Pancake Barn Tearoom in Highland

I went there for lunch with my husband, daughter and two friends. The garden is gorgeous, the barn is cosy and imaculate, with an amazing view over Little Loch Broom and with a wooden fire. Linda and Mike were extremely friendly. The pancakes were delicious, big portions and they all arrived at the same time. The chocolates were scruptious and they had some toys and colouring for our 5 year-old. We will definitely cine back!

My wife and I visited the Pancake Barn for the first time today. Finally. I’ve been trying to get here for ages but due to their limited off season opening hours, and my fleeting visits to the area, I never managed. Until today It was worth the wait! I had my first ever white chocolate hot chocolate and it was amazing. I paired that with a Crofters Delight - a double helping of pancakes filled with sausage, cheese, tomatoes and I swapped the spinach for onion because, well you gotta have onion! My wife went for a Cadbury Durnamuck hot chocolate and strawberry and jam wedding pancakes. We both agreed our choices were excellent. Add to this that the place is spotlessly clean, the owners Linda and Mike are welcoming, accommodating and super friendly. The service was fast, and efficient, the log fire a welcoming sight on an autumn day, and our visit was spot on. We would and will return. I would recommend

My recent visit was arranged by friends who have visited several times. We were not disappointed. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and we will definitely be back. I can highly recommend it.

We are so lucky to have the Pancake Barn Tea Room on our doorstep and always take our visitors over to sample the delights. I had to try the new Ruby Master Piece and it was utterly divine. Highly recommended tea room surrounded by beautiful scenery. The food is delicious and the ambience is cosy and relaxed. Our visitors particularly enjoyed Mike's eclectic background soundtrack 👌 😀

Lovely welcome on arrival form owners Mike and Linda table that was booked was read for us. The place is spotless We were given plenty time to study the menu and make choices there is something for everyone on here. A very relaxed atmosphere and soft music in back ground and beautiful views There is seating inside and outside There were woodpeckers and tree creepers in the small wood which was lovely to see Tables are nicely spaced out so you can enjoy the experience in peace

Visited today after seeing great reviews on Facebook. Absolutely amazing food and wonderful coffees and hot chocolates in a stunning location! The pancakes are literally to die for! Prepare for a feast of the senses! The lovely Belgian couple who run the restaurant are so lovely and talented with their food & beverage creations!

This is by far the best place I've ever eaten on one of many west coast holidays. My family and I have stayed in Laide every year since I was a baby so I'm very experienced with the restaurants and café's nearby. This is the best food I've eaten, not just in the West coast, but in the whole Highlands. An amazing hidden gem. I had no idea it was there and once we found it I'd only wish we'd spent the whole holiday going there! I had the Durnamuk Mess, my brother had a strawberry pancake and my partner had the highlander. The attention to detail is amazing and you can tell the owners have a great passion for good food. My brother and I also had the Dark hot chocolate "master piece". Again, delicious. We came back the next day on our way back home where they were just as welcoming. They even gave us a highchair that our 4 month old boy was able to sit in. Can't wait for next year so we can come back.

The food was possibly the most delicious thing I've eaten in the northwest Highlands. To quote one of my fellow diners, "It's so good it makes me want to weep". Everything was tastefully done, the ambiance was exceptional, with a beautiful setting of the mountains outside. It was a very relaxing experience and I definitely hope to come again.

My wife and I had the pleasure of being served, soup, pancake and coffee at this charming pancake barn on 14th., July, 2022. Never having been to a pancake barn we weren't sure what to expect but Mike and Linda's friendly welcome put us at ease immediately on arrival. We are staying nearby so the idea that someone else might prepare a meal was tempting and we were not disappointed. This place is not a full restaurant so don't expect a full menu. It's a pancake barn and the menu is based on just that - pancakes. There is, of course, soup of the day and an extensive array of coffees to suit all tastes. The place is approachable by car and has its own dedicated car park with a short walk to the barn. For those with mobility problems the main gate can be opened remotely by the owners using the mobile number clearly displayed on the gate and cars can be driven close to the barn to drop off such visitors. The building is a modern, wooden construction barn and seats 11 persons plus a deep sofa for waiting. There are seats and tables outside but the weather this week hasn't been too kind in Durnamuck but, should it allow, the views from the croft up and down Little Loch Broom are superb. The kitchen is 'en suite' and one can see your pancakes being prepared should you wish. There is also a toilet inside the barn. It's a cosy place and well worth a visit whether you are on your own or with your family. Since there are only a few seats within the barn it is recommended that one books ahead. You will not be disappointed.

We are from Canada and this is one of the best pancakes we had. The soup was excellent and we had personalized service from the owners.

We came for some food before heading off back home and it was so lovely! A great spot, cosy, and amazing pancakes, The hosts couldn’t have been more friendly and gracious during our visit, we will definitely be back and 100% recommend this as a must on your travels!

We stopped by for a lunch and had a sweet and savoury pancake outside in the garden. The owners are great people with an excellent taste for pancakes.

First visit of the year, and so good to see our wonderful friends Mike and Linda - fantastic hosts as always. The Pancake Barn Tearoom is visited by many locals, which is an indication of the very high standard and choice of food available. Booking ahead is advised as it’s always busy. I would recommend the Crofters and Velocipede pancakes, but that just me. Go and try it for yourselves. An essential visit when in the area.

We were staying along the road and visited mid afternoon for pancakes which were all very good. Coffee and hot chocolate was also very nice. Owners were friendly. The location is superb and we were able to sit outside wire views of Little Loch Broom.
