Great to have a lovely local place to eat. Staff and prices are fab. Have eaten there a few times and recommend the mac and cheese and sticky toffee pudding. All homemade.

They've changed the satay sauce recipe by adding curry to it. It now basically tastes like a run of the mill curry sauce to the point you couldn't tell the difference between chicken satay and chicken curry. Shame really as it's one of the better takeaways in Carluke but I'll need to look elsewhere now as I don't like the taste of their new satay dishes.

Recent refurb. What you would expect from a local pub.

It’s been over two hours and still no delivery. Asked for some money back and got the reply "We're really sorry your order wasn't delivered on time. Our restaurant was busier than we expected.” After two hours decided to phone the restaurant and was met with a cheeky response from staff claiming they’d tried to deliver and no one answered the door. Didn’t bother to even try to contact us, claimed they’d tried phoned but haven’t get a single missed call - absolutely abysmal service.

I've been ordering from this restaurant for a while (several years) and it's always been consistently good. The order I got tonight was extremely disappointing. The pilau rice was congealed into a tasteless mush, the naan was soggy. The curry itself was okay but nothing to write home about.

Hi Placed order online, alone with fish, and sausage suppers. We ordered a large kebab and salad with chilli sauce. Order arrive minus salad and sauce after 40mins and repeated calls we were handed refund for kebab and had to return cold kebab! Great customer service..NOT ! As we usually order once a week really disappointed!

Everyone loves a coffee shop in a garden centre right? Yes, but the experience at Silverbirch is definitely elevated. For a start, the interior shop is a vibe in itself and I always leave with a few extra candles and diffusers, I’ve been a few times and it’s always great to get some seasonal inspiration. The coffee shop is perfect for lunch, with a wide range of cakes and bakes and savoury snacks too. Highly recommend the ham, goats cheese and sundried tomato sourdough - and of course, a delicious slice of cake! Always a great experience and the staff are really friendly too. Great local spot, or worth travelling to from Glasgow etc.

Lovely lunch here. I had never been here before and we did not book in advance, thus the restaurant knew nothing about my food intolerances. I had a fairly good choice of food from the menu despite being gluten and cow’s dairy intolerant ( I have several others). The farmhouse salad I had was huge and really tasty. My partner said the Cullen skink and Burger he had for his main (also huge) were really good. The staff dealt with the intolerance issue with a problem and also offered me gluten free chips. Well done. All in a lovely lunch. We will return. Thank you.

I placed an online order at 5.14pm on Friday 24th January, I received this order at 6pm and was missing part of it. I contacted at 6.02pm and was told I would get the order. I then called at 6.55pm and the order still hadn’t been paid, I then called again at 7.34 and again the order still hadn’t been made. I then called for a third time at 8.14 to be again told the order still wasn’t ready. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he wasn’t speaking to anyone due to already having multiple complaints. Not professional at all and an absolute joke. I have now had to cancel my order which has already been fully paid for and not offered as much as a refund.

Food was cold and was late by an hour my break was only half an hour so never even got to eat the food shocking

Worst take away ever.3 hours of waiting . All they want is your money and churn out dodgy food. Waits 3 HOURS (totally unacceptable) . Had a calm discussion but he barred me for his terrible service and attitude. Won’t be back. Cold and hard food
