This place used to be good now it's a joke bad service extremely rude make you out a liar waiting time for order in shop 40 mins and the food was bad

Ordered fish and chips they served all online orders first and delivery.before getting round to people in the shop .if you order food on line.should not be allowed to jump the que.its a shame the other chip shop was closed. Be faster driving to wishaw other than that fish was ok 🚀🚀

Great chip shop, varied range of foods, good customer service and fresh chips. Prices seem fair also.

Quite abrupt on the phone when I had to call to sat they had forgotten to add in the cans of cola. Food is okay but bare in mind reviews speak volumes.

Portion sizes reducing and prices going up! The food however is very good and the service is great. Chi Ken tika kebabs are superb and love the Pizza, make it crispy on the bottom while still juicey on top. 👌🏼👍🏼 But! I Still can't understand why we need to pay for a paper bag to take your food away. It's only plastic bags you need to pay extra for so this doesn't seem right. Making a fortune just from the bags they sell now. 🤔🤔🤔

First time going, staff was nice but they forgot to put our pizza in the oven and we had to wait 30mins and then they got my sausage supper order wrong, was almost cold by the time they made the pizza

It's a fish and chips shop but has a good selection of other foods. Really busy 5-6pm so you can wait 20+ minutes for your order.

Meal was cold and unappetising. Will definitely not be going back again.

Was here with livi bikers for a chippy Tuesday run and was plesenly surprised food was good and the service was fast one of the better chippy shops iv been to would definitely go back

Visited Ebi's Takeaway in Carluke for the first time with the Livi Bikers motorcycle group and was very impressed. Around 20 of us arrived and the staff were quick to take orders and have us fresh food all around the same time so we could eat together. Prices on par for the area and a great cold juice selection. Staff were courteous and kind to all the riders, evens the couple of us who parked up right outside their window. Highly recommend and if ever back in the area will be my go to chippy.

Use this chip shop a lot unfortunately tonight’s order was cold when delivered was happy to wait the hour for delivery but did not expect the fish supper, pie supper and extra chips to be cold time to look else where clearly don’t appreciate customer loyalty

Incredibley late to deliver and when the food eventually turned up items were missing. Phoned the shop about the missing item and were told they did pack it. Must of vanished then

Considering they have put the prices up 2 nights ago I got three suppers and the lack of chips is laughable. You get more when you go in for a lunch time special. Attitudes are stinking as well. Waited that long for chips I was no longer hungry luckily with the amount of chips we got 😂

You could instantly tell it's popular from the size of the queue, but worth waiting for. Although the queue looked bad at first sight it actually moved quickly from the efficient staff and we didn't have long to wait for a delicious supper

Feel I’ve no choice but to leave this review! Over 2 hours for a delivery to be told 30 minutes previously that it was out! To THEN receive the tiniest portion of food I’ve probably ever seen but yet I’ve paid for large ! Never again will I buy from this chip shop EVER! BRING BACK ALFIES !

Ordered at 5.10pm, food arrived more than an hour and a half later. The food was freezing cold. Phoned the shop and they are sending another pizza. 2 hours later and I am still waiting for my original order! The attitude of the people on the phone and the service is discusting, this isn’t the first time this has happened either! I requested a refund and was told to give them back the original order and the money would be refunded in 4 working days! Because Ebis have cornered the market in Carluke the quality of service and food is appalling but no one can do anything to improve it! Absolutely hideous!

Says on website closes at 10pm but phone a delivery at 9.45 to be told sorry deliveries have stopped so maybe it should state this on the website

I’ve driven past this place a million times and had always assumed it was an okay chippy that also did pizza. We had a craving for pizza the other day, and since there are not many places in the area that do pizza we figured we’d risk it. I’m so glad that we did! The pizza was delicious! Really good pizza base rather than the prefrozen bases you get from a chippy usually. Will be coming back for more next time the pizza itch needs scratching!

Stood for 10 minutes outside in the rain finally got in waited in the queue put order in told a couple of minutes for chips stood and waited another 15 minutes while every body else got served went back up asked if order was ready only to be told we are waiting for fish there was plenty when I ordered poor service 45 mins waisted

Any order I had has been prompt and piping hot keep up the good service

Ordered online but still waited 20 minutes with walk in customers being served ahead of me. At least nine employees working behind counter with no facemasks or other PPE, and no social distancing. Not recommended.

06.09.2020 Update to this review. Just got a portioj of chips no bigger than what you get out a box of frozen mccains micro chips. Absolute disgrace. Lifted box out the bag and genuinely thought with the weight that id have seen a fritter in it. Yet again piss poor. Management dont own up to this and dont attempt to resolve. Girl with dark hair and fringe seems to be the one causing issues So last 2 times iv phoned ahead and ordered. Both occasions iv turned up at the time said and the order isnt ready. 1st time they hadnt passed the order to the cook. Queued outside for another 10 minutes on the 2nd occasion to find out the order wasnt here. Told 20 minutes for a collection but this is a joke Especially when left waiting another 25 minutes after walking in at the time specified by staff to collect. Pre orders should have priority over walk-ins. Portions of the fish have gotten a lot smaller as well and is more batter than fish. Will be going to Lanark or Law for a chippy thats actually worth while. Joke of a place! Staff prefer to argue amongst themselves and offer nothing in terms of an apology.

Best pizza weve had in a long time

Literally EVERY time you order online whether its for collection or delivery they get something wrong. This time its no cheese on the chips last time it was no sauce and the time before that it was sauce on stuff we didn't ask for it on. Never ordering again and will go to Armandos from now on

Really needing to have customer service training for staff - no pleasantries, foul language from staff, no whites on, no hair nets, bad attitude all round and chips were hard.

This fish & chip shop is now closed and has been for several weeks. Alfie's was a great fish & chip shop with a huge reputation locally for its pizzas but, sadly, he wasn't paying his bills and was forced to close.

Took my payment but nothing turned up at the agreed time, never answered the phone. Did a runner, feel ripped off.

reviewing the Carluke one, but it was actually closed and we used Lanark.. everything was still hot when got to Overtown, just proves that Alfie cannot be beaten for a good fish supper

The chipshop has went right down hill went for 2 fish suppers 2 weeks ago and when the girl was putting the fish into the box I noticed for the big fish supper she was giving us 2 halves of fish so I asked her why we were getting 2 halves she said that's how it come so I said sorry but if you don't mind could we please have a whole fish then to be told from who is the owner if you don't like 2 halves of fish I can F-OFF and go somewhere else very nice way to talk to a customer as I was leaving there was a wee old man that had heard everything that was said to me and he walk out to if the 2 halves of fish had maybe been a nice size then I would have maybe thought about taking them but they were so small and for the price he is taking it is disgusting now I no why the chipshop round the corner is always busy and you get 2 whole fish in there fishsuppers.

Fried food is very greasy. Not nice tasting. Very poor service. Overpriced. No good chip shops in carluke. Poor quality and too expencive. Avoid

Food is exactly what you'd expect, nothing special, just input. Having been here several times over the last year I'm always taken aback by how miserable the staff are. I've yet to see a single smile, and that's even after long waiting periods! You'll be waiting 10 minutes for just a fish supper, no preparation goes on in advance of customer demand, some might think they're after the "freshly cooked" approach, but seems a bit futile with this sort of basic food. On my first visit, I had the audacity to ask what type of fish was available, and the girl just replied with a vacant stare and the gem, "whut, it's fish". Good job there's not much competition in this wee town...

OK. Dear for what you are getting. round the corner is 5% cheaper and the portions are slightly bigger. Food quality is always good.

A great take away. The "make your own" pizzas are fantastic, freshly made with plenty of topping. Chips are lovely and fresh and a generous portion. Busy at the weekend but worth the wait.

well worth the drive from Overtown, been going here for a few years now the food is excellent and the quality is consistent, the batter on the fish and the fish are always the same, the portions are fantastic, just what you need in a good fish supper, don't forget the mushy peas.

Hadnt been in a while due to poor service from girls serving, went recently to find it still the same. All staff look so miserable and unfriendly towards customers. Definetly wont be back.
