Sahara Takeaway in South Lanarkshire

I placed an online order at 5.14pm on Friday 24th January, I received this order at 6pm and was missing part of it. I contacted at 6.02pm and was told I would get the order. I then called at 6.55pm and the order still hadn’t been paid, I then called again at 7.34 and again the order still hadn’t been made. I then called for a third time at 8.14 to be again told the order still wasn’t ready. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he wasn’t speaking to anyone due to already having multiple complaints. Not professional at all and an absolute joke. I have now had to cancel my order which has already been fully paid for and not offered as much as a refund.

Normally have no issues with Sahara, however last night was a completely different story.....meal arrived within timescale stated, however was stone cold on arrival, chips were soggy and inedible, had to re heat calzone and pakora in microwave, salad is normally a good mix of lettuce, onion and tomato, however last night was very soggy lettuce

Food is always consistent & tasty! Good friendly service.

Best curries I have eaten just very good no mater what you order

Best curry, kebabs and pizza in town.

First time in Sahara, ordered Balti, Kebab, Pizza, Yumni Kebab. The staff was friendly and we could chat with them for ages! the food was exceptional, probably the best we had so far. Everything fresh, hot and super tasty. We have been still eating when we thought we couldn't anymore, so good :) thank you so much ❤️

People are quick to criticise takeaways but Sahara has become unbelievably consistent. Loads of new competition in the area but their curries are best around and meal deal is brilliant value. Best kebab going and chili sauce has improved massively. Delivery is always really quick as well. Keep up the great work

Was in for some food last night and tried to pay with a bank card and was told cash only after 10pm very strange made up rule staff very cheeky about it and told me not to come back which I had already decided that myself plenty of other better places in Carluke

Cheeky on the phone when they messed up the order when we stated clearly on the comments of the order online what we wanted and said we would pay extra at the door but because they messed it up refused to fix it

Has to be the best takeaway about, have been using Sahar for over a decade so was surprised tonight when I had to phone and politely complain that our kebabs were stone cold and I had to drain the very runny sauce from my plate before I put in in microwave. I wasn't asking for new meal or refund simply wanted them to know what had happened. Was passed to manager who promptly told me that our meals had been made fresh we got it on time and if we were not satisfied then don't call again to order, then he hung up. Really shocked at how I was spoken to by the usually polite and friendly manager and unfortunately I don't think we will be phoning again.

Excellent food kebabs and curry ar outstanding

Service was ok, Ordered 2, 12" pizza one was pepperoni Feast the other vegetable supreme, my son didn't like the pepperoni as it way too much cheese and you could barely make out the pepperoni. I had the veg. It was the same. If they cut down on the cheese and increase the meat and veg. It would be good. But if you like cheese it's for you.

One of the best takeaways I have ever tasted from. The staff are so friendly and the food is exquisite. Just love the spicy chicken hoggie from there. I always make it a point to buy from them whenever I am in the neighbourhood. I highly recommend this place

Brilliant food at reasonable price

Just had a munchie box delivered. Chicken pakora was rock solid. Two bits of mushroom pakora six bits of chicken boulders, freezing kebab meat and chips, very poor choice. The only plus side was it was delivered quickly. Cost £19.80 and it was disgusting. Never buy from here again.

Disappointing! ordered 3 pizzas and chips, came 1h20m after phoning the delivery food was cold as well by the time we finally got it never again!

Over priced cheep ingredients not worth it

Food here is really good really hot currys exactly how they should be really hot but the flavours are fantastic

Got 2 munchie boxes, nearly broke my teeth on chicken pakora. I,m done with this place now. I have had re-heated out of date food more tham once never again. Problem is theres not any indian places for compitition against sahara.Dont get me wrong i have had great food from them but you need to toss a coin its either gona be good or hard as rocks out of date.
