Had a lovely dinner with my daughter. Lovely service, great food. Just really pleasant evening watching a small team of staff cook and serve our meal. Good wine, company and lovely end to the day. Thank you

Came in mid afternoon on a Wednesday and had a great experience. Seafood was cooked perfect and fresh. Had the scallops, fritters, sole and sea trout . All was fantastic. Service was really good even though only one server was working. Only thing was it’s a small dining room and next table was loud but nothing they can do about that

Monkfish was cooked to perfection. It's quite a small venue so tables are very close to one another. Would I go back? No because I think leaving a tip should be discretionary. I don't charge my customers 10% extra because I've done my job to a satisfactory level.

Seafood restaurant in Leith Harbour. The quality of the product is very good. The service was great since our countrymen from Albacete and Murcia took care of us, helping us with everything we needed.

My experience at the seafood restaurant was truly enjoyable. The scallops for starters were exceptionally tender, setting a high standard for the meal. The fish and chips featuring monkfish were delightful, with the fish cooked to perfection. However, the only downside was the thinly cut fries; although tasty, they became challenging to enjoy as they were too thin. Despite this, the impeccable lunch service and overall quality of the dishes made it a memorable dining experience.

Delicious modern seafood restaurant in the lovely neighborhood of Leith. We could taste that everything was super fresh and made with great care. Good choice of wine as well. The staff was super friendly and we had the best dinner of our holidays here. We'll make sure to come back next time we're in Edinburgh!

Not having booked managed to get a table as someone cancelled. Good food and service. A bit pricey for the size of portions, particularly sides but food was tasty.

Was brought here by a local friend and couldn’t be more impressed! First of all, the staff welcomed us and were very friendly. Started with the trout salad, fish soup, blue cheese/walnut/pear, then had the sea bass, mussels, crab burger, and coconut curry. The trout salad had a Thai nam jim (dipping sauce) which elevated the dish and made it so flavour some, as it did to the sea bass. The curry was hearty, and crab burger also was great. The star was, ofcourse, the mussels dipped in a garlicky sauce. I’m glad we finished off with desserts because every bite of every dish was phenomenal -sticky toffee pudding, basque cheesecake and crème brûlée! Silvia, the waitress, did an excellent job and was incredibly friendly. ❤️🫶🏽

Very exceptional restaurant in an area with a number of restaurants otherwise propped up with tourist interest. House white is delicious and compliments the meals nicely. Fish soup is very memorable. Great find. Would be five stars had my scarf not gone missing in coat check.

Definitely add this stop to your list of eats. Despite having missed our reservation window, we were seated immediately. Thank you! I ordered the mussel, and I was not disappointed. They were perfectly cooked, and the broth was amazing. The servers were friendly and attentive without interrupting. I ordered the large, which was generous portion.

- Decent value for money - The service was weird. I didn’t feel welcome. First they were slow at taking orders. Then took a while to bring the starters, then rushed us to finish. They also kept taking away plates early. - The fish platter as a starter was nice for two people. Mains weren’t needed. - The bread basket was bad. Maybe order some veg as a side.

Absolutely brilliant! From the variety of top-notch dishes on offer, to the fantastic atmosphere and the warm, helpful, efficient, knowledgeable and professional service - I'd definitely recommend this restaurant

Food and service excellent. Considering this is a seafood restaurant and my wife is vegetarian who does not eat seafood, they have a really good vegetarian menu that is for vegetarians not vegans who only want things that look and taste like meat or fish but aren't.

I found Fishers to be decidedly average. The main meal was quite bland although the starter was OK. The staff like to loudly throw bottles in recycling while people are eating. The waitresses lean over you when sorting the table. There's a mandatory service charge. Tables are positioned right by the door and toilets. We won't be returning.

Excellent restaurant de poissons et fruits de mer. Plats bien exécutés avec des produits de première fraîcheur. Une carte des vins adaptée. Personnel discret et prévenant. La carte permet un choix de plats plus ou moins sophistiqués à des tarifs allant de abordable à plus coûteux en fonction des envies et des moyens.

Best seafood restaurant of my life across 5 continents. For seafood prepared the Western way I cannot imagine it being better. For Americans, I lived in Baltimore for 5 years for context.

Went with my brother for a drink, we ended up having oysters and lobster. Wonderful oysters and the best lobster of my life. Loved the company of the Italian waiter Silvia!

We ordered mussels, which were ok. After the mussels we ordered some seafood-pasta and a seatrout. Unfortunately the pasta was the worst we've ever tasted (we are Italians). The waitress noticed that I barely ate, so she came to me and asked if everything was ok and I told her that I was not very happy with the pasta. She agreed with me, was very friendly and I had the opportunity to change my meal. So we both had the seatrout wich was nice. Altough I have to say that we're used way higher standards. I mean considering how the restaurant is called, it's more than obvious that seafood should be their strong point. We were a little bit disappointed that they still made us pay 10% tip. I mean ok the waitress was nice but the food was not that much special so I don't know.

The staff are lovely, sadly the food is a mixed bag. Oysters were good and the chilled seafood platter was apparently a good dish too. Sad, grey, steak. With the surf and turf. Looked almost microwaved but it was apparently pan-fried. Swimming in what looked like the cows tears. The chorizo in the seafood pasta was over cooked and very unpleasant. Why would you fry thin disks of chorizo until they were as tough and dry as plastic? The flavor was ruined, the texture was terrible. Spicy, bland, poorly integrated. Bit of a shambles that dish. Mussels were very good. If you stick with just seafood, you'll probably be fine.

Excellent meal served up by the small, friendly team - the spiced apple pavlova is such a brilliant idea, it’s a wonder nobody else thought of it. The fish soup was suitably reviving on a dreich evening and the sea bass with samphire, capers and burnt leek tzatziki was delicious.

This was unfortunately a disappointing experience, though the service was good. We live nearby and walk by every day, finally deciding to try it out because the enticing smells from outside were irresistible! However, the pasta dish lacked flavor and was DRENCHED in liquid; literally, half the plate/bowl was filled with water. The value for the price simply wasn't there. In contrast, their sister restaurant next door, The Shore Bar & Restaurant, was outstanding. We absolutely loved it; the fish and chips were among the best we've had, and the duck liver was amazing—all at a fraction of the cost at Fishers

Waitress was actually very rude. Acted like were bothering her and didn't want to wait on us. Soups were good. Had researched this place and was looking forward to eating here. Our treatment ruined our experience.

Fisch sehr gut und mit innovativen Saucen serviert. Der Käsekuchen war verbrannt. Eine Kellnerin war sehr freundlich, die andere, die die Kasse unter sich hatte, machte die ganze Zeit ein griesgrämiges Gesicht zum Unwohl fühlen.

Quiet and cozy little place, the way I like it. Flavours are superb, served hot and succulent, staff are friendly, the price is reflective of the upper level quality but worth it . Perfect place to lunch

We have been to Fishers in Leith before and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Not so much this time for me though. My wife started with Fish Soup and I had the Flash Fried Squid with Asian Sesame Salad, peanuts etc. The fish soup was apparently very nice but the squid was so overpowered by the intense flavours of the salad, it could have been battered elastic bands I was eating. Not good! My wife opted for Sea Trout for mains and I had Sea Bass both very acceptable. The Tzatziki served with the Sea Bass was absolutely delicious. This is one of the better seafood restaurants in Edinburgh so my starter was particularly disappointing. However, I'm guessing they can be forgiven for one error.

Came here for lunch on a Sunday. We didn't book but luckily got a table near the entrance. Seafood platter here was more smoked fishes than shellfish. Overall food was great, we enjoyed it.

Les moules à la sauce à l'ail à ne pas manquer. Absolument délicieux dans un endroit très sympa au bord de l'eau. Et tout cela dans des prix raisonnables et serveuses agréables....la cerise...le brunie.....

Husband enjoyed his meal. I am vegetarian but went with him because the sample menu online was very good. Got there and was given a much shorter menu. 2 salad starters. Mains were spaghetti with tomatoes, vegetable katsu curry or an omelette. Omlette was ok but nothing special. Vegetable side was very small portion. I do appreciate that this a fish restaurant but don't put a longer more exciting sample vegetarian menu online and then produce something so disappointing.

Fantastic atmosphere, with great soul music as a background. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, with a good sense of humour. To top it off, the food was first class.

Families with children beware! We choose the Fisher's in Leith because of the good seafood reviews, but also because they featured Mac 'n Cheese (for our son, who doesn't like seafood) on the internet menu. Turned out it's only a sample menu on the internet and Mac 'n Cheese wasn't on the actual menu. We finally managed to get a pasta dish without the seafood originally in the menu, still had to pay the full price. Part of the staff was rather unfriendly, not what we had experienced in Scotland so far. The food is good, but in this class of restaurant we'd expect better and friendlier service.

The mussels were so fresh we ate so much. Scallops were in the sour side though. a bit on the pricey side.. don't go here if you want to get yourselves full thoughh.. this place focuses on quality over quantity

Really lovely bistro restaurant in a picturesque setting in Leith. I had the whole lobster, which was really delicious. Excellent service and a very good wine list too.

the best seafood resto in edinburgh! i have been here twice and it always surprises me with their good food and excellent services. yesterday, i ordered pasta, but i did not aware about one of the ingredients in it, which made me did not eat a bite due to dietary restriction. they realized that I did not eat my pasta, therefore they proactively asked and offered me another pasta without one of the ingredients. they were very considerate and thoughtful. absolutely will come back here

The best food in town , fresh oyster, lobster, and other seafood. Dessert choc pudding is so tasty. Need to book as we are Walk in then we get no view table.

We came here for fresh seafood so we tried the platter and other dishes. However, the seafood is all over-seasoned with sour and salty taste. To be fair the oyster is good. The service is not in the standard though. We’re not feeling comfortable with the staffs’ straight tone and one of them even threw the fork on table.

C’est la deuxième fois que je viens chez Fishers. J’apprécie l’ambiance de ce restaurant portuaire et la fraîcheur des aliments. J’ai testé cette fois-ci leur plateau de fruits de mer. Les poissons fumés étaient très bons, tout comme l’huître et les crevettes. J’ai accompagné mon plat d’une bière locale : une Leith Lager que je recommande également !

Parfait Je conseille le lobster à l’ail avec les frites et les moules à partager en entrée. Un vrai régal !!!!

Fishers was here way before Leith tried to turn into a Brittania-centered Disney, and it continues to serve some of the best seafood I have ever had. Fabulous, fresh fish, lovingly and expertly prepared. I used to bring parents here when I was an undergrad 30 years ago, and I had a plaice meunier last week that almost made me cry. They have a beautiful restaurant right on the water. I love them.

La comida no está mal, aunque los espaguettis bañados en caldo y un poco sosos, el pescado del día insípido, la hamburguesa de cangrejo estaba buena y los mejillones lo que más nos gustó, el postre, tarta de queso y brownie no merece. Lo peor, que en el ticket venía una propina de 35 escrita a boli, si es algo oficial como en otros restaurantes, ya sale el el ticket, nos resultó sospechoso y eso no nos gustó

Cuisine fine et copieuse à porter de budget moyen. Un service aux petits oignons ,ex : de l'eau en carafe dès que nous avons été placé. Réservation recommandée. Une ambiance décontracté mais qui n'empêche pas un service rapide. Le meilleur restaurant de poisson que nous avons fait en Écosse (et depuis longtemps pour nous).

Horrendous experience at Fishers with food. Ok, soup was decent but the main course was an absolutely joke. Difficult to understand why in many restaurants in Scotland sea food and fish is so bad. Dessert was poor too. On the positive side, helpful and nice staff and nice restaurant! Never again

After a long walk along the river from Edinburgh to Leith, found this fabulous restaurant. Had drinks outside in the sun, then delicious meal inside. Great staff and fabulous music. Highly recommended.

My wife booked this restaurant for a birthday meal and the food was amazing, The service was quick, hot and full of amazing flavour. I am not normally a fish curry fan but my fish was lovely, and maybe I will become a convert. It's a very small restaurant with an interesting feel. Our waitress was very nice.
