Kona Coffee Carluke in South Lanarkshire

It’s been over two hours and still no delivery. Asked for some money back and got the reply "We're really sorry your order wasn't delivered on time. Our restaurant was busier than we expected.” After two hours decided to phone the restaurant and was met with a cheeky response from staff claiming they’d tried to deliver and no one answered the door. Didn’t bother to even try to contact us, claimed they’d tried phoned but haven’t get a single missed call - absolutely abysmal service.

Food hot and good quality, value for money

Nice curry… chips like French fries and reheated.. spoilt my experience. Charging over £3 for reheated french fries … tut tut. Rice to be bought separately, making the whole mean inc delivery etc quite expensive for what it was.

Food was cold chicken was slightly pink inside so didn’t eat any of it. Also ordered 2L bottle of cola and got a can

Had a time for collection, had not even started making my order for me at that point so I was waiting 30 minutes more, then was greeted with horrible and rude customer service

Tried to book a table for 6 people and advised I can’t do that so over the phone but need to go onto Facebook or instagram to find the reservation link. Once you find the link the next hurdle you face is having to decide if you want a the à la carte menu or a the 2/3course menu at time of reservation, so back to Facebook to try find up to date menu so I can send to everyone. No thanks. Booked inn on the loch seconds later so much easier.

Minestrone, lasagna and tiramisu Very good, very pleased with service and very friendly

pizza was a very doughy and not much chichen. a chips were also very over done and very crispy. we usually have lovely meals from her so was sorely disappointed tonight.

We came here for the first time, on our 7th wedding anniversary October 2024. We were seated promptly and welcomed wholeheartedly by Roger who looked after to the fullest. Keeping us right with the wine. Food arrived shortly after ordering, Calamari was perfectly lightly crispy paired with salad, and Bruschetta sumptuously garlicy with juicy tomatoes. King Pawn linguine was just the right portion and generous with the prawn - flavour to die for. Chicken and Roast Pepper Risotto was rich and velvety, quite perfect Creamy Tiramisu between two for romantic effect Numerous delicious options on the menu for return visits, although pulling myself away from King Prawn Linguine will be difficult. Highly recommend 10/10 on all counts. Sorry no pictures, food was devoured.

Pizza was stone cold but the kebab meat on top was burnt, and it hadn’t been sliced all the way through so I had to do it myself. Chips and cheese were stone cold too, and they’d hardened so they came out of the polystyrene container in one inedible block. Tried calling but the phone line was busy at the time. Haven’t had an order in months and now I remember why

I ordered set meal c for 3 people and never received the chicken pakora and only 1 rice also 1 of the curries was a korma not a bunah and dopiaza was very watery.

We have recently moved to Carluke and enjoy the naan kebab on occasion. Unfortunately tonight we picked up our order rather than getting it delivered. It must have been sitting since it was ordered. It tasted good but was cold. Also a shame that some of the naan kebabs you must pay extra for salad and sauce and others it’s included.

Lovely food and staff, the booth was a little tight for comfort tho.

4th time in a row that they have forgot items, consistently having to phone as order is not correct. Will not use again.

It was good food, massive generous portions. However I ordered a drink and didn’t get it, so I was disappointed in that. I don’t think they read the options, just what you ordered. Since I also asked for no salad and got salad. But otherwise the food was great.

The worst pizza I have ever seen in my life. I ordered a vegetable calzone which is described on the menu as fried onions, capsicums, mushrooms and cheese. What arrived was a disgusting slop of tomato and cheap mixed vegetables - diced carrots, peas, sweetcorn and green beans. No cheese in sight, no sign of any mushrooms, onions or capsicums. The pizza dough was also undercooked. It was inedible and the whole thing went straight in the bin. I'll never order from here again.

Disappointing this time round. Food very salty. Sauce especially on both our meals. Expensive for what it is. £160 Inc wine,and aperitifs for 2. Starter and dessert nice.

Food is fantastic, some may say a little pricey but you get what you pay for. A little too loud at time when full but other than that, it’s first class.

I always look forward to having a meal at Prego whenever we find ourselves in the area. I absolutely love the penne salsiccia and had to order a second portion the first time I had it. That said, all of the dishes seem well prepared, presented and full of flavour. The gnocchi is excellent too! Highly recommended.

I am finding it hard to right a review, we found the food to be good, but noticed a high taste of garlic and salt with my mushroom on toast , and my pasta carbonara, but unfortunately my tummy disagreed badly , this was shared with my wife, and also she is feeling terrible, I have been extremely unwell for 2 3 days and seen by the hospital, they told me I have investigated a large amount of garlic / salt and damaged the stomach lining, and I have to go back for other tests , I can't eat or drink water without being sick or running to the toilet. And there I thought I had a tummy bug or something , but the hospital at 2am this morning confirmed that I had a large dose of garlic/salt , and kept in just incase of bleeding, The pain with the swelling is making me close to passing out. I have noticed some more reviewswith the same problem , I just hope it's not caused me or anyone any damage long term

Beautiful decor, quick service & very pleasant staff.

Working in Carluke and stumbled upon this attractive cafe while looking for coffee and lunch between gigs. My chai latte was exceptional and my classic Italian ciabatta was delicious. It attracts a wide range of people, all of which looked happy and relaxed. Would definitely recommend this place if visiting Carluke.

It never came, Unhappy as placed order for Asia tandoori, just eat took the money from me, but when I phoned the take away about how longer before my order will be delivered, to be told they don't have an order for my address, as the just eat site is down, I said they took payment, they said I would need to contact just eat, so what do I do to get my money back??????

First visit and will be back very very soon. Lovely atmosphere, the place has a real buzz, very knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff. Food was amazing, fresh, tasty and inexpensive for what we had. The coffees are to die for. Well said we'd be back and we were. Birthday dinner. Didn't think it was possible but it was even better than the first visit. Stunning meals in a lovely friendly atmosphere.

The delivery said that it was on its way , but I had to another 40 mins before it came. Once it came it was cold and burned. Really don’t think I would get it again.

Delivery time was way past the estimate. Got to the point that I called the restaurant to query it and was told the driver was on the way. Food was another 15 minutes and it was cold. Had to reheat the pizza but the £5 chips were thrown in the bin. Really disappointed.

Cold soggy mess. Said it came with chips , chips were rolled up in the wrap. Just awful and absolute rip off at £11:30.

Advised that order was with driver however it was 20/25 minutes later before it arrived. Food was not very warm so had to heat it up

I'm a somewhat regular here, the food and coffee are delicious. Been here with my family once too. My favourite coffee is the chai tea latte, and one time I had this incredible greek-style salad with mozarella, tomatoes and olives that were on for show (I really hope they become part of the menu, they're fantabulous!)

Everything was really good, but they didn’t send the salad I paid an extra £1.30 for so that sucked.

Delivery driver not bringing all my order. Phone the shop for them to say she’s been doing this all night and that they would send her back round over an hour and still nothing phoned about quarter past 10 and still had nothing.

Always great to pop into your local and get great service. 👍🏼 If you haven't been then go give it a go and decide for yourself. 👌🏼

The Bhuna was Just Waterly Curry. Garlic Nan Was A Pain Nan. The Rice was Hard with over Cooked. The Chips Was Undercooked.

First time ordering in a while. Chasni pizza had a scraping of sauce on and was almost watered down. Did not taste like chasni. Colour of it was pink instead of red? Overloaded with cheese and soggy. Full order went in bin sad to say.

We hadn't booked a table but were fitted in with no problem or delay. Service was prompt and courteous. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour (wild mushroom and artichoke risotto, spaghetti carbonara and vedure pizza), a lovely house red was a good accompaniment. We debated a dessert and the recommendation of the pistachio and white chocolate tiramisu was fantastic. Thank you Enrique.

Whist on the way to Stirling we stopped off inCarluke and located this coffee house past the Main Street. Clearly a popular venue, very clean, very friendly service, very enjoyable coffees and I can recommend the Ramsey's bacon sandwich as just right for a brunch. Very pleasant stop-over.

Nice decor, very modern, food was OK thought prices expensive for a lunch especially in a small place like Carluke, what you would expect to pay in Glasgow and not a great choice but food was freshly made and piping hot.

Fantastic date day. First time we had been in a while. Food was excellent, I requested my favourite dish that wasn't on the menu which wasn't an issue, delicious!! Staff were all great. Our friends and my husband and I have always frequented Pregos. We love the food and had a superb meal last friday. They even accommodated myself with a small meal as I have stomach problems. It has all been refurbished and is lovely but the only drawback is it is very noisy. We were in at lunch time and although it wasn't full and we were in a booth we still found it hard to hear our conversations. The meal's were superb as usual and the staff brilliant. I had booked a table for two. When we were shown our table I asked for a different table as the restaurant was not busy. The manager/owner said there was no other table for two and added that they were fully booked. My neice noticed another table for two which was better and asked if we could sit there. The Manager/Owner then acted like a spoiled child not getting his own way. He was rude, bad mannered and most certainly not giving a good example in customer care to the less senior staff. The waitresses Carolina and Kelsey were excellent, friendly and very friendly - the opposite of the Owner. Our starter was first class and so gold star to the chef. The owner brought the main courses to the table and slammed a plate of food in front of my Neice - to which she stated that that was not her food. He then moved the plate of food to in front of me and slammed the other plate in front of my Neice. We were courteous to him but he was bad mannered. The main course was of a very high standard and the tiramisu was fit for a king. Well done, chef. Well done, waitresses. Poor show, owner. I would only return to this restaurant if it was the owner’s day off. Might be worth the owner going on some training on customer care.

My aunt and I came for lunch here today, a belated birthday treat. We arrived half an hour early for our booking as my train was early. The owner told us the place was fully booked although not all of the diners had arrived as yet, and so we asked if we could change to a different table with more space. The owner made such a big deal about doing this, actually acting like a huffy child. I was embarrassed for him. My aunt and I ordered from the lunch menu and the food was DELICIOUS!! Home cooked, expertly cooked, truly a wonderful meal (minestrone, mozza sticks, carbonara, milanese and tirasmisu). The waitresses, Carolina and Kelsy were charming and helpful, very professional. But the owner's petulant behaviour almost ruined the meal. He brought our main courses to the table almost chucking them down in front of us, not even asking who was eating what. He has such an attitude problem! And the table we were supposed to sit at remained vacant the entire afternoon. I spoke with a local later on in the day and she told me the owner has a bad reputation, but that he has a much nicer brother who runs their place in Lanark. Great food, lovely waitresses, if only the owner would stay at home.

Food wasnt too bad but the negatives are 1st the order came incomplete so contacted and it got sorted very friendly however for £1.30 i received 1 poppadom.. since when did poppadoms cost £1.30 each.
