Harvester in South Lanarkshire

Arrived at 7.45pm only to be told that the kitchen was being closed early, then bid a "Have a lovely evening" as we left disappointed.

Sarah was a brilliant host and made sure we had everything we needed. Food was delicious and arrived quickly. Great atmosphere.

Went for a family breakfast with visiting family who were staying. There was 14 of us so big table! Classic breakfast menu, also catered well for vegetarians. Breakfast was great! Service was awesome. Wish I could remember our servers name because she was fabulous, in the ball and very friendly. Atmosphere was pretty standard chain restaurant dull at breakfast time. Pretty quiet. We'll definitely return for breakfast next time the family visit

Staff excellent, helpful,food choices good. An excellent boxing day afternoon.

The delivery time was pushed out 3 times so the food was delivered 25 mins after the first given delivery time. Most of the food was well overcooked- the halloumi snapped in half it was so burnt. Not the usual decent quality- very disappointed.

Outstanding performance from young Sophie tonight she took the banter well ...caught me on the edge of a couple of jokes between the table but she had a laugh. Great to see somebar staff can still enjoy themself at work and have a right good giggle ... honestly I'm there all the time n that was very very enjoyable Cheers

Did ask for no jalapeños but that's not reading ticket properly. I picked them put. no big issue. Gougons I'd have like maybe one ot two more. Bbq sauce with them was delicious. Overall I enjoyed it.

Sophie was so attentive and was very sweet with my baby daughter too, which made my visit all the more relaxing as it was such a friendly environment. Excellent service all round.

I visited Harvester Restaurant East Kilbride on the evening of Tuesday 6th August 2024. The food and the service were fine. The rump steak was exceptionally high-quality meat. The two waitresses wearing grey tops were very attentive and very personable, despite evidently being 'rushed off their feet'. The atmosphere of constant 'hurry' gave me the very strong impression that the restaurant was understaffed that evening. Two minuses, however. I often eat at Harvester restaurants, and last night was the first time in my experience that a Harvester Restaurant has been unable to supply mustard. Also, no bread was available, which suggests a major management failing.

Both me and my husband had ordered a breakfast it came out and it was cooked beautiful. The service we got was excellent her name was Laura she made us fell welcome so I would like to thank Laura and the staff for a wonderful breakfast if anyone is looking for someone to go I recommend this restaurant

Had a lovely meal yesterday. Good food, great value. Shout out to young Lisa with the long hair, she was fab. I have allergies and she dealt with them brilliantly. Made to feel very welcome.

The staff presented my son's birthday cake to him and sang happy birthday with us. It made his birthday so much more special as we don't have a big family. I can't thank them enough for making it a special day for us.

Food was great, atmosphere was lovely but the staff were amazing especially Lisa. Very welcoming and helpful.

We were in on Tuesday for dinner. Service from Finn was excellent and food was lovely.

On first entry to this harvest I was hit with a stale smell of dampness mixed with dirt. Not a smell you want to walk into just before you are about to eat. We got served fairly quick. And got our glasses for our refill drink and our bowls for our salad. Walking up to the salad bar I was put of as soon as I looked at the food. It was dried our pasta and beans with very limited plan salad. I did not take anything from the salad bar, but my wife did and in fairness she said it was fresh salad. I orderd the combo which is quarter of chicken and pork rids and chips. My wife ordered a vegetarian burger. Our food came and I looked good, but that was the only good thing about it. My chicken and ribs were so dry, that I had to use my drink to wash the food down. The chips had a sage and onion seasoning on them which was so salty that I had to scrape it off in order to eat them. My wife's burger also looked good, but had no flavour and she did not enjoy it. This left us both really disappointed. I had not been to a harvester for a good few years, I always had good food anytime I did go. So this is why we decided to go back. But I can say without a doubt that I will never go back to any harvester for anything as the food is up there with some of the worst I have ever had.

My barbecue chicken was like rubber, outside dry, inside not properly cooked. Buns were stale at the salad bar, probably at least a day old. As soon as we finished dinner waitresses kept coming to the table if we want something. When we said no for a few times, then finally one came asking if we 'want' the bill. We had bottomless drinks though and were having a good chat. They literary pressurised us to leave, even though the restaurant was quite empty. Very rude. Disappointing after other Harvester experiences from different locations.

After two hours and thirty minutes my food never arrived, restaurant says courier never showed and they requested a second driver. No updates from yourselves but app says food delivered. Shocking customer service from Just Eat

8 of my family had lunch here, unfortunately we will no be returning. Whilst the waiting staff are very good and gave good service the food is very poor. Please avoid the cheese topped garlic bread, as what is served is not that at all, it was a bread roll with some melted cheese on too very stodgy and could not be eaten. If you are going to make garlic bread from rolls then at least slice them and use garlic butter. The breaded mushrooms are another one to avoid. Instead of using button mushrooms they use large ones which gives a very watery and oily fried myshroom. On the positive side the fried prawns and jalapeno poppers are good as is the fish and chips and the deserts. The salad bar is a great idea however some of the basics are poor, the coleslaw is a bit watery obviously not enough mayo or its been watered down, same with some of the sauces they also seem watered down and runny including the tatare sauce with the fish. Whilst some dishes are okay or good the ones i have named above just let the whole meal down.

Service was great. Food was lovely and reasonably priced.

Had a family meal of 13 people here today and had to mention how amazing Dani is- the company is so lucky to have such a bubbly and hard working person on the team, nothing was too much of a problem and she went the absolute extra mile to accommodate everyone and we had a lot of dietary requirements and allergies. Everyone who dined was really happy with their food and liked the laid back atmosphere which is great for families.

Me and family come often Always a nice meal Lovely staff. Seemed to be alot of people complaining about things being missing from the salad bar. Although waiting until they were leaving to complain. We made the girl aware the lettuce had ran out and it filled up within a minute or so. This is to be expected when it's busy.

A fairly standard pub grub affair. Tasty enough for the price but not overly memorable. Good location and the soft play is great for younger kids.

Fantastic service with exceptional food, We visited over the weekend and we're looked after by Paige, she was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and her recommendation of the chicken Skewers for my main course was definitely the right one, the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit to Harvester!

Anna who served us is super friendly, welcoming and lovely natured. Attentive service, would 100% tip service everytime. Would reccomend anyone to come and experience the service from anna.

Was treated to an early lunch here while visiting family and thoroughly enjoyed our meal and time here. Food was delicious, staff were friendly and always super helpful. Only minor complaint would be my partner received her burger with cheese when it was requested that it be without but we didn't want to make a fuss and she just took it out after it was brought over. Would definitely visit again 👍🏻

Expensive menu and much better places to eat in East Kilbride

delivery was fast but for 15 pound the chicken and waffle wasn't good, small portion, bacon was not cooked well, was hoping for syrup with chicken and waffles but was some spicy sauce I didn't enjoy, the chicken did taste nice but overall wasn't too happy with what I got

Delivery time was moved out 3 times- not great when you order more than an hour in advance because you need to eat at a certain time.

Dreadful experience from start to finish. Started with a young boy pointing to a table for us to go, only to hear other members of staff telling him not to do that so we were left awkwardly standing in the middle of the restaurant. Took 30 minutes for get a drinks order taken, Another 30 minutes for a meal order then a further 30 minutes to have plates taken away with staff standing staring whilst prioritising cleaning the same salad bar tray 3 times over. Highly overpriced for the service we received

The food does not travel well. The fish was like warm and the chips were cold. The packaging required better insulation.

The Harvester was always our go to place for breakfast until our last visit which was very disappointing. They have changed the unlimited breakfast to the ultimate breakfast which would be good if you liked all the items given. You are allowed to take items off the plate but not allowed to substitute the removed items with something else which is pretty unfair seeing as the black pudding is absolutely disgusting, so basically you are still paying £9.99 for a breakfast with or without what is offered. Sorry but The Lee Burn is now our go to place for breakfast, unlimited cooked breakfast and free continental for the same price.

Please do not go for the rice. It’s frozen and reheated and came to our plate with the label of the factory on 😱😱😱We told the management but never offered a refund

Been 3 times lately, and it just gets progressively worse each time. Food is a joke. Salad bar is always empty. Their fryers clearly need to be cleaned as there are black bits all over the chips. Staff seem like the old Mary Jane more than working. My 4 year old loves it, and her food has always been spot on. She loves the DIY desert. Credit where its due for that but the rest of it is unacceptable, and I really hope I don't have to go back.

Driver didn’t ring door bell (knocked door) and didn’t allow sufficient time for me to get to door. There is a notice advising I am disabled. Left food on wet doorstep. Baked potato & corn on the cob slightly overdone.

Don't know what's happened to this place. Haven't been in for awhile I've literally just walked out. Waited 20 mins, no drinks, no salad bowl given, even though I asked after 10 mins..was then told they didn't have what I ordered. The service is atrocious.

Very happy with the service given here. One of our party has many allergies, which can often cause problems when eating out, but Lisa Mcmillan was very helpful and made the process pleasant. She really seemed happy to help in any way she could. In fact all of the staff we encountered tonight were helpful.

The waiter was exceptional he made the visit tbh. Nice cheery young tall lad with light brownish hair, good brunch very tasty I had the chicken and bacon waffles and my pal had a breakfast.

This is the 2nd time we have used Fuzzy Eds for my 2 daughter's birthday parties and again we had the best time and had family and friends saying it was such a lovely relaxed experience. Sophie was great as I wasn't feeling very well and she made sure everyone was happy. Took the pressure off of me. Will definitely be booking again! Thanks again 😊

Rude phone call from driver asking for my address and postcode despite this info already being on my order. Tried to give the info, driver shouted, send it to me and hung up. He was over 10 mins late.

We stayed for four nights over New Year but not New Year´s Eve. Toilets were a bit grubby and the building is rather unkempt and rundown but the restaurant and staff were very good. They ran out of chicken on 2 different days which was unfortunate. The lighting is very dark, I found that annoying as I struggled to read the menu. The breakfast menu food was exceptional on all the days we ate there. More pros than cons and would go back as my daughter lives nearby. Overall no problems.
