Fantástica comida con un servicio excelente, educado y atento. Un ambiente acogedor y relajante y porciones generosas. Sin duda volveremos a comer allí en nuestra próxima visita.
Wonderful dinner in cozy setting. Chicken with forestiere sauce and chicken with blue cheese sauce cooked to perfection and served with fantastic roasted potatoes. A side of sautés carrots and zucchini were wonderful. Will return. Friendly service, reasonable pricing.
I'm still thinking about the sardines and the curry I ate: it was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to eat fish of high quality and high quality cuisine.
Lovely restaurant I’ve visited many times . BUT this time I had a black pudding roll. It was mushy and not nice . Eddie Richie’s black pudding is much nicer . I know it’s a matter of taste but the one you use isn’t as nice . Your restaurant is lovely and well run with lovely staff and the only thing I didn’t like is the afore mentioned black pudding. We met up with friends and family here today for my husband’s birthday. It was delicious! Our friend said they were the best scallops she has eaten. The oysters were also superb! Thankyou for a chilled, friendly afternoon. It was fab.
Very nice stylish and relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff, not stuffy. Starters we ordered ham hock terrine and black pudding and potato terrine, both delicious but our favourite was definitely the ham terrine with delicious piccilli, poached egg on black pudding terrine was cooked to perfection but could have done with more black pudding. Mains my hubby had the venison stew whilst I had a the lamb kofta starter, I had to stop my husband for licking his plate clean and he said he would have ordered a bowl of the stew gravy for dessert! My kofta was lovely, tender and flavoursome. Desserts wow! My baked Alaska was devine! And hubby’s sticky toffee pudding was tasty but could have done with a bit of fruit to cut through the sweetness. All in all a great meal and staff always there when needed and very friendly, well done folks, we will be back
One of the most authentic and amazing Indian meals I’ve had (speaking as an Indian myself). The butter chicken was incredible and as was the naan. Not only was the food stunning but the service was lovely - such a wonderful family business.
Cracker wee spot just out of the way enough to not bustle like the other tourist traps! Great beer selection! Could do with some snacks but that from a boozy muncher lol! Staff super engaging and knowledgeable!
It’s been exactly ten years since I was last here, but the return was well worth the effort.
I booked online as early as I could on a Tuesday evening and was amazed the find the place already rammed. This is a good sign.
The service was rapid and friendly, the food magnificent. The disadvantage of being alone is that you have to restrain your choice from the impressive menu, but I’d suggest that whatever you choose will impress you.
Not over-priced by the end and, hopefully, it won’t be another decade before I can have the excuse to eat here again.
disappointed, the place is lovely but no ambience at all/ staff were constantly at the table trying to take plates away too soon and asking if you want another drink felt very hurried. also told we had to be out by certain time as we had not booked, food was not tasty tandoori chicken was dry and both different sauces were the same/ mixed grill was dry and nan too thick
This was a disappointment for my 25th birthday last night. 2 of our party ordered a bottle of wine, which, after asking for numerous times and being told, 'it's just coming' we were eventually told it was sitting at the bar (??) This is not a great standard. Wine should be kept on the table. Anyone could have taken that for themselves or thrown it away if they assumed it was left over. Foccacia bread, granted was ordered late as we forgot, but never appeared despite again asking and being told the same answer as the wine. We ended up just saying to take this off as it hadn't arrived after the main had finished. The food was good quality. However, the portions inconsistent.. when you compare it with competitors who offer a lot bigger portions at the same price point it's not great. When we asked for the bill, we realised that my dad, who was driving, was given an alcoholic beer when he said for a non-alcoholic version. The staff did kindly take this off our bill for us and gave us some cake as an apology, which was again nice of them, but perhaps something for the restaurant to be careful of in future. The staff themselves were friendly it's just the experience overall wasn't what I had hoped given the way people hype this place up.
I hope the restaurant is able to take this feedback on board to improve the experience for others.
