A lovely local cafe, friendly and welcoming plus dog friendly. Small but very well done menu all made to order, sandwiches toasties and mains. Nice tea and coffee selection with scones and other tasty treats. Vegan and diary free available. If in the area again definitely coming back and will 'push Liz' s buttons '

We always visit Portmahomack on our annual holiday in the Highlands and have enjoyed several visits to the cafe. We found out last year that the cafe had changed hands and have visited again this year. Friendly staff and excellent food so still deserving of 5 stars.

So accommodating. Wonderful staff. Food perfect. Can't speak highly enough of the restaurant. The chicken with peppercorn sauce and the chicken with Diane sauce were so tasty.

Thank you for catering so well for gluten free. Gluten free cones and a lot of effort to avoid cross contamination. Done with a smile and no problem. Tubs don't cut it really (usual option for us gluten free folks) so to leave with a cone and a smile, just like other people, is fabulous.

Lovely little cafe, with friendly and helpful staff and a great selection of food. It was a perfect place to meet friends from Rome and the Netherlands. Our group ordered a wide variety of choices from the menu including the soup, Scottish breakfast, scrambled eggs and salmon, smoothies, waffles, carrot cake and tea - all delicious. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the owl cushions very comfy. You could miss it walking by, but well worth searching it out and popping in. It extends a way back - a bit of a tardis for seating.

This bistro is 1.5 miles from the East end of Princes St. On the bus route up North & South bridge to Newington (about 10 minutes). This is small, friendly, elegant restaurant. The owner is so kind and welcoming. As local residents we love coming here as the quality of the ingredients and cooking is superb. It’s not your typical Indian menu. Dishes we enjoy are Crispy fried okra, Dirty Samosa chat, Prawn Malabar, Ghee roast chicken and Lal mas. They also serve a Tasting Menu. Vegetarian/Vegans also catered for. A small wine list. Would love to see a Tapss style evening event as their amuse bouche was outstanding.

I've heard amazing things about this place from soooo many people and I couldn't agree more after finally visiting myself. The place was VERY busy. But I know this is a daily occurrence. It's popular because it does everything well and they handle how busy it is well. Service was amazing from everyone. Every person that served us did so with a smile and so efficiently. The food was so hot and fresh. The coffees were tasty and beautiful. Will 100% go back. These guys know what they're doing! 10/10.

We came across Robin's Nest by chance and were greeted in a warm friendly manner. I am on a Dairy Free Diet and the menu catered for all my needs. When we ordered coffee we were given an alternative choice of milks. The cakes were home made and delicious. I would highly. recommend this tea room

We had the vegetable soup with cheese and seaweed scone. Both were fantastic and excellent value. Wondered why everything else on the menu was very expensive.

Our fourth year coming here and cannot wait to be in the area again to visit . Our holidays to Skye are not complete without a visit to this beautiful little tearoom. Pumpkin soup and a cheesecake , washed down with the best coffee on Skye. All whilst soaking in the majesty of Bla Bheinn and Loch Slappin. Fabulous hosts , fabulous food , fabulous views . What more could you ask for ?

Wonderful dinner in this small local restaurant. The food is absolutely gorgeous. We started with Cullen skink, the best I have had! I had sea bream for my main course; incredibly fresh and well cooked, and my husband had venison which was stunning. No room for dessert as the portion sizes are HUGE! This fab place is dog friendly and it’s also BYO (only £3 corkage). You must try if you’re in the area, and definitely book ahead, I get the impression that such a quality restaurant as this is always full!
