rushing back unfortunately..
Looked like it would be a cosy pub inside, but it didn't feel inviting at all. Many of the beers were off, and of the few we could have, it tasted like it'd been sitting there for a while. No proper ciders either. Another pub from the Good Beer Guide wherein we don't know why it's there.
I stopped at The Afan Lodge today, while walking my dog as it is a dog friendly venue. I was served by Sam & Fran, whom were absolutely delightful, helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was cosy and the views beautiful on this sunny day. I had a pub lunch, which was amazing too! A recommended stop off if you are in the area 💗
impromptu lunch on Saturday, very friendly welcome, relaxed chilled vibe but with prompt friendly service, extensive food and drinks menu with specials of day , main menu or a special lunch menu. Beef Wellington was my firm favourite 👌lovely bar restaurant and garden area.
I’m not one for leaving for leaving reviews but our Sunday roast is more than deserving of one. We had the rib of roast beef and it was the best roast we have ever eaten. It tasted like a home cooked roast. We had more than enough beef which we almost struggled to finish. The veg was cooked perfect and it was out on our table pretty quickly. Nice selection of drinks and very friendly staff. Price was surprisingly reasonable, we’ve paid alot more for a lot less quality. We will be back. Best roast in Wales.

Friendly, happy staff at reception. A warm welcome much appreciated. Generous sized clean room with views of the Brecon Beacons. Breakfast was top class.
Lot 11 has a bright, crisp atmosphere - everything is clean and light. We went in for Saturday brunch and I had the falafel salad which was enough for 2 people to share. We plan on returning and doing exactly that! We were so stuffed, we could not indulge in the Victorian Sponge so we are just going to have to go back. Their flat white was rich and thick - just the way I like it.
They have many vegetarian and gluten free options.
The servers were all friendly and attentive, the food came quickly, and was delicious!
As I said, we plan on going back during our stay here in Wrexham.
Great pub. Good drinks on tap. Not had food here but will try one day. Accepts dogs in bar Area only. Lovely location of Llanwunno. Great friendly staff
