Well myself and my partner cane for the weekend to go to Hay on Wye and meet some friends. We arrived at the hotel at 5.30 we saw the scaffolding from the building work they had emailed us about, we parked went in to check in. We checked in and after we were given our room keys the receptionist said that they were having problems with the TV signal and that some channels weren’t working. But this turned out to be all the channels. Plus when we asked about booking a table next door the restaurant we were told no as half the lights in the middle of it were not working. This seemed to be a lie as when we were going out all the lights were on in the pub so we are not sure why that was said. Oh and the lift was out of order as well. I wouldn’t recommend to stay here at the moment given what is going on.

Clean, smelt nice on entry to room. Staff was polite. Could have done with a couple more towels but not essential. The shower curtain needed a washing machine wash as it smelt damp. Location was convenient as I craved mcdonalds and only had to walk out the building to get it. Simple things I guess lol.

It's what you would expect from a premier inn room, clean and tidy. BUT there is no phone signal and the WiFi is awful and very frustrating. I stayed here for 2 week and never had my room replenished once even though I asked on a few occasions. Not where you want to be stuck with no WiFi or Signal, very disappointed

Standard Premier Inn room quality, comfortable and function. But WiFi has been down at this hotel for MONTHS. I stayed Jun 24 and again Nov 24 and the SAME SIGNS about broken WiFi are still up! Avoid if you need WiFi connection.

Terrible service from this particular branch of premier inn. We booked a triple room, we phoned months in advance to confirm 3 adults were able to sleep in the room. When we arrived the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful. We were told that Infact only 2 of us would be allowed to stay in the room. They offered no solution or assistance. Instead they became hostile and abrasive. The room had plenty of space for 3 adults. A double bed and a sofabed for 1. Their policy is stupid and unhelpful. And contradictory to the phone call we made months earlier. In full they made us feel unwelcome and unhappy, would not recommend.

Minimalist decor! Bathroom needs updating. Not value for money given the rate paid. Free WiFi connected but has no internet!

Honestly couldn't recommend staying here based on poor service and timeliness to respond to complaints. Did not make disabled/older family members feel safe and well taken care of during fire alarm (only one staff member on), and also didn't really apologise for that after the fact...Had to issue a refund for quality of stay and service provided after a lot of back and forth.

Lovely comfy, clean room and bathroom. Warm welcome on arrival, very friendly and helpful staff. Only downside was the Brewers Fayre, we arrived for breakfast at 10.45 (closes at 11( to be told they stop serving at 10.40!?.. not ideal, & not a friendly chap. Otherwise a great stay

Had an eve meal here consisting of duck starter, and beef main course. Two slices duck were half inch thick and tough as old boots, so we struggled through one slice. Two thinner slices would have been preferable. As for the beef, it was way over cooked and was more like pulled beef than a piece. The yorkshire pud was massive and as crispy as the beef should have been. However not all bad news, the staff were excellent and served the food and drinks very well and on time. Thank you.

I have been to Indian Empire quite a few times now but only recently they have started doing a buffet 7 days a week in the restaurant as well as being able to order from the main menu. I gave the buffet a try this time and it was delicious! So many great curry’s to choose from as well as a selection of side dishes. I always tend to get a bit nervous with buffets as they can often feel unclean but not at Indian Empire, it was spotless! The staff were in and out cleaning the space and replenishing the dishes! The food was nice and hot inside the metal containers. We also ordered Roar beer from the draught to compliment the food! 🥘 🍺

This is an excellent drive through, the best in a whole set of Costas along the heads of the valley road. Caitlin is a superb manager who is very accommodating and amenable in the way she looks after her customers. I enjoy personal service as a long standing customer. Thank you. Gordon
