Halladale Inn in Highland

Fantastic food with wonderful ,friendly and chatty service from Stephanie.The Cullen skink was so good that I had it two nights in a row. The cranachan was excellent too. The breakfast morning rolls were tasty and fully loaded .A great find adjacent to the North Coast campsite.

expected good food at fair prices, waited all most 1 hour after booking shocked fish & chips were very poor, so bad we complained bitterly and finally got full refund our other meals were Gammon so hard ~I just managed to eat half of it , the last was a Haggis Burger totally tasteless and very poor quality a total waste of money, we all left hungry

Went in here for dinner, expected pub grub, but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality and standard of food. Would recommend very happily.

What a wonderful spot, great food, great hospitality, excellent facilities. All very welcome whilst touring in this area of northern Scotland. If your doing the NC500 - stop here.

We had booked a night on the campsite en route on the nc500. On arrival we went to reception and waited as instructed until 2pm to check in. We tried the door which was locked so pressed the bell. The guy sat in reception came and unlocked the door and walked back to his desk. We let our selves in and he never spoke. We said we’re here to check in and he said we’ll come over here so very rude we thought. We will not return

We've been here a lot over the year's when on holiday, but I doubt we will come again. Two of us had Fish and Chips the beer batter hadn't been cooked through and was very wet inside, had it been cooked it would have overcooked the fish! Also Jersey Royals are not grown to make chips, they should be steamed or boiled, as any chef should know. Maris Pipers are the preferred choice for good chips.

After driving for most of the day we called in to the Halladale Inn for food at about 7pm. We were told that they prefer if we had booked in advance, but I didn't see that on their website anywhere. We did check times etc before calling in. Staff were very pleasant 😊 But I ordered a warm chicken salad. I was quite disappointed to be given what was essentially a plate full of different lettuce leaves a couple of cherry tomatoes, 2 slices of cucumber with the centre removed and 4 chicken goujons. The goujons were halved to make it look luke more on the plate. This cost £10.50. Which I think is quite expensive for what I got. It is usually served with peppers, but I asked for them to be left out. A disappointing meal, but I ate it because I was so hungry. I don't think I would bother calling I there again. I wish I had taken photos of the meal, but that wasn't a priority at the time.

Lovely food and staff. Haggis neeps and tatties 👌. Staying on the adjoining campsite which is also clean and tidy. Highly recommended

The caravan park was lovely. Nice and clean. We had a meal in the bistro. Worst meal I've had. My wife had a burger and I had the fish and chips. Never had batter like that before. It was soggy and not cooked on the inside. It had herbs in it and something to turn the batter very yellow. The onions rings were also very undercooked and the same bather.

Very nice atmosphere warm and friendly good food would go there again in the future. Real fire is a really nice touch. Xxx

What a great find, the lunch was delicious and service very friendly. Huge range of options on the menu, and equally huge servings!! Beautiful views. Definitely recommend.

A big shout out to Maddi for being such a wonderful host! My colleagues and I had a super tasty lunch and dinner at the Inn. Maddi was so accommodating and stayed open a little later to service us pizzas after a day's work. Her team were very friendly and helpful throughout the day too. We'll look forward to returning in the Spring.

Staying at the Campsite in our Motorhome so thought we would treat ourselves to a meal out. Wow! That exceeded our expectations...wonderful food, top class and excellent service. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed nearby at The Steading Airbnb so wondered by with Dog for a coffee and breakfast. Tried Haggis for the first time and loved it. The cafe was so welcoming and friendly we came back for dinner with the kids in the restaurant. Lovely food and service was fantastic. Thank you for looking after us all including Joey the dog. Really nice place.

This spot is perfect for a quick meal on the go. Lovely people and great service. Highly recommend for anyone with any dietary requirements.

Great find as I made my way up to John O' Groats. Very friendly welcome and quick service. Pot of (A bit weak for my liking) tea and a plate of Scampi & salad. Just what I needed.

Booked a spot last minute on the campsite, and was thrilled to bits. The place gets overlooked on NC500 as it’s a smaller site than others, but it is by far much nicer than the bigger named and popular places on the route. Immaculately clean and tidy, would definitely recommend. Food in the bar was lovely, reasonably priced with excellent service. Doggy friendly. Great all round!!

Stopped for a bite to eat on our NC500 journey. Lovely restaurant and was lucky to get the last table as all the others reserved. We had the Haggis bon bons which were lovely and well prepared. Followed by fish and chips which was delicious such a light crispy batter. Definitely pleased we stopped just for the fish and chips alone. Enjoyed a lovely lunch here en route to The Flow Country. Very pet-friendly inside the restaurant and staff very helpful. A good choice of menu - would recommend the curry. Large car park too, so no problems parking.

Booked into the campsite for 1 night and it's the best we stayed in during our NC500 travels ! Toilets/shower rooms were immaculate, restaurant was lovely and food was delicious. Had the best nights sleep here so quiet and peaceful! Would definitely return!
