Gutted because this was my favourite chippy in Edinburgh but it appears to have closed. Cannot find a listing for it anymore on JustEat etc and was shut last time I went past.

No puedo decir cómo contento estoy! :)

Eaten here a number of times and always get the same great tasting food. Deep fried food without the grease. Crispy, fluffy chips and beautiful lightly battered cod are always a delight. Fast service as well and most things are prepared freshly.

Ragazzi molto simpatici e disponibili.

I've been a fan of tail end for a while and when I saw finnans it didn't disappoint. The fish was fresh and really tasty( haddock and monk) and the chips and mushy peas were excellent as well. Good friendly service too

Undoubtedly the best Fish and Chips in the Southside, and probably the best I've ever had. Crisp light batter, fresh fish and great chips. They also have interesting specials on every day which make a change from your usual haddock or cod paradigm. Highly recommended.

I'm a genuine connoisseur of chip shops. I can navigate Scotland by good chip shops. In Central Edinburgh I've tried them all. Since L'Aquila Bianca closed I've been trying to find one that equalled it - and I have. The fish is *always* freshly cooked and the chips are just right for me. Option of lemon on the fish and you are always offered options on chips and fish (some places just assume you want salt and sauce on both). Nice tartare sauce and decent mushy peas. There are loads of options on fresh fish but I go for the classic haddock.Leagues ahead of the rest.

Lovely alternatives to the classic deep fried haddock. Grilled and fried cod, haddock sea bass and sole. Great chips too. Good, clean and friendly place. I'll definitely be back!!

Charming staff, great ambiance and really wonderful food. We had a great evening here on the first night of holiday to Edinburgh, so much so, we returned for another excellent meal on the Sunday. Cadiz is definitely on our list for our next trip to Edinburgh and highly recommended.

We visited Dulse for a graduation celebration meal and from start to finish everything was perfect! We ordered from the A La carte menu and every single dish we had was stunning! I can’t even pick one stand out dish as everything from the crab apple hot sauce served with the oysters to the dessert wine we finished the meal with was 10/10. Our servers were lovely, very efficient and perfectly present without being overbearing so we felt very well looked after. They also were able to help with any queries we had and recommended certain wines etc so were definitely very knowledgeable on the menu. As a little random extra bonus the hand soap and lotion in the ladies toilet was a real treat also! Cannot fault our meal at all, definitely one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Edinburgh and we will definitely be back!

My partner and I visited The Pepperpot with a couple of family members for Sunday lunch. We took advantage of the three-course set lunch (priced at £20.95) which had a good choice of roast meat, fish, and vegetarian dishes included

Dear Fishers! I visited your restaurant recently and overall, I was really happy: the view is amazing, the atmosphere is cozy, and the food is not bad! But there’s a little detail I just have to mention: napkins. Yes, those! One napkin per person – I get the minimalism, but once I used my napkin, my cutlery ended up… on the table. I hope it was clean because that was a bit unexpected! Another small thing – the dirty dishes stayed on the table for quite a while, even as I continued chatting with my guests. Perhaps your staff simply enjoyed listening to our conversation in a language other than English and chose not to interrupt – if that's the case, thank you for that! :) Overall, everything was awesome! But I still couldn’t quite figure out – are you a bistro or a restaurant? Online, you're listed as a restaurant, but your emails say bistro. Best regards, your happy (and slightly surprised) guest.
