After a long journey this little stop was exactly what was needed. So quaint and met all our needs. I had the best egg Mayo roll ever. My friends enjoyed the ham and cheese toastie and tuna Mayo rolls. They also served one of the best espressos I’ve had. Definitely pleasantly surprised. Would come again.

What a warm welcome from Andi when we arrived, after a long day travelling and it was 9pm.This hotel lodge is an absolute must when in the area it just makes you feel comfortable from you walk in the door,we had a drink at the bar before we went to our room which was absolutely perfect, I had booked a twin without realising and Andi quickly changed it to a double the service is fantastic. Breakfast was lovely and yes Andi in every place we've stayed so far your haggis is the best lol. While checking out we met Andi's mum who told me about Stanley the deer and his brother and theyre hats such a lovely woman and met Mia the dog who was the light guard lol and an absolute beauty I can not praise this hotel enough such a nice family business great location good breakfast good rooms we really did enjoy our stay and that was only 1 night unfortunately .

Had the most amazing meal/experience last Saturday night. The staff were so friendly and the food was so good. It was my birthday and I also left with a bottle of your delicious gin that my partner decided I needed as an extra bday present. Look forward to my next visit. Thank you.

Zeer ruime keuze homemade pies, zowel hartig als zoet. We proefden er drie verschillende en ze waren alledrie erg lekker. Leuk om te zien hoe mensen van heinde en verre pies komen halen. Ontzettend hartelijke bediening. Mooi terras bij mooi weer, veranda zonder uitzicht bij slecht weer. Hele goede prijskwaliteitverhouding.

Over priced hotel in a lovely spot so it met our expectations. The room was small and expensive but comfortable enough. The welcome was very good from the woman on reception who was excellent throughout. The man on the bar and serving breakfast was pleasant but not warm. When I asked for a wine list at the bar he just listed the white wines sold by the glass - clearly women don’t drink red!! I asked for the wine list again. Considering the price of the hotel and the fact we had made our booking months in advance the unavailability of haggis as part of the promised Scottish breakfast was poor and the lack of genuine apology or offer to replace it with something else was also poor, as was the total lack of marmalade. Neither should be hard to source in Scotland! The hotel seems to rest entirely on location and it does have some gorgeous views but we stayed in lots of amazing places in Scotland with good views none as overpriced as this. And just beware the hotel is on a working slipway into the Loch with associated traffic and some views interrupted by a green mound and public toilets, none of which are shown on the careful photos on the website. Our stay was rewarded with a dinner of the first langoustine of the season. We’d chosen the hotel for its reputation for seafood and then the standard menu changed on us to something less interesting but the specials of langoustines or hake made up for that and our meals were good.

We loved this campsite - the best one we stayed at on The NC500 ! The facilities were excellent & everything looked so new , spotlessly clean & warm . Beautiful pitches with stunning views all round- weather perfect & very relaxing location so could have easily stayed there for longer than one night ! Enjoyed our evening meal in The Hallandale Inn on site - clean , cosy & very welcoming . Excellent food too - had pre-booked a table as the restaurant is so popular.

We know the Tongue area very well, and like to eat locally, so it was obvious we would decide to eat at the Craggan, and i'm happy we did! The restaurant area is welcoming and clean, staff friendly, and the car park was easy even with a big van. The only problem was choosing from the menu! So many tasty things - i wish we had more time to visit again.. All three of us enjoyed our food, and we shared everything so i know it was all delicious. Thank you for making a rather wet evening so special..

Despite cappuccino being served in latte cups it was good. The wraps we ordered were virtually inedible. Wrap was doughy and raw. Tuna mayo was dolloped without a care in the world. ‘Salad’ consisted of brown cress. Then we had to ask for cutlery and napkins. Oh and the crisps were soft. There’s no excuse for not being able to serve up and appetising snack. My recommendation: take sandwiches and a flask and enjoy the wonderful beach.
